  1. I mean, aside from the vest restraints comment (I love them), I do feel like a Wacky Worm provides a more intense ride than 90% of all B&Ms built in the last decade. Mostly because I don't trust the structure to remain intact.
  2. ^ Just give up now. There is no saving that trip unless you go somewhere else. Trust me
  3. My first ever Bobkart was at Nagashima Spa Land this past summer and it was way more fun than it had any right to be. Can't wait to check this one out when I get to Europe again!
  4. ^ That...that doesn't go upside down. That's wrong. That's very, very wrong. ...and yet oh, so right.
  5. Do you work for RMC's element-naming team?
  6. Everyone else has answered you well enough, I just have some advice for you elsewhere - Ride Mystery Castle as much as you can. Don't read about it, don't spoil anything, just ride it. A lot.
  7. I'm always astounded by the amount of hate towards Green Lantern. It's a solid ride with a very unique layout. Sure, it may have some jolts here and there, but remember the ride is pretty old and has been maintained by Six Flags this whole time (that should give you an idea of maintenance budget). I enjoy it just like I enjoy Riddler's and Mantis (RIP). Sure, giving it new, sit down trains would improve the ride, I'm not debating that. I just don't get how much hate there is towards it.
  8. Hell, I'd give them the cost of my cross-country airfare if it meant getting this thing built ASAP!
  9. Facebook - Contributor Twitter - Responder, sometimes contributor Instagram - I honestly still have no idea how this horrible, horrible thing works. Youtube - Contributor.
  10. Wildcat is a golden god. You hush your mouth. Hurler, on the other hand, has seen better days.
  11. ^ No worries, thanks for the info!
  12. I'm still not sure if I should blame the absolutely atrocious SFMM operations for that ride rarely ever dueling or RMC for designing a terrible sensor system for the lift hills. Controls were done in house by Six Flags. You know what? They're making this too easy for me. I'm not even gonna try with this one.

  14. Any chance of maybe someone new picking up the torch so this can continue? If so I'd volunteer.
  15. I worked on Supes at SFGAdv during the opening year. When the train lifts into position you can distinctly hear a whirring noise. That's the locking pins moving into place to hold the seats in the prone position. Evac was simply a manual release of those pins. We had a stick with a socket on the end of it. Each row had an access hole that you stuck the tool into and unscrewed. The seats would then slowly lower to a regular seated position and we would then release the restraints.
  16. ^ Ah, MGM Grand Adventures. I wish it still existed rather than the new driving range they're building.
  17. ^ What are you talking about? Vekoma's Stingray concept was a huge seller! Aquatrax even more so!
  18. I'm genuinely curious. It'll have been six, SIX, years since the exact same attraction opened in Orlando. Five years since the final Harry Potter movie released. I don't know, I get the feeling that the American audience is well past the Harry Potter craze. I could be completely wrong, of course, and it could be a huge hit. I just feel like the IP isn't going to pull nearly the numbers Orlando did back in 2010. Even Diagon Alley opened to an overall "meh" reaction. It was busy for a week or so at opening but attendance didn't see a large difference* because of it. *Please someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.
  19. We'll know for sure within the next week. IAAPA starts tomorrow and IIRC, RMC will be announcing the first installation there.
  20. ^ You mean the water coming off of the "crest" on the side opposite the drop-in? You never know it's there when you're on the ride. There's far too much chaos erupting around you to notice that dribble of water from above. It's not a waterfall by any means.
  21. Good lord. Turkey wants to come into the market with a bang, that's for sure! I mean, even if they're taking the Magic Mountain approach with kiddies, haha.
  22. Yeah, next Wednesday and Thursday, not this Wednesday and Thursday. 18th and 19th. Believe me, I've checked, double checked, and checked again on opening dates. Had a fright yesterday when I read December 1st in reference to Orlando, haha.
