  1. The Flight of Fear models and the voyage are the only coasters I have found that I can completely love even with the MCB on so hard to the point it almost stops the train. Voyage has a pretty hard MCB but it gets more insane after the MCB!
  2. She must be mental alright
  3. I'm only 20 years old & I know many people myself included who may have flat feet/ low arches that may experience some pain while standing in a long line on the hard cement throughout a long day at a park. I would rather not just go home or spend my day on a park bench as you suggest. At least you mention leaning on them should be acceptable. I never sit on a rail close to the station, just further out in the que where it won't bother the ride ops. & itnotfair who posted above me is completely correct. It's the suit-happy culture that the parks are protecting against, not me. It's unfortunate the way a few people ruin it for all.
  4. Woah, look at photo #23 with the custom 4-ray motif. That's a really good look at it! The link is in that blank space in his post I promise. It just blends in because I quoted it.
  5. Hmm, yeah I don't know. It didn't bother me right off the bat but I guess I'll wait and see when it's flying.
  6. Hmm, I don't think it would bug me. It seems about the only effect it would have would be limiting the annoying hanging over sensation while waiting for the rest of the train to push over a hill. I don't think it would really limit 'ejector' airtime or anything on a flying coaster since it doesn't really exist on flyers. I can't really think of anything else it could cause...
  7. B&M does pull throughs. That entire discussion can be found on page 89 of that thread. Actually that's not necessarily true. The two B&M's that are opening this year did not have pull-throughs and youre reference to that thread is irrelevant since it's a thread on one of these two coasters. The trains look beautiful. They really get it, those Busch people.
  8. Raging Bull (yes that works - check out the ACE listing for T2)
  9. I'm going to have to say Nemisis at Alton Towers & Pepsi Max Big One at Black Pool because I haven't ridden either and I don't think I'll get over there for a while. I wonder how long some of the more world famous roller coasters will last before being removed or upgraded like steel phantom into phantom's revenge?
  10. I'm kind of with you on this but luckily not to that extreme. I've totally lost the fear part of coaster riding & I'm always hoping for a 500 or 600 foot steel coaster with a complex layout. TTD & KK are alright but think of a 500 foot tall flight of fear type of ride, or a coaster with a 500 foot tall chain lift. I'm sure there will be some more record breakers in my lifetime which I am impatiently awaiting. The first coasters I was obsessed with watching were Shockwave & the original Batman: the ride @ SFGAm. Shockwave was the tallest, fastest, coaster with the most loops when it opened. My first ever coaster to ride was Viper with my Dad the year Raging Bull opened and needless to say I fell in love with them immediately and rode all the coasters @ SFGAm in one day including Raging Bull which Instantly became my favorite. Here I am 10 years & 60 coasters later more obsessed with them than I was on day one.
  11. LOL, I heard a "this is going on TPR!" Interesting SFOG opening day footage.
  12. Wow this thread is amazing. I can't believe that 'rainbow' ride that looked like an enterprise or orbit on an arc was actually constructed and operated. Here is some interesting Info on Old Indiana Fun Park that many people may already know but I find it interesting, being the Hoosier that I am. Someone mentioned the bobsled that was sitting disassembled in an indiana field for some time. Many people may already know this but that was the Old Indiana Fun Park property. I had the chance to visit there when I was younger before the unlucky miniature train accident but I was too young to ride the two credits: Montagnes Russes & Mad Mouse. Here is a link to the RCDB page detailing the history of the park, it's many name changes, financial trouble, and it's downfall: http://rcdb.com/pd89.htm http://rcdb.com/ig692.htm?picture=7 http://rcdb.com/ig169.htm?picture=3 ^The pictures when you click on the coasters are just sad. The coasters were transported from Opryland & SFNE for storage after the park had closed so they never operated at Old Indiana . It's also interesting to think Premier parks was planning to reopen the park as a "Heartland Festival Entertainment Complex" in 1999 but six flags has since sold the property. I'm also fascinated with the history of Pacific Ocean Park (Not Santa Monica Pier). It's where my mom had her first date circa 1967. I've found a lot of information on wikipedia and a few other enthusiast websites detailing many of the rides & history but if anyone has any additional information that would be awesome to take a look at with my Mom. Thanks for getting through my post!
  13. I think you mean, "This is why going to the dentist is completely awesome!"
  14. Haha true, also robb and coaster geeks who actually know what they're talking about can still use the term to to be silly & fun. And the obvious one: people giving incorrect stats or making ridiculous claims who make me question their common sense.
  15. No, I love her syrup though. Have you ever been to a wedding at a theme park?
  16. ^Wow I really hope those^ rumors for SF Great America & St. Louis aren't true. I'm hoping for some better additions than that for two of the closest SF to me. Great America really needs something outstanding to elevate it. Enough of buccaneer battle and dark knight already. A new coaster in place of Iron Wolf would be alright I guess, I just hope it's not wooden. American Eagle & Viper are outstanding woodies already. edit: unless its an intamin pre-fab woodie, obviously
  17. You're avatar is kinda... Freaky... it scares me... Haha just joking, but yeah I guess I'd have to agree. There are some fun ones though.
  18. LOLing at the hidden mickey. I'm not a fan of MF either. I mean it is swell and all but, I just feel for how big it is it could be so much more. & I guess I am a complete noob for this but I've been on Raptor twice & I never noticed how the pre-drop turn is almost right on top of Blue Streak, weird... ***edit: ahhh I looked up other pictures & I see now. That angle was playing tricks on me. Still cool how close it is though. /edit***
