  1. Mind Eraser, Joker's Jinx, and Two Face all in the same day! I'll never forget, I still have a crucial headache ps: (that was back when Joker had OTSR's)
  2. Bowie, Maryland: Largest city in Prince Georges County! right around the corner from Six Flags America (so close I can hear Joker's Jinx on a quiet day!!), 1 hour from Kings Dominion, 2 hours from Busch Gardens Europe, 3 hours from Hershey Park and Six Flags Great Adventure. I'm also 20 min from DC, 45 min from Baltimore, 2-3 hours from Ocean City, MD. Its a pretty awesome place to live if you dont mind 100*F summers and 20*F winters, plus digging your car out of 20 inches of snow from the blizzard we just had this past weekend!
  3. Hydra was fun, but after the inversion before the lift, it was kind of just "meh". Also Loch Ness Monster, it was a snoozefest. I disliked every boring second of it.
  4. This year I only went to SFA, HP, and DP... 1 Fahrenheit 2 Superman ROS 3 Talon 4 Great Bear 5 Wild One 6 Steel Force 7 Lightning Racer 8 Jokers Jinx 9 Hydra 10 Roar and Wildcat (tie)
  5. A few places not mentioned: The National Harbor is only a couple minutes outside of DC. Its very nice and one of the restaurants (Cadillac Ranch) has a mechanical bull. They have a bunch of other restaurants and shops as well. Chinatown/Gallery Place is fun, but very crowded. Chinese food here is awesome! And Gallery Place is a movie theater and a very very nice bowling alley. Pentagon City has a very nice shopping mall, if shopping is your kind of thing. The National Zoo is fun and relaxing. Plus its FREE!! Theres a lot more to do. You never run out of things in DC! You just need to know how to ride the metro (train) and you can do all of those things I listed. I recommend buying an All Day Pass on the metro. Its only $7 I think. With the monuments you listed, all of them are in the same area. Jefferson is a bit of a walk out of the way but I think its worth it. Traveling to the Jefferson by paddleboat is an option. I've never done it but it looks fun Hope I was of any help
  6. The same thing is happening this coming decade!! Thomas Town in 2010, and a big mystery coaster in 2011!! SFA has a horrible trend lol
  7. We figured out that you should never hop a fence that clearly says "RESTRICTED AREA.. DO NOT ENTER" or you might loose your head...
  8. ^When you did the Coaster Nerd examples I thought you were talking about me. LOL!! But wow, I don't even know what is being discussed right now. Well Fright Fest 2009 is one of, if not the BEST Fright Fest SFA has ever put on!!! Anyone have any thoughts about Fright Fest?
  9. The Baltimore Harbor is very nice. They have an aquarium and a nice mall, plus many other random tourist traps out there. Also while your in DC, you should visit the National Harbor. It should be very well built up by summer 2010! They already have numerous nightlife choices and its just all around a nice place for a quick 2 hour stop. Six Flags America is worth a stop if you have a season pass. Or if you do not have a season pass, stop by a local Burger King or McDonalds and pick up a discount coupon. I know it has a not so spectacular history, but SFA has really cleaned up its act! But in reality, nobody really knows how much longer this park will be here so I wouldn't pass up atleast a credit run.
  10. Yeah I agree they shouldn't have taken out the turnaround, but the ride is still great fun! I heard Fright Fest 09 is the best Fright Fest SFA has ever done! It includes THREE scare zones (compared to last year's zero scare zones, this is good!), Bridge of Terror haunt, and Paranormal Tours (haunted train), and the stunt show Claws Revenge is said to be the best stunt show the park has ever put on! I can't wait to get down to SFA next weekend and check it out myself. I'll take lots and lots of pics!
  11. Almost everytime they ran two trains this season, they used both sides of the station. WHOOOO!!! Fright Fest starts tomorrow!!! And for those who don't know, the Haunted Train is coming back!! Aswell as The Bridge of Terror!!! Well thats about it .... other than a bunch of shows. Even though we don't get as many haunted attractions as other parks, but I think this year's event is going to be great!!
  12. Yeah I agree that not too many kids visit SFA, but with Thomas Town, Looney Toons, and parts of Hurricane Harbor, the park should expect a lot more familes to come since there is a lot more to do now. I wouldn't say its a bummer though. I'm just glad we're finally getting some love! I also think Chang might end up at SFA only because the park is supposed to get a new STEEL coaster for 2011, Chang won't be built until 2011, the park has plenty of room, and they even had an approval from the state to build a Stand-up coaster since 2001 when Batwing was built. Maybe Chang could be SFA's Bizzaro!
  13. Cool! HOS looks great! I can't wait to try it out for the first time next month!
  14. That Illinois license plate basically screams out that Chang is going to SFGAm. Too bad. So many other parks could use Chang but they send it to a park that has plenty of coasters, and a Stand-up.
  15. SFA, BGE, and KD this month for all their Halloween events! I love this time of year!
  16. Steel Force- Dorney last month... going to BGE and SFA and maybe KD for Fright Fest, Howl-o-Scream and Haunt so this will change soon
  17. It seems like most parks "joke" about death in some way. I remember one year SFA had a dead headless body on Joker's Jinx fence right next to a sign that said "Warning: Danger Zone". I thought it was hilarious but my friends didn't lol. I wish I had a pic..
  18. What do you mean another coaster? SFA hasnt had a new coaster since Batwing in 2001. I wouldn't expect it for 2010, but maybe Chang could be SFA's mystery 2011 coaster. Only time will tell where this ends up. It might end up at a park nobody's talking about like SFoG or SFDK...
  19. Chang will be perfect for SFA! If they send it to SFGAm the question would be WHY. They already have a great line of coasters, why add Chang there when you can put it in a park that could use a new ride or two and has soooo much untouched land.
  20. Is it really that hard to spell out words? C'mon don't get on his case for word shortening. Nobody complains when people say BGE or BEC so why can't he says ppl. I think that removing BBW, I mean Big Bad Wolf (don't want Homeboy to get on me) is a bad idea especially if the park doesn't have any new ideas for the site yet. BBW was a great ride, thankfully I rode it twice already so I have the credit! Only time will tell whats coming soon.
  21. Cool TR! I never even knew MM had some of those rides, even though I've only been once and that was in 07 lol. And that joke about the bullet holes in the exit sign made me crack up laughing! Even though I work at SFA.
  22. If nobody screams then I think the ride isnt exciting. I dont scream because I am scared, its because its fun. Most of the time I scream when ithe coaster is: -going up the lift -going down any hills, even tiny ones -going through a quick turn -in a tunnel -and when the train is stacked on the break run LOL and its worse on inverted coasters because I like to kick my legs while screaming.
  23. If SFI were to sell SFA that would get a load of money, but would be a stupid move. SFA is 15 minutes from the nations capitol. I think SFI realized that even if they don't add too many rides, people are still going to come. Thousands and thousands of tourists visit DC everyday and millions live in the DC Metropolitan area. And you guys forgot that SFA is expecting Thomas Town with 10 new attractions in 2010. If they were even thinking about selling the park, why would they add Thomas Town, and such a huge one at that? But this is not a SFA discussion so I'm done lol
  24. Man I really want to go to HHN one year! Too bad I live so d*mn far, atleast I have SFA's Fright Fest lol
  25. I missed out on DeJa Vu at SFMM 2 years ago because we couldn't find it. We took a right on that random mountain path (near Tatsu) and ended up near Ninja and Superman. I missed out on the last year BORG was BORG at Carowinds. My sister hates Batwing so she refused to ride BORG. I missed out on Storm Runner last May because it was never open when we headed towards the ride, but everytime we rode something else, we would see a train full of happy riders blasting through the ride. I also missed out on Comet at Hershey because the line was very long and it didn't look worth the wait. I missed out on Speed the ride in Vegas. It was just sooo hot outside and we stayed at the Circus Circus which has an indoor amusement park without the heat! lol Even though Speed was right across the street, and I could see it from my hotel room, we never went. I regret it because I heard its the best coaster in Vegas, and it might not be there much longer. I think thats it... for now!
