http://screamscape.com/html/six_flags_america.htm Screamscape is pretty dead set on this happening. I know SFA people probably wont be too happy to get a 22 year old B&M, but if it were to get new trains, I think it could be pretty good. I'm still hoping it'll stay at GRAm and you'll get yourselfs a nice Zac-Spin or Euro-Fighter.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
deathbydinn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Six Flags Great America has one with a divider, one side is free and one side you pay for so the wait is shorter and you also have someone there who can help you do tricks or stand up on the board and whatnot. From what I've seen thats been working pretty well, I know HW doesn't tend to charge extra for a lot of things, but its a nice way to allow people who are serious about surfing to have more time with it. -
One big reason I could see it going though, is if they took IW and the Wilderness Theater out (is that ever even used anymore?) they could have a nice chunk of land for a new large major coaster. If needed they could even build over some of the log flumes and back end of Picnic Grove. The splashwater falls site would be nice for more compact coaster, but there isn't much area to branch out around it besides Demons turnaround.

I don't know if its my height, or lack of it, but I've never had problems with IW besides one jolt before the corkscrew. I've had worse rides on newer coasters, even newer B&Ms. Plus, I love IWs layout, and it is one IMO one of the better coasters in the park, so as much as I'd hate to see it go, I geuss living on at SFA would be better than the scrap heap.

To add to the Zac Spin..no clue if this is true or not, but I had heard that originally SFA and SFNE were to recieve Zac-Spins, but when the managment changed it went to SFMM instead, and one was cancelled, so perhaps if the one at MM is viewed as a succsess they'll send to its originally planned destination?

^ I said it in the SFA thread, and I'll say it here again. Six Flags Great Adventure NEVER said GASm wasn't being removed, they said the rumored DATE OF CLOSURE was wrong, not that the ride wouldn't be going. Great America has come out and said many times that they have NO PLANS to remove Iron Wolf. I know things have come up suddenly in the past, but parks have plans set for years in advance, if IW was really leaving, the park would already know and wouldn't say its staying like they did TODAY. Sorry for venting, I just keep seeing people bring up the GADv thing on multiple forums and it was really starting to annoy me.

Jin Jiang Action Park to install GIB
deathbydinn replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
About the trans, I went on the parks website and noticied that the simulation for the ride was using the Invertigo style trains with people sitting back to back. Perhaps we'll be seeing those on a GIB for the first time? -
Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011
deathbydinn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I find the fact that they stripped down the chicken for the droid absolutely hilarious. The park, rides, and merchandise for that matter all look amazing, although still celebrating Easter is a bit odd. -

The animation company- http://www.3dvip.com/About/About.htm Portfolio hasn't been updated for a while, not sure if they go under a different name or something, but all the projects from 07 and before are there. -
Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011

That hotel looks incredible. It looked like a good amount of the outside wasn't even accessable but it's still there and is insanely well themed. It looks like they built a whole town! -
Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011

And here I thought Animal Kingdom looked good... Besides the park looking incredible, I really like how the hotel actually looks over the park. I felt a bit disconnected from the parks at my WDW hotel, since you had to take a bus and couldnt really see it. That view and being able to see the show from the hotel is really amazing. And until this update, I thought Aquatopia was litteraly a water version of Autopia where you raced people. -
Something that could be of interest, a member from GADV.com posted an album of pictures from the SFGADV survey regarding 2012 additions and prices and what not. Haven't really been following the thread a ton, so sorry if this isn't really new news, but it's still surprising to see how upfront the park is being about it. http://s1130.photobucket.com/albums/m538/GadvMike/Great%20Adventure%20Survey/
