I'm guessing you're referring to Scary Farm's opening day. If that's the case, the 24th is a Thursday, you'll definitely be able to bang through everything offered. Just make sure you get to The Hanging at least 10 minutes before it starts unless you want to watch it by from the log ride area. Fun fact, I'll most likely be there that night, too!

^ That's because DLP is a toilet. It's pretty and has some great rides, but it's run worse than a slumlord's block in skid row. -
^^ If they run it like Fiesta Texas does, capacity will not be an issue. It may look like low output but it's a quick in-and-out in the station. Remember it's only four seats for one ride op to check per train. It's not a puke machine in the slightest, regardless of what the videos may have you believe. I rode it a bunch when I visited SFFT earlier this year and not once did I feel disoriented or nauseous. Terrified, yeah. Completely out of control, yeah. Never anything bad, though. The 4D Free Fly is nothing like the original 4D coasters other than the fact that you're on the outside of the track and it happens to spin. They're both fun rides but they're totally different beasts. The Free Fly is much friendlier (READ - your head stays on your body) and completely unpredictable. Remember the magnetic fins only influence spin, they don't guarantee that you'll flip a certain direction at a certain point because trust me, you won't. The orignal 4D gives the same ride each time since the spin is 100% controlled.

The "other" ride will be a Triotech shooter. Voyage To The Iron Erie Reef. Instead of mechanical sea creatures you have to go up against trash and dead bodies. -
Easily. I did it last year with no trouble. I went on a Thursday, which definitely helped! I didn't bother with the Boo-fet, either. I was at the gates 5 minutes prior to opening, got inside, grabbed a Special Ops ticket, then went straight to the four haunts behind Ghost Rider. AKA the southeast corner of the park. I did two trips through all of the haunts there and then worked my way through the rest of the park going counter-clockwise. My longest wait was 30-45 minutes for Forevermore and I'm pretty sure that's only because I caught it at a shift change. The line was dead in the water for quite a while but when it got moving, it moved well. Just don't go on a Friday or Saturday and expect the same luck.

Coaster Credit

I don't know much, but I know Transdemonium at Parc Asterix is most definitely a credit. Isn't that right, Robb? [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] -
Voodoo returns even bigger and better this year! Voodoo - Order Of The Serpent is even longer and has a new finale! I loved this haunt last year but my complaint was that it was much too short. It was extremely detailed and the idea of choosing your own path through it was excellent, but it still took less than a minute to walk through. Bringing this back as a longer maze complete with a Skeleton Key room is AWESOME!!!! https://www.knotts.com/scaryfarm/ride/VOODOO/cat/Mazes [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

Black Magic is returning this year with a bunch of new scares! The seance room, which was Skeleton Key last year, has some new features seems to now be a part of the regular haunt! There's no mention of Skeleton Key being in use on this one this year. There's also a new Knife Cabinet hall. https://www.knotts.com/scaryfarm/ride/Black-Magic/cat/Mazes

According to the Scary Farm Facebook page, Forevermore is returning this year with new room designs and a new Skeleton Key room. This is a mixed bag for me. Last year I loved everything except Forevermore, but I'm pretty sure that's because of the employees. See, I loved the design of the maze. It was huge, absolutely huge. The designs of the rooms were great and had amazing attention to detail for the stories of Poe. Unfortunately all of the good was crushed by the complete lack of caring by the actors and employees. The queue line crawled because the sorter was spending more time staring at her phone and ordering McDonalds from a coworker than actually sending people through the maze. The actors and employees inside the haunt certainly didn't help. Multiple times the group I was in entered a room and I witnessed actors putting phones into their pockets and pretending to shamble around since they weren't even close to being ready for a scare. I also ran into more than a few dead ends and even entered an employees only area by accident because nobody was paying attention to where people were in the haunt. I really hope they do better this year because I feel the haunt has huge potential to be one of my favorites!

Lagoon Discussion Thread
KBrylczyk replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Just go and have a hell of a time. Lagoon is fantastic and there shouldn't be crowds when you visit. I'm not sure when school goes back in that area, so don't quote me on that, haha. When I visited at the end of July the only line was for Cannibal and it was a 30-45 minutes all day. Everything else was a walk on, flats and coasters included. Make sure you do everything, and I mean everything. Well, aside from the super small kiddy rides, haha. There's really not a bad ride at the park unless you consider the cookie-cutter Wild Mouse a bad ride. Aside from the rides also check out all the smaller corners of the park like Pioneer Village, as well. Also make note that the log flume and rapids ride are tucked away and hidden in the back corner of the park. Have fun! -
