  1. It wouldn't be the first time an inversion was put on a water slide. Not that an inversion should ever be put on one again. The looping water slide I read about was pretty much a death trap.
  2. Ok, I can see where you were going with that. Though a kiddy coaster would be carrying children, which is a good reason for restraints. On topic though, this ride looks awesome. Too bad I don't see myself heading back to SFKK anytime soon.
  3. A few tweaks in photosop and it would look like that man is ripping the kids clothes off.
  4. You haven't ridden any of the other water coasters, or any large raft ride for that matter have you? If you get out of the tube you're still in the slide itself. You'd have to try really hard to actually get out of the slide. And it would half to be on purpose. And in that case it'd just be human stupidity. Water slides are all an "at your own risk" attraction. There are plenty of ways to get hurt or injured if you don't follow the rules, or can't control yourself. You just don't hear about incidents because they're not as spectacular as say a train derailing on a roller coaster.
  5. ^ It's hit or miss. Cedar Point is always flaky on their rules. But typically no loose articles are allowed in any line. So bags, purses, loose articles all have to be placed in a locker. If you have a camera, etc you have to be able to put it in a cargo pocket or zippered pocket. They even made me get a locker once for my camera case that was physically attached to my belt. Basically as far as Cedar Point goes you can't have anything in your hands in any line other then like the train. It's really a pain in the ass.
  6. Rare was bought by Microsoft. So it's probably not up to them to decide on developing for a competing console.
  7. That would explain bombing the Chinese embassy, and bombing Bulgaria during the Kosovo conflict.
  8. Oh of course. With your $20 discounted admission ticket you get to stay in Cinderella's castle.
  9. ^ Storm Runner is also less then half the size of Ka. It's still gotta be going fast enough to make a heatline roll difficult.
  10. Maybe not enough attention was paid to alphabetical bias.
  11. GTA4 is launching on the Xbox360 as well, with an extra two epsiodes downloadable via xbox live. Sony dropped the ball letting that one get away.
  12. Sony is getting whipped everywhere. Their arrogance will be their downfall.
  13. Yes, I realize that there is more then Mario. Just like Xbox has more then Halo. And I didn't mean that a single game was going to win the console war. I just pointed out that single games can and do drive console sales. A game like Halo can sell consoles and make the system successful without "winning the console war". MS can't come out on top anyways because they have little market share in Japan. But I can assure you that Halo3 will sell alot of copies, and with it alot of consoles.
  14. Actually a single game can make a console. Halo/Halo2 made Xbox successful. You might not like the games, but they were franchise games that drove console sales. Just like Mario sells Nintendo, Halo will sell Xbox.
  15. It's like a car accident. You just can't help but slow down and turn your head trying to catch a gimpse of the damage.
  16. I'd guess more due to them being one trick ponies. And for the most part, the one's that aren't one trick ponies are much less intense.
  17. Paramount was just as guilty for that actually. Canadas Wonderland is the highest attended seasonal park and yet that only gets them a few flat rides, and only 2 roller coasters in a decade. Supply and demand doesn't always go hand in hand with profit.
  18. Cedar Fair has only one major asset in Cedar Point. The rest of the parks are red headed step childs. CF has always been a one park chain + filler, I don't really see anything changing with the addition of Paramount.
  19. That's going by units sold. If you go by revenue it's much closer to even due to the Wii costing half of what PS3 or Xbox360 does. There's always more then one way to spin these "console wars".
  20. It's probably just as likely that Cedar Fair had planned on removing X-Flight the whole time. They could have had plans to move it to MIA, but then after buying Paramount decided to move it to PKI instead.
  21. Since when does the colour scheme affect the ride? Way to TOTALLY miss the point of the poll.
  22. I thought in the Paramount purchase they said that they had little to no development contracts to honour from Paramount? Moving X-Flight to PKI does not in any way keep the park from getting something new in the next couple years. Let's say CF is planning on building an Intamin hyper for PKI. Considering when they bought Paramount, and the time it takes to change ownership, you're still looking at 2 years until something is built. Major roller coasters are not built overnight. Any major expansion to the Paramount parks are a couple years off unless Paramount already put something into motion, which I understand they did not. Complain about X-Flight, fine. But if you're complaining about CF not building a major coaster for PKI this year that just doesn't make any sense.
  23. Actually my point had nothing to do with X-flight. Obviously relocating a coaster takes much less time then designing a new one. Just pointing out that complaining that Cedar Fair isn't building major attractions at any Paramount park is stupid.
  24. Valleyfair and Cedar Point though have both been in Cedar Fair's hands for a long time. Even if CF wanted to drop a big Intamin coaster into PKI they wouldn't have had time to plan it. They haven't even had control of Paramount for a year yet. Building a major Intamin coaster, or a GCI twister takes a few years to plan, develop, and build. Can't just drop one into a park like RCT.
  25. Water only makes the pain worse. Milk would be what to drink if you can't take the pain.
