Give it a year or two and SDC will have a GCI woodie .. the Herschends are thrilled with the work from GCI and S&S .. so I can bet you'll see each company providing a new ride to DW and SDC in the near future.

Hmm well I prefer Disney because a) Flights are much cheaper to Florida than Buffalo/Toronto area b) Disney does most things right c) The all-around experience, kids seem to be happier at Disney than a Six Flags park d) Better value for my money, not only does Orlando have Disney, but Universal and others are closer and along with Disneyland, KBF and others are within a few miles/hour drive.

They damaged Excalibur when they removed it from Astroworld .. but they still sent it to Frontier City to be rebuilt at some point. From what I've heard Inter-Mountain lift and S&S are looking into replacing sections, since Inter-Mountain lift did the original fabrication on the track.

SFDL or SFNO ... but if they have their way SFMM is it .. just to take the "record" back from CP

AFI's list is much better .. I guess coming from more people in the industry than just 2 to 3.

Yeah I've seen good deals from Sydney to just about everywhere in Australia for cheap on Qantas and Virgin Blue ... if we come down, we would prolly fly into Auckland first, then Sydney and hit it from there.

Shockwave at SFOT Sunday

Touchy subjects. I'll throw in my two cents, along Robb's lines. We aren't rich .. far from it. But we are good at getting deals. Sure we are stayting at a more expensive hotel for Cedar Point coming up, where we could of gotten a room for $41/night, instead we went for the "budget" hotel of CP resorts, with perks (mainly parking). Yeah it's more than we wanted to spend, as the other nights we are staying at a Comfort Inn and Quality for $49/night. We saved so much money with season passes, we were able to add 2 more parks onto our already crazy schedule. When we go to WDW, sure we would stay at All-Star or even a resort like the Grand Floridian. But if we went with the high end resorts, we'd be sure to bing more people with us as we did in 2001. We stayed 7 nights at Grand Floridian, but ended up only paying the cost of 1 night each just about. Same with Vegas .. staying at Luxor, but we found deals online for $50/night .. so we came out ahead and allowed us to spend the extra money on a trip to SLC for Preservation Con.

Out of the ones I've been to: - PKI - PCW - PCanada - Star Trek I didn't ride ANYTHING at Canada's Wonderland, so I can't say for rides, but the last time I was there was in 1994. My vote goes to PKI for pretty much everything, although Carowinds has Top Gun and the old PKI Flyers, some points there

Ok so .. got off work this morning, we decided to hit SFOT. Got to the park around 11:30am .. wasn't too crowded, but more than a normal Sunday, mainly cause of the Baseball game and being interleague play going on. So we get in .. hit Runaway Mountain first. Sam was freaked out after riding an outdoor version .. he kept ducking .. it was funny. The line wasn't long at all .. it was a walk on. After that .. was Freeze. 1 train wait, good operations going. After that Shockwave. 1 train op .. 2 train wait. After that we decided that it was way too damn hot. I could feel the heat seaping through my shoes from the pavement. Yesterday was our first day above 99 and today its supposed to get around 102 ... now I don't mind heat, but with the humidty, it sucks. We cooled down in an office, my old one actually talking with some friends and then we left .. I got food and now am muching down on it. No photos sadly .. it was way to hot to even touch my camera bag. The park does look very good however. Theres alot of new paint on buildings and such. The Mexico Section finally got a new gazebo on the old platform and SpongeBob has more signage and themeing now. Slowly having faith return, it's good that they are getting back to enhancements rather than the next best new ride that won't work.

Don't forget The Simpsons vist to Mt. Splashmore, Itchy & Scratchy Land and when they went to Florida and the alernate Disney, then Homer sneaked into the Magic Kingdom ... "One Churro please!" "Ok, that'll be $13" "D'OH!"

Isn't everything in CA? Well, not exactly. 10 things better in California than in Orlando: 10) Mountains 9) Deserts eight...damn smiley) Beaches 7) Climate (well, depending..) 6) Scenery 5) Politics 4) Culture 3) Woodies 2) Rock & Roll 1) Robb and Elissa are in CA Orlando's a nice place to visit, but face it, without half a dozen theme parks, it would still be someplace no one would want to go to... Eh two things Florida has over it all: 1) Islands of Adventure 2) DANIA BEACH HURRICANE ! !

Drachen Fire was a decent ride, although heard it got even worse .. Wish I had the chance to ride before the removed the first corkscrew however .. I rode the new "nuetered" version .. still a decent ride, just not top 10

June 2nd .. I get to ride .. hopefully. I'm still mad at them for gettting rid of the flyers when theres an open pad right near it where the Flight Commander used to be .. stupid PKI. But yes, Jeff is a great guy and does wonderful things with the media and for the park. They are lucky to have someone like him there.

Hmm looks fun .. although I hope they get the rest of the area completed soon. I like how the trains water splash element has the fins with pipes on them .. I don't want to get wet, but think the water splash is a cool idea that is being lost on most rides today.

Yeah but driving makes it more fun .. although I get tired after about 4 hours

Not sure why SF buys from ProSlide .. the Tornados are fun .. but NBGS creates much better rides .. Disney finally saw this with the new Master Blaster and so did CP with their indoor Master Blaster.

This could be promising ... hmm what's airfare to Sydney like right now *looking*

Not a Master Blaster, it's ProSlides new version of them .. I believe some sections use conveyor belts .. or that maybe the White Water West version I'm thinking of.
