I haven't seen anything over $4 per gallon around my house yet, very close to it though at about $3.98..doesn't help when the only car we can drive long distances is a guzzler!

Parks in Oregon

There is a SBNO park in Turner! Not a theme park, but if you're into waterparks one's opening June 6 that looks pretty cool. http://www.evergreenmuseum.org/waterpark/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK-Qlt5HD1o -
PTR: Hansa/ Heide and Movie park Germany
deathbydinn replied to Dacorian's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for posting this! I always love seeing pictures of Hansa, I really am hoping to head out there some day, the whole park just looks great with some interesting rides and really nice theming. Krake looks really great as well, wouldn't complain about a few mini-divers popping up in the US. Nice to see Heide put in a ride that isn't white and green. -
They didn't even fully remove them, the poles are all standing. I'm hoping this means they'll put up some new boards in the near future, as I think it looks bad as is. Few other updates: - Little Dipper has some new art on the front cat replacing the stars. - MagiQuest is gone and the area it used appears to be vacant. I personally hope it's used for something other than more games. - As said a few pages back, some of the Camp Cartoon rides were removed from the website, as of yesterday they were still there. - The antique cars are closed, and some construction has taken place in the SWF area. I didn't see any of the track removed however (although there was a large pile of rocks on part of it) so hopefully the rumor that it will return in 2012 will be true.

I really like Iron Wolf at SFGAm, sure it's not the smoothest coaster but I've never found it to be too bad. I love the feeling of the drop into the corkscrew and the twisty track that follows. I rode Gwazi this summer, before the new trains, and also really liked it and found it smooth and enjoyable. I believe it was getting some track work done to prepare for the MFs, so while that could have helped I really didn't find any parts on either side to be horribly rough. Sure it lacked good airtime but really not a bad ride in my mind. Finally, the Dark Knight at SFGAm is another I really do like. While it may have been more of a disappointment than something people hate, I find it to be a really fun nicely themed ride. I like just plain wild mouses in general so being indoors and the theming really makes me like this one, it's a great break from the bigger intense rides and one I do try to ride at least once each time I go, although sometimes the line prevents that from happening.

Dania Beach Hurricane Declares Bankruptcy

I'm a little confused here, was the DBH owned and operated by an outside party even though it was on Boomers property, or is the whole Boomers area closed? -
This might be better for the random forum since it's not huge news, but still... http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2011/04/23/lady-gaga-gears-up-for-theme-park-115875-23080197/ Not exactly the first theme you would think of for a park, but hey, if it was built I really can't imagine it would fail!

Not exactly the traditional Wild Mouse layout, but.. Super Tornado -
Found a few things on the parks Facebook that could be of interest. First, the park has confirmed multiple times that Mr. Freeze is currently having some technical issues, and did not open the past weekend. Hopefully since the park is not open all week yet, they will be able to fix it quickly. Haven't seen any more details besides technical problems though. For the parks 40th season there are signs like this around the park, and they will be there all season. Link American Thunders new sign: Link

Does anyone know what song is used for this park on the coaster footage dvd? Still looking for this one, if anyone has any idea about it.

^ They took out their wild mouse in '08, but it was a standard Mack mouse, not a spinner. -

Heres an offride video of the new coaster. If you watch closely when the train is exiting the brake run you can see the light effects on the front of the train. There is also on on ride video posted on the same channel, but I don't know if it was taken with permission or not so I won't post it here. -
^ We haven't gotten a new coaster since last year. You mentioned that we deserve a new coaster being the most profitable park, and as much as I would like a new coaster, we need to think of it from the companies stand point. We haven't received any major coaster in eight years now, yet we continue to be the most profitable park year after year, the park is doing just fine as is. Considering Six Flags doesn't have the money to give a major coaster to each park, they are going to give them to parks that aren't the most profitable to help raise their profits, before giving one to a park that from a profit point of view, doesn't really need one. I am excited to see/hear about changes to Demon and Iron Wolf though!

^^ They didn't take it off the site when they added the Riptide Bay rides. The rumor on Screamscape is that it will just be SBNO for this season while construction takes place for the 2012 project. To add the rumor about BBNP leaving for go karts.. ..theming for the train sitting in the parks ride graveyard. Link Not sure if this was mentioned, but the MaqiQuest page has also been taken done, so that will also probably be leaving with the rest of the IPs.
