  1. I think Cedar Point's mgmt. is intellegent and are most likely planing on laying low for 2 or possibly 3 years and then will come out with something that will really shake things up. Either an El Toro sized intamin pre-fab. or the tallest dive coaster out there. I hope they stay away from flyers, 4d coasters, and non-pre-fabricated woodies. I think they're are intellegent enough to do so.
  2. I guess my home park would be Holiday World or Indiana Beach but I've been to SF Great America many more times & I'm starting to fall in love with KI. Beast + Diamondback = heaven (hopefully)
  3. YES! as for mine based on a count of 60 coasters: TOP FIVE STEEL: Raging Bull ---------------(SFGAM) Top Thrill Dragster--------(CP) Flight of Fear--------------(KI) Fahrenheit-----------------(HP) original Batman the Ride-(SFGAM) TOP THREE WOOD: Beast-------------(KI) American Eagle--(SGFAM) Viper--------------(SFGAM) Millennium Force (CP) & the Voyage (HW) are way overrated
  4. Hi everybody, my name's Ted. I'm turning 21 this year, (sweet!) and I study @ Indiana University. SF Great America, Hershey Park, & Kings Island are my the favorite parks so far. As you can imagine i'm insanely excited for Diamondback. I think Cedar Point is way overrated but I am excited to ride maverick this summer seeing as how I haven't had a chance to do so yet. Favorite Woodie: Beast Steel: Raging Bull I love B&M hypers. they're so comfortable I could fall asleep in them. their seats are the only way to ride! I am impatiently awaiting the announcement of a 500+ ft. coaster & which park it will be at. I hope we get some mammoth sized record breaking coasters that are full complex circuits, not just a cheap trick like TTD & Kingda Ka in my lifetime. I love libraries, music, books, friends, & tattoos don't hesitate to message me
  5. I like how tightly woven the concept art was. Kudos! I know it included inversions so it wasn't a hyper however, I like Raging Bull for the fact it's a B & M hyper that is not an out and back. It has more of a cyclone layout with the drop in the middle and big turn arounds on each end. I hope we get another B&M mega in this style instead of more out and backs like Nitro, AC, & Diamondback (all though they are swell) Well the mystery track isn't fakery. We're still trying to figure that out. My best guess is that it was extra track that they decided to move around their facilities or test track. I think it's much too late for a 2009 coaster & I doubt it will be for a 2010 coaster installation either, all though I could be wrong.
  6. Maybe look into Six Flags Great America instead of Kentucky Kingdom. There are plenty of reasonable hotels along I-94. I've been about 10 different years. Just don't stay at the best western, we have come to call it Worst Western.
  7. Great TR/ captions! I can't wait for the testing videos to pop up & get a better sense for the speed, pacing, and splashdown than what you can see on the animation.
  8. Good point. Despite having been to 11 parks and riding intamins like fahrenheit the only intamin hyper i've been on was MF.
  9. Yeah, I don't see it happening anytime soon if even at all. I think it would be much more uncomfortable than inverted loops because you'd be pushing against the harness instead the bottom of a seat like in inverted loops. Also it would be a sudden push against the harness not a gradual one like on a giant inverted boomerang. We can hope though...
  10. I don't know about manta making kraken the stepchild. I think Manta will be fantastic but I totally agree with Electerik in that flying coasters aren't where they need to be as far as a thrill factor. Manta & Tatsu are definitely steps in the right direction compared to S:Ultimate Flights but flying coasters seem to drag along. I hope they're not making up for this lack of thrill by throwing in the extra in-line-twists. The rest of Manta looks great but 3 of these zero G rolls in a coaster this short? I think we could do with just 1 or 2 of them and some other elements mixed in. This is totally off the wall but do you think we'll ever see outside looping flying coasters instead of pretzel and the inside vekoma flying dutchman loops?
  11. My thoughts on Diamondback so far: It looks fantastic. I wish B&M would make a 300 foot version of their mega model. (making it a giga coaster or whatnot). I also wish it's first drop was into a tunnel like Raging Bull's. But I am still extremely excited for the opening and cannot wait to see some test videos. KI has a much more solid lineup than people give it credit for having. The Beast is the best wooden coaster in existence, and Yes I Have Ridden Voyage. Beast is better. Also to everyone saying it will suck compared to Behemoth. I find no reason to believe that, its actually supposed to have a top speed of 80 mph compared to behemoth's 77. I enjoy B&M's more than intamin hypers. I'll take 200 footers Raging Bull, Nitro, or Apollo's Chariot over 300 foot millennium force any day. I think that it speaks volumes to their ride designs that their shorter coasters are superior to MF
  12. JimmyBo's is really how Hard Rock Park should have been themed to begin with.
  13. Haha! great update, hurray mr. six & 'popsicle stick' coasters! I'm wondering about the same thing as STR8FXXXINEDGE; Is that the real mr. six or just a hired entertainer to walk around the park? It will be such a sad day when the old dancing man finally passes away.
