  1. Shame about Galaxi. That had to be the best park Galaxi I've ridden. And I've ridden, well, very few. Like three. Somewhere, an enthusiast is holding his breath waiting for the height restrictions on Dragon Wagon to come out...
  2. ^Yeah, those are awesome. I can't help but try to think of, um, "alternate" meanings for some of them.
  3. Leftover shells-n-cheese. When it congeals in the fridge, the cheese likes to separate from some shells and glom onto others. That way you get to enjoy more of that plain pasta taste and texture mixed in with your cheese.
  4. Great reports, guys! I think I learned something new in each one.
  5. ^^Now it will look a little less "monstrous."
  6. ^Nooooo! I adore the early coaster names like the first three or so on your list. They're just so awkwardly naive and charming. Pretty sure I posted both High Frolics and Three-Way Figure Eight Roller Toboggan in the best names thread!
  7. "Roll Over Beethoven" - The Beatles Because I've had the Chuck Berry riff playing in my head ALL night and day.
  8. Awesome! I hope these take off. I agree with others that it would totally work as a shuttle if that's practical to adapt for the "real world." I wonder whether any parks will take them up on the potential to offer multiple levels of intensity. Adding to my last point, I was curious about this, too. Will it be easy to adjust the intensity on the fly, or is it a more involved process? Curious to learn the details at some point and how different parks would handle it.
  9. The campout sounds pretty darn fun, at least as a novelty. Assuming there are no age restrictions, it could make for a fun memory for kids. Not sure it's the kind of event I'll ever make it to myself, though.
  10. ^^I agree that the 49ers red could very well be "subtle or subconscious" as you said, and that this is more likely than it being a hint at a retheming and/or rebranding. I did like the former color scheme and felt it fit the coaster well, but I have no complaints about the change so far.
  11. Here's a new one in the "odd" category: Leap of the Liquor. No idea if that's really the intended translation from the Chinese 飞跃酒天, but it's not just a quick Google translate, since when I tried that, it came up with "Leap Wine Days." Okay, now that I see the park is named "Spiritsland," things make a bit more sense...I think?
  12. ^Thanks for the update. Hope they're still replacing it with a new coaster, and yes, it would be nice (though perhaps unlikely) if Tree Top Racers is relocated.
  13. The station does look church-like with the Gothic arches. I wonder if that will tie into the Banshee theming or if it's just to give it some visual appeal.
  14. Yeah, that's one awesome train. I see it's a Zierer, so that explains why it makes me think of Verbolten.
  15. That's a nice and striking shade of red. I'll have to get used to seeing it on Flight Deck, but I like it so far.
  16. ^^Bahahaha. No, really, I'm still laughing.
  17. I don't even fully understand what's depicted here, but it looks amazing.
  18. Then what manufacturer do you think --oh, wait.
  19. ^^I don't think much of SFMM anymore, but nonetheless, I agree. I know the shipping would be more of a financial hit to the museum, but the park has no obligation to help them out.
  20. "Gypsy Road" - Cinderella
  21. "Stranded in the Jungle" - New York Dolls So glad I discovered this album is out of print (WTF) so I could stop scouring the record stores and snag it on iTunes.
  22. I will agree that it's kind of a sad, if predictable, story. It was nice to hear a new rumor, but I think we can assume nothing will ever come of it.
  23. I, um, just whipped up a list of all the parks I've ever visited. All the letters of the alphabet are represented by the first initial of at least one park. Except for X. I've got little hope for X, sadly. All the X parks are abroad. Someone needs to open up an Xtreme Fun Park or something. (I remember once keeping a "coaster alphabet" as well--wonder if I've finally completed that?)
  24. What an adorable little coaster train. That actually looks like a fun place. Frolic reminds me of Heart Flip at Lakeside, except less romantic.
