Tranan's concept looks interesting with the ride vehicles but is it any good?

This rumor probably is wishful thinking on someone's part. I know the Astro Orbiter has been a problem in its current location kind of blocking/clogging the entrance to Tomorrowland. Moving that would not be out of the question. I can't see them removing Autopia for a Land Speeder ride unless they just re-skin the cars and add some theming. They should just use the old People mover Track for the ride.

I think a definition of home park is needed. In Fresno there is Rotary Storyland & Playland that has a small Molina & Son's roller coaster. Not my favorite park but probably was when I was a little kid 40+ years ago. If we are talking major parks then CGA is the closest and still not a favorite of mine.

Now that the 2013 coaster season is drawing to a close, which do you think were the successful installations and which were a bust? I think Flying Turns finally opening was a highlight after all these years. Not a over the top thrill ride but a good solid family ride. Should be a big hit for a while. On the bust side, Hades 360. What is there to say but pass the aspirin!

Still not proof that it derailed but something significant did happen it appears. No loss in my opinion for the rest of the season.

A lot of thought has gone into how they would construct that coaster in such a tight space. Glad to see it going vertical.

I don't think it would fly at all. Disregarding the fact that the building codes would probably prevent a large project like this from being built in the Tahoe basin in the first place. People go to Tahoe to gamble or enjoy the lake during the Summer. Sense most of the people visiting Tahoe are from the bay area, they have a few choices on theme parks without driving all the way to Tahoe.

LOL yeah, because, *surprise surprise* you obviously know more about running security at a theme park than Disney. This is all old news, move on!

I understand but find it interesting that the weather being too good can effect attendance. I guess I'm hoping for really good weather when TPR visits next year!

Unless you are at Disney or Universal I have found that the times aren't very accurate. I have been to a lot of parks where the wait times are way off what is posted at the entrance.

After riding 63 miles yesterday with over 6,000 feet of climbing, I'm a little tired today.

It is Helix for me. Probably because I will get a chance to ride it next year. The list of new coasters this year is pretty thin and I don't see a lot to get excited about.

Back in 2005 it was 70+ credits. Look to be about the same for 2014. TPR trips are great for getting new credits!
