Have you ever been in a fistfight?
Sean Menefee replied to JFrombaugh's topic in Random, Random, Random
<----- Is a hockey player who has taken/given more then a few beat downs during my years on the ice. (I've even been knocked loopy more times then I would like to admit.) Even to this day, getting punched/punching anyone in the noggin still totally sucks. I'm also not a out in public brawler at all. Bail costs to much, and it's impossible to beat intelligence into stupid people. It's easier to keep it moving. -Sean -

All of the hockey nostalgia is much appreciated. I've played the game since I was old enough to skate, and watched it even longer. It's always nice to find other theme park nerds that are even BIGGER hockey nerds. BTW The Panthers stuff made me think of their 96' playoff game against Boston: Last but not least.... useless hockey knowledge for anyone interested: Sacramento had an RHI team called the River Rats back in the mid 90's (Anyone else remember the RHI other then me?) that also had a "Rat Patrol" clean up crew for their home games. Thanks for all of the photos again! -Sean "Wasn't a huge fan of the rats due to it messing with the flow of the games!" Menefee -
A few more photographs from my brief trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom last Sunday. I should have a new SM2 update posted later this week with all of the photos from my visit. -Sean More coming soon!

Hey Yamez, Drop me an email at sean@sm2designs.com and we can talk some website ideas and ways to get your foot in the door. I have a book of suggestions, and I would encourage you to pursue your own ideas if you're truly serious. This isn't any easy thing to break into, but if your persistent, your content is high quality, and you grow your contacts slowly, it's very possible. Anyways, good luck. Hope to hear from you in the near future if you're interested. -Sean

Kentucky bluegrass goodness. The only thing that could make this scenery even better would be an ice cold bottle of Ale-8-One to enjoy it with. I actually sort of miss Kentucky theses days. -Sean Edit..... You can see the larger version of this photo by clicking the link below: http://sm2designs.com/screens/031.jpg Lexington, KY

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

Here is a screen capture since their webcam isn't working very well for me at the moment. Edit.... This ride looks pretty impressive. I can't wait to get back to Holiday World in 2010. -Sean -
My girlfriend and I have stayed both on Point, (Breakers and the hideously overpriced Lighthouse Point) and at the Hampton Inn at Sandusky. We tend to favor the Hampton just because it's a bit nicer/newer feeling, the surrounding area seems safer, and if you're already going to be forced into a over priced room, at least it will be clean 95% of the time. I have stories that would make a grown man cry about our 3 night stay at Lighthouse Point in 2007. We unfortunately payed for 3 nights in advance for starters. Then had such an un-relaxing/bug filled visit that we actually left the cabin abandoned on the 3rd night, and went back to the Hampton to get some real sleep. Here is their website if you're curious: http://www.hamptoninn.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=SKYOHHX Sandusky is a bit tricky, but if you do enough research, you can find a few decent gems. Good Luck! -Sean

My girlfriend and I were saying the exact same thing last weekend. SFDK's version of Mr. Six is honestly a bit fright fest-ish looking, but we couldn't look away ever time we saw him on our visit. He definitely stands out in a crowd. Here is a full size shot of Vallejo-Fish's very own, Mr. Six! -Sean Cool yet kinda scary, in a San Francisco street performer sorta way. You feel like you should watch him for a second, drop a few quarters into his cup, then run back to your car as quickly as possible.
