  1. My contribution/entry to this thread full of awesomeness. -Sean Holiday Haunted Iron Mansion?
  2. Thanks for taking the time to post a TR Josh. The connection between the park and the dolphin fountain up front is that SFDK used to be called Marine World before/after the park moved from Redwood City. It's a bit of a relic from the MWAUSA days. From the every trusty Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_World/Africa_U.S.A.,_California -Sean The original Marine World
  3. I think you mean the World Trade Center. But yeah, that's an absolutely fantastic film. Far more intense than just a skyway. I actually have that documentary on my computer right now, and snagged a few screenshots for anyone interested. ANY person who can do this sort of thing for a living gets my respect. Being able to tune this kind of danger out and actually enjoy yourself is a super human feat IMO. -Sean
  4. The shot below is fun stuff PKD, thanks for posting! You actually managed to make a photo of track look exciting sitting in a parking lot. -Sean When coaster nerd shots go extremely right.
  5. I was checking out some creative advertising pieces this morning looking for inspiration, and came across the image below.
  6. ^ It's just hi-def promotion renderings/footage of what the ride will look like when it's completed. -Sean

  9. The shot below of is of the Bay Bridge from the San Francisco side of the bay. I learned to shoot photography using b/w film about 10 years ago, and I've been revisiting some of my glory days here recently with the DSLR. Click the link for a larger 1680x1130 version that does the shot a bit more justice: http://sm2designs.com/screens/DSC00215.jpg The Bay Bridge AKA The James "Sunny Jim" Rolph Bridge: San Francisco, CA
  10. It shouldn't be a problem unless you're ultra tall. Harvest Coaster's trains look pretty similar to Kozmo's, and I've seen a ton of leggy adults ride without much folding needed. http://www.sm2designs.com/gallery/displayimage-21-23.html
  11. Mini Deuce Copper hanging out in Monterey, CA last weekend. Larger version here: http://twitpic.com/b7qkg/full
  12. Stunning photos as always. You also have my vote, and I just sent out a tweet with your link as well. Thanks for sharing! Tiny URL for anyone who wants to pass it around: http://tiny.cc/voteian Cheers, -Sean
  13. Meet Litha Park Duck, Aflack Duck's long lost cousin from Oregon. Larger version can be found here: http://twitpic.com/8dd7g/full Litha Park: Ashland, Oregon.
  14. Really nice composition on the swing shot chief. ^ I'm a sucker for black and white photography, so two thumbs up from me. (I learned how to shoot/develop/print on the stuff back in high school & college, so I have a soft spot for the medium. T-Max 100 for the win!) Anyways, thanks for sharing your work. -SM
  15. From a recent trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Larger Version Here: http://twitpic.com/86lle/full Sea Swings @ SCBB
  16. Yeah, unless she's already coaster nerd, don't take her on a date to a theme park right away! Best of luck on your visit to the Point chief! -Sean ..... I'm just kidding. I threw my fiancée Kelly head first into the coaster nerd pool about 5 years ago, and now she enjoys rides almost as much as I do. She just doesn't care who makes them.
  17. Is looking at booking a honeymoon cruise on the Oasis of the Seas in June of next year.
  18. That Tidal Force splash/Fahrenheit photo is awesome. Very cool perspective choice. Can't wait to get back to Hershey in 2010, a lot has changed since my last visit a few years back. -SM
  19. Congrats!!! But I must know if you had to store the ring in a fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo before you popped the question? Haha, unfortunately my locker was confiscated at the front gate when I entered the park. Security said they would keep the locker company though. Thanks, I had to share the news with all of my fellow coaster nerds. Hopefully I can get a few more photos up here shortly.
  20. Asked my girlfriend Kelly of almost 5 years, to marry me at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom today. PS..... lockers ......she said.........Yes! It was definitely a Six Flags (more FUN!) sort of day.
