  1. It's the same book except with a bit more at the end. Some extra new pictures, etc. Wether you buy it again is really up to you. But it's not a huge change, more just like an extra chapter.
  2. And the best thing about the XP power toy is that you can highligh the whole group of pictures and it'll do it all at once. There's also an advanced option to resize the original instead of making a copy. The MS paint method works, but would take forever if you have a good amount of pics.
  3. Well then assuming your system has proper ventilation(not covering up any exhuast ports), I'd say you might have a defective system. Might want to talk to customer service assuming it's still under warranty.
  4. Unforunatly it sounds like you have a detective system. Or at the very least a dirty/scratched disk. Is the system set up in a well ventilated area? If not it could be over heating?
  5. By "dissembling" we mean removing the up stop wheels, physically taking the train off the track, and carrying it back to the station area, where it is put back on the track.
  6. It depends on the ride, and where it stalls. Some have a series of cables/cranes to pull the train back, some have to remove the train entirely.
  7. I have both David Bennett and Rob Cokers books. (both mentioned earlier in the thread). Both are good reads, although I haven't looked at David Bennett's book in awhile as I got it quite a long time ago. Actually I've got two copies of Rob's book. Got a second copy for Christmas. My family thinking they had come up with the best gift were surprised to find out that I already had a signed copy, and that I actually knew the author.
  8. Hopefully those fake tires hold up better then the one's that used to be on Dragster.
  9. How long was the wait considering how little capacity the ride has?
  10. Interesting. Is it only the volcano? Because even then it wouldn't be finished. There'd still be that giant set of steel girders that was supposed to be a scale model of niagara falls.
  11. Sorry Robb I should be more clear. I'm using a 21" monitor at 1600x1200, so just about everything looks small. It's not a "it looks small on firefox" comment. That being said I would prefer to watch a video at full resolution instead of 320x240. But that's just my preference.
  12. The video works fine for me now in firefox. Though it's just too small for me to really watch. I prefer to download and see the larger size video. One suggestion Robb if you do keep this option is to include the direct link to the video on the same page as the streaming video. That way if the video doesn't work the user doesn't have to go anywhere else to find the link. I see alot of sites do this when they have streaming. Underneath the video they will have a "click here to download" or "click here if the video doesn't load" link.
  13. No it's from the Belgian site of Themeparkvision. Anyway, the article was on april 20 in the newspaper. Then scan the newspaper. Is it as badly written as this so called drawing is? The article would have been 20 days too late.
  14. By 2012 the rocket coaster fad will probably have past. And official maps are not drawn with crayon.
  15. I've always despised quick time streaming. Most of the time the window is so small that you can't even make out what is going on in the video.
  16. I guess the difference is that this streaming is being done directly in the browser. Where as the spain "streaming" was just a direct link to the video(instead of the usual zip file).
  17. I don't know, that video didn't really make me excited to go ride it. It will be a fun ride. But it just doesn't look like anything too intense or exciting. Plus the layout is pretty dull. And it didn't seem to go through that turnaround as fast as I hoped. Here's hoping it speeds up as it warms up.
  18. That was a pretty poorly written article. It basically just said "is the ride too dangerous?" and then quoting the stats of the ride. But didn't explain anywhere why this would be dangerous.
  19. Didn't work for me. But it's probably just my browser. My firefox install is pretty fubar'd, so not everything works for me as it should.
  20. Technically the "very cool" Steel Dragon 2000 is a very cool paperweight. It hasn't run in a couple years. Though there's some rumours about it re-opening soon going around.
  21. ^ The two weekends after labour day, and before halloweekends are great. I always go then. Weather is still nice and the park is empty. It's better to go before halloweekends start, as the park starts to fill up then.
  22. Highly doubt that what would occur?? There's like 4 or 5 options listed in this thread, which one are you talking about? Paramount parks is for sale, so someone is going to buy the parks.
  23. The one rumour I've seen is that Taft was going to buy the parks back. But take that with a grain of salt.
  24. ^^ Why don't you just tell him when he can go to the bathroom as well.
  25. Maybe they did it simply to torment us.
