  1. ^I'd be inclined to agree. I'd imagine if the park is fully aware of the situation, and is aware that it could happen during a given cycle, and runs the ride anyway, then it's probably fine. At any rate, I'm used to it on Yo-Yos.
  2. Here's a modest little overview of the park plus some odds and ends. Wisdom Orient Express double spiral - one climb, one down
  3. Counting Six Flags parks... Marine World Africa USA (original?) The New Marine World Theme Park Marine World Six Flags Marine World Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (current) I believe coasters didn't appear until after the first name change. I first visited the park as Marine World Africa USA. It has also been called Marine World and Marine World/Africa U.S.A. in a different location with no rides.
  4. That looks to be a scenic, well-themed park with a fun ride collection. I love a well-run Evolution, and Montezum is just beautiful. I would love to visit!
  5. I don't even think of seatbelts on Ferris wheels as a strange concept. In fact, I might even prefer to have them! I once rode a wheel with an optional strap...and used it.
  6. Traintown is a charming little kiddie park. I only rode the train as a child, but I now have the coaster credit and saw they have a couple family rides as well. I also enjoyed climbing around in the train cars, which are fun for all ages! I may be able to post a mini-TR in this thread, but I can't guarantee many train photos.
  7. Tonight is a great night to go howl at the moon! So I did.
  8. Wow, what exquisite theming! Maus au Chocolat looks hilarious. I must play!
  9. Same! And when I was in grade school I loved spreading roll-on glue underneath my desktop just so I could peel it off.
  10. I'd love to camp right by a coaster! The Beast backstage shots got me to thinking I might really like the ride. I'm glad the dino exhibit seems well-done, though I probably wouldn't spend much if any time on it myself. Thanks for posting!
  11. I absolutely love the Ocean City boardwalk! I would love to go back, browse the tacky shirts some more, get another mini-Bible from the sand sculptor, check out some dining establishments, and finally visit the amusement parks! Just thinking about that bridge makes me nervous for some reason...
  12. ^That train just might be my favorite thing about Revolution apart from the loop.
  13. I love the supports and the beautiful station! Looks like a fun coaster!
  14. I really like the braided appearance. Very attractive.
  15. ^It's still one of my top airtime moments too. It's amazing in rows 1 and 2, and even more so in the back.
  16. I rode Boardwalk Bullet late this April. Although I found it somewhat rough, I still rode it 15 times, many of them in a row. Apart from the major jolt, I didn't mind keeping my hands up the entire ride.
  17. I actually am the type to go for kiddie coasters as milestones, so I would go with Shamu Express! I rate Steel Eel more highly than Boardwalk Bullet, but they're both respectable rides which I was happy to re-ride and even marathon. Steel Eel didn't seem rough, but the ejector airtime can hurt a bit as you fly into the lapbar. Boardwalk Bullet is fairly rough. There is a jolt after the first drop, especially in the back, that I would strongly suggest bracing for. But the ride does have a great layout as you'd expect from TGG, and a bit of quality airtime early on.
  18. I was concerned about the restraints on Raging Bull prior to riding, but I ended up feeling secure. I always imagined I'd be apprehensive of the Diamondback and Behemoth seating configurations, but by now I probably won't mind them.
  19. Sounds like Zippin Pippin is a success! I would love to visit that charming little park. Looks like there are some cool photo ops in that museum. I know I would have fun with the leap wall!
  20. ^^That is a shame! Do you at least get to see the Hi Miler on occasion? I haven't seen any carny coaster in Oregon bigger than the Tiger Express, sadly. I've grown to really like Kamikazes and other rides with lots of hangtime, like the Fireball/Super Loops. Plus, there are decent views despite the cage. I need to check out the Orbiter next time I see it, as I love them!
  21. I'm not a fan of Wildcats, but I'd rather not miss this credit. As much as I have no problem with portable coasters, I agree that it seems a bit dated and out of place for this kind of park.
  22. I see your cake is quite the chick magnet!
  23. YES! Best birthday cake ever!
