Themeparks in Sandsculptures

I just like the Looney Tunes design in a competition clearly sponsored by Disney. Neat stuff though. -

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH that makes you like one of only three places (if all of Disney counts as one) that serves Dole Whip. You were my hero before for what you have done with the park, but this actually elevates nerdom to new levels. My master. -

DUUUUUDE THEY RIPPED OFF A INTERPARK -
Rain does suck, its supposed to be thundering on Saturday in Virginia when I'm running my first marathon ever (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Does anyone have tips for running that far in hot weather? I'm plenty prepared, but all my training has been in the 20-40 degree range; it's supposed to be in the 60's for my entire run and get up to 80 later that day. Oh, and for those who are wondering, it's the Instant Classic Trail Marathon in Chesterfield, VA. Pretty small, about 100 runners, and all on trail. I'm kinda super excited.

Helped raise $89 among six people in my committee for Model United Nations today, which resulted in over $2,000 raised in a two-day conference! -
Of note is that none of the members of the Board of Directors have any diplomatic background or related degrees (CLICKY). The staff is primarily businessmen and filmmakers. A few thoughts considering I've already thrown myself into the flames: I believe those involved have good consciences and do believe in their cause. I believe that they are not even slightly versed well enough in international relations considering the depth of their involvement and time committed, which tells a lot about them. I believe that their answer is not the right answer, which is unfortunate because they have made a great film with a good intentions. Ostracizing and spewing bad recommendations to the youth population sure as hell isn't going to help our government start functioning well or the International Criminal Court bring Kody to justice any sooner. This is simply what I believe (note emphasis), take it or leave it. EDIT: Read this, it frames my mindset and the mindset of diplomatically conscious people darn well: http://globalspin.blogs.time.com/2012/03/08/why-you-should-feel-awkward-about-the-kony2012-video/

That one pic of the Boardwalk at dusk a ways up = WOW. Your attention to detail is fun, too, it indulges me in between trips to Orlando. -
Off topic, but seeing the number of post-modern lovers around here I thought I would recommend a hilarious book, From Bahaus to Our House by Tom Wolfe. Really great scathing commentary on the entire movement, got some solid lol's put of it.

I kinda love it. The multiple lifts feels a bit strange but it's a great twist on the Steel Phantom/Drachen Fire era. -

Holy Wardley. This is a ridiculous layout. Totally NOT the normal short-ass Eurofighter. Sweet. -

I've always clicked with the quirks of Charles Moore.

I'm glad you changed the low curves, they seemed to be too tight given the speed needed to complete the elements before and after. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the 270 degree turn after the redesigned overbank. The hop up at the very end kind of ruins the curve of it and makes it look like a flat turnaround, something very un-B&M. Rather than this looks great!

Google's Satellite Maps...
Coaster Cow replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is new, Blackpool just did a street view tour of the park. For anyone who hasn't been there it provides a great idea of the atmosphere: http://g.co/maps/5rwbg Disney one upped this a while back, did a whole 3D representation on Google Earth as well. -
Flat Ride Design (with video)

I just watched it at 1080 fullscreen, and My favorite part has to be how the arms kind of interlock with the others as they spin, it must create GREAT visuals seeing the near misses in a POV. -

Spongebob is God. And the RCT is nice, too. You pulled off the NCS invert supports quite well, I applaud you. -
Indian Point Ballpark [RCT2]
Coaster Cow replied to RCT2day's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Do you plan on submitting this to NE? I know people grumble when others ask that but I think this is accolade-quality, even with NCSO. That big empty space doesn't necessarily need to be filled. Show what you can do with foliage, but keep it lowlying and manicured. As far as what city to use, I just would suggest not using New Orleans; you would need to really imply a different cultural aspect that wouldn't be very easy to do. Any other of the East Coast options would work fine, the Shrimp Shack makes me think Florida, as Virginia is more crab and shellfish oriented.
