  1. Pretty big accident on Lights Motor Action on July 1st, apparently. Got this from Screamscape - Photo - Video - Luckily nobody was hurt. Still, I wouldn't expect the show to be operating for the forseeable future.
  2. Seeing as they're looking for new ideas and they pop into this forum from time to time, I'd like to share my brilliant idea that came to me while waiting for the Wildfire at Kolmarden announcement. Source page - http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1427268#p1427268 Of course, Skyline, replace any and all usage of "Intamin" and "RMC" with "Skyline Attractions" and you're good to go.
  3. Philadelphia is 80 miles away from Six Flags. No, you can't. Not even on the clearest day.
  4. Soooooooo are they hiring or are they just asking people to send in their pie-in-the-sky ideas? Because either way I like that they're openly asking for extra help to keep the industry moving forward. All in all, awesome news! Can't wait to hear about the first project!
  5. I gotta get to Rome again, maybe next year. Check this place out and see how Rainbow Magicland is doing, like have they installed trees?
  6. Doesn't Six Flags remember what happened the last time they tried to leave this continent? Long story short, it didn't work out well. At all.
  7. ^ Oh god that made me NEVER want to visit Theme Park Maniacs. And that was just the first 10 seconds.
  8. ^ Judging by the speed it went over the hill in the sandbag video I have a feeling that there will be a LOT of incompletions once you get some hefty riders. I mean, this is in Kansas, not exactly known for their healthy eating habits.
  9. Tickets bought for Sunday at Magic Mountain! Here's hoping I come away from the park this time with happy memories unlike last time when I just wanted to burn it to the ground.
  10. Most likely going for Magic Mountain, just waiting to hear back from the girlfriend if she's in or not. Fair warning, that'll be a day where I'll most likely be a zombie. I'd be working until 3am the night prior and then driving 4 hours to LA with a little bit of in-car sleep. I'll make sure to take a shower before hitting the road, though, haha.
  11. Not sure if you're being sarcastic or if you don't know Cedar Fair owns the park...
  12. ^ So, so right. It also gives you a free back massage!
  13. ^ I survived Twin Peaks. So did Ken and Nolan (albeit with some scrapes and bruises).
  14. Thanks for picking up on it. Reading my post back I can see how it would go over some heads. I was mostly joking, but I'm still pretty disappointed with how incredibly slow it crawls through the hill. Edit - Also, "taer it down" (spelled that way for a reason) I was hoping would be the tip-off to the veterans of this site.
  15. Boooooooo! Hisssssss!!!! They neutered the crap out of this ride before anyone has even ridden it. That's just sad. More than half of the drop has brakes. TAER IT DOWN!!!!!
  16. Completely off topic, but I just watched Beverly Hills Cop 3 again the other day and completely forgot about this awesome cameo - [vine] [/vine] For those who don't know, Wonder World was actually Great America (aside from Alien Attack, which was Earthquake at Universal Hollywood). The Sky Whirl sequence that the George Lucas cameo starts has some of the best stunt work I've ever seen. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] This is a heavily edited video, obviously, but the entire sequence was a mix of actual stunt work crossed with shots done in a studio. The guy jumping from car to car? That actually happened.
  17. Sooooooooooo it's been over a month and a half since the Disneyland visit and I never actually got around to posting my trip report. Life got a bit hectic (new job, etc) and it slipped my mind. Sooooo, that being said, screw the trip report! Here's a Vine and Photo dump from that day! Enjoy! Also, make sure you enable sound for the Vines. Olaf! [vine]https://vine.co/v/M6rVDmBX7vt[/vine] Snow White madness! [vine]https://vine.co/v/M66ztEuEK3x[/vine] The girlfriend actually got scared by the witch- [vine] [/vine] Baby Tarzan be all like [vine]https://vine.co/v/M6gWArnelpT[/vine] THROUGH THE FIREPLACE WITH MR TOAD!!!!! [vine] [/vine] When I got to work (old job) the next day they were playing Let It Go in the back hallway - [vine]https://vine.co/v/MHuntnXeD2l[/vine] On to the photos! Teeny tiny castle. Creepy themeing stuffs Just a tad bit crowded at 10:04am. The line to meet Anna and Elsa was over 300 minutes already. Wrapped all the way around past Big Thunder. DUN DUN DUNDUNDUN! DUDUDUDUDUDUDU DUNDUNDUN! (That's supposed to be the Iron Man guitar riff, btw) Pretty refurbed themeing at Big Thunder! It was looking gorgeous. Rocks n bones! Two hour line for the commoners. The wonderful hidden single rider line made it a 5 minute wait, however. IT'S GON' EAT ME! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Bow chicka bow wow NO!!!!! I knew it was going to be closed anyway, but dammit! It's my favorite ride of all time! THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!! Only running one side, the slower side. Still tons of fun, though! Scared yet? Ghost horse! Beautiful sunset
  18. Your priorities frighten me, bud, hahaha.
  19. Glad to hear it wasn't anything extremely damaging!
  20. Uh, say what? Well, by 2017 crowds should die down enough for me to be able to actually enjoy a visit, though I want to hop a flight next month.
