Switching to NL for Mac.
AJClarke0912 replied to kumba830's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That's funny how the Mac version starts at 1.58 only. I think you should contact the NoLimits staff people. That's because the v1.6 update actually costs money because it was such a huge update. However, when you download it to Windows, it's already updated (so you don't have to pay 60 dollars to get the latest NL. More later, because I have to go like NOW, but still, it's kind-of jipped. -

Is "Improved Friction" checked? If not, your coasters will go faster. This was part of the NoLimits v1.6 update for Windows and Mac. -
Because to some people, it's just gross. Not all people, but some... Oh, and to answer the thread, I straight! ^Oh, I remember that scene! Haha I love it. Except the kissing is a little odd, but okay!

Do you ski or snowboard?
AJClarke0912 replied to Yankee cannonball's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yeah, skiing has definitely been catching on again. Especially since some other X-Games stars are skiers, and that some people are just accepting that they like skiing better (versus doing boarding 'cause it's cooler...which really doesn't make too much sense...but fads happen). -
Do you ski or snowboard?
AJClarke0912 replied to Yankee cannonball's topic in Random, Random, Random
I tried both, and I can say that skiing is more like riding a roller coaster or driving a race car and snowboarding is more like surfing down a big mountain. Both entertaining, but skiing wins me. Especially when [CAUTION: Nerd Alert!] you can try to re-create you favorite coaster company like a GCI millennium flyer ride or Mack bobsled! I also feel like I'm on Boulder Dash when I scream down The Burn (a glade) at Breckenridge. Trees and swooping turns at an ultra-steep angle (it is really steep, and quite scary) doesn't get more exciting! Airtime moments kick butt too! And you can't do that on a snowboard! (except for the air part) -

Ouch. Yeah, I kind-of avoid the spins haha. They can be too catastrophic. Instead, I either jump off the big "ramped" jumps (I have no idea what they are called) or fly over the big parabolic hills at perfect zero-G, where I am just barely lifted into the air! B&M hyper, right there! [/i] -

^Do a terrain park or jump a cliff...that gives you the best coaster experience EVER! ...at least on skis it does... -

^^You live an hour away?!?! LUCKY! Vail is amazing, especially skiing in the Blue Sky Basin area in the double-black glades. Pure heaven. God, can't wait for Breckenridge/others again this spring 2010! The snow and weather last time was just gorgeous! -

The restraints were open on the Euro-Fighter?! Why? Do they just not put down the restraints for empty seats or what? -

Haha, same colors and name as one of my old CoasterSims coasters. Inspired by it? Not that it's design was any good either... -

^Ha, double-diamonds are NOTHING in the East. I've been to Eastern resorts (West Virginia, Indiana, some of northeast) and Western resorts (A-Basin, Breck, Steamboat, Copper, Keystone, etc). I did a double-diamond @ Perfect North Slopes resort in the East and it took me 10 seconds. Everybody thought I was amazing, but really, the trees are 20 feet apart and the slope was about 20°. Out West, man! Our family goes out west twice a year. We go to Breckenridge every spring and go to random resorts in the summer (Durango/Purgatory last time). I LOVE skiing the double-diamonds and E.X. trails. Not MUCH of a terrain park person, but I love leaping off of the huge jumps. Just like a B&M hyper!!! My favorite trail is Lake Chutes at Breckenridge. You have to hike even more from North America's highest chairlift to one of the highest mountains ON the continental divide, at 13,000 ft. SPECTACULAR VIEW. Then, I go down the Lake Chutes, which have little cliffies!!! Very fun. I also like The Burn, which is a SUPER steep glade that was caused by a natural forest-fire. Wild GCI moments in there! _____________ Places Been: East: Perfect North Slopes, Paoli Peaks, Winterplace West: Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Keystone, Purgatory, Copper Mountain, Steamboat, Vail And as other people can see, lots of coaster fans are skiers/boarders because it is just like a big roller coaster that YOU control! *As you can see, I'm a BIG skier, and I live in KENTUCKY! Hello! **Shute, with all of these skiers here, I might as well bring my own camera to Breck and make a trip report! -
Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
AJClarke0912 replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Good: - Montu (obviously) - Kumba (surprised nobody thought so) - Evel Knieval (the three mini bunny hills are insane!) - The Boss (rages on into the back of the park and slams a double helix) - Chang - River King Mine Ride (as awful of a ride it is, the ending IS a surprise) Bad: - SheiKra (well, it's due to the fact that the ride has to have safe G's if there was NO water in the water brake, so the ending "has" to be slow and lame) - Ninja @ SF: STL (it's PAINFUL and poorly shaped!) - Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain. -
Please do not take the following as harsh. I am a nice person, and never want to hurt somebody's feelings! I read this thread all of the way through. And, not knowing the ending (and not wanting to spoil it, it was like a good book lol!), I almost knew that Jack's opinion would win out in the future. Sure enough, 33 pages later, it did. The guy may have a little sting in his posts, but that is because he KNOWS what he is doing and only wants to HELP you out. Sometimes, the only way to get somebody's attention even more is to say it louder and stronger. You could tell that he wanted you to keep it going strong, and not down on your model. So, for anybody else out there wanting to do something like this: If Jack says something in your new model thread that sounds like a big critique that is unneeded, rude, and silly, look again. It can mean the success or failure of a wonderful idea (hence this case). _ Just my opinion. I am in NO way trying to be rude. If you know me personally, I am always someone trying to handle things as lightly as possible (that's why lots of new NoLimits people head to me for answers, despite the fact that I am not really the best [only some Newton experience]. It is merely because I give them the big points, as nicely as possible, unlike some others unfortunately). So, although I have checked my post as always for anything that might sound rude, if I missed something, DON'T TAKE IT HARSH!! *Oh, and sorry for the über post! I tend to do that, sorry! **Oh, and I am SO sorry for bringing back this dead topic! I really didn't watch what I was doing, and I GREATLY apologize. This topic must be almost a year old. Terribly sorry, please excuse my mistakes!

The Sunset Resort [RCT2]
AJClarke0912 replied to rctfan123's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Wow, I just went through all 28 pages! WHEW! Awesome on EVERYTHING though! This is the best RCT2 park ever! I wish I had the time for all of this, as I am really good at RCT2. _ Speaking of me and RCT2, I may post a download for one of my parks. Since I lost my expansion packs, and my computer crashed recently, I have been building "standard" RCT2 parks for a while now. Although they are not up to date on scenery, they are really impressive. I have an Intamin Giga named "Glibulga" that has a 10.05 excitement rating. I'm TRYING to get to extreme excitement, so does anybody know the limit in which that is reached? ***Anyway, seeking help on my question, then back to topic! *** -
CARS! The Car Super Thread
AJClarke0912 replied to Jordan Shankman's topic in Random, Random, Random
Koenigsegg CCXR pictures! I LOVE racing this car on Forza! I already bought 2! It drives like a dream too... It's been rumored that it can top over the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 in top speed, but Bugatti takes the cake since it's actually been recorded at a higher speed (3 mph faster than the Koenigsegg CCR). However, with the CCGT, CCXR, and newer, lighter, more powerful models, Koenigsegg should be faster. The reason: the Bugatti may have a bigger engine (V16 vs. CCXR's V12) but it is also WAY heavier. Also, the Koenigseggs probably have better (or same) acceleration and better handling/braking. So, I definitely go for Koenigsegg on that debate, but maybe just because it is my most favorite car ever!!! -
WOW! I love it! Thank you thank you! Your work is amazing. I'm sure that the people on NLBench will rave well about it! Thanks again!
-
Hey! Your designs are REMARKABLE! I really want a signature for the NLBench site, so the dimension ratio should be 400 x 100, if you would very please! Now, onto the good stuff: name: AJClarke0912 (won't be too hard, it's 400 x 100) coaster: SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa I really want this to be cool - having a crazy background and letters with SheiKra stuff all over it. And, of course, it's wonderful drop... So, I'd be WAY more than happy if this happens...thank you in advance... *Man, so excited!

GT: AJClarke0912 Love playing Forza 2, Halo 3, COD4, Far Cry 2. If you add me, don't expect me on for a little while since my Xbox is jizzed up but after this month I think you'll find me on there a good bit (Halo 3: ODST, Forza 3, COD: MW2).
