  1. What's hard to tell from the video is where airtime will actually be. If you remember, the Outlaw Run video looked more twisty than full of airtime, but in reality there is crazy airtime all over that ride! You get launched out of your seat sideways, upside down ways, and places that don't look like you should get airtime from the video. So you never know! If I learned one thing from Twisted Colossus and Lightning Run it's that RMC knows how to sneak in air time when you least expect it. The top gun stall delivered the most interesting sensation I've ever felt on a coaster. These rides look like something dreamed up in NL, but they're actually getting built.
  2. The park can remain profitable without raising ticket prices. With that said, the park is so crowded so often these days people NEED to be priced out. Especially pass holders. Honestly, this resort needs a third gate sooner rather than later to help dump visitors else where.
  3. ^ the line for TC was one of the shortest lines at the park when I went a couple weekends ago. Not because nobody was riding it, but because it was staffed well and loading efficiently. I would try and hit Yolo first. We didn't get on it first thing, and by the time we got back around to it, it was easily an hour wait. Maybe hit Yolo, TC a couple of times, and then move around the park as you please after.
  4. Without having seen the show, I cant really comment. With that said, rape is legitamately a touchy subject for many people so Im not surprised they'd modify a related joke
  5. Didnt do fright night but visited the park yesterday in the morning. Got 3 rides in with duels both sides every time. Twas awesome!
  6. Today's new is tomorrow's classics. In 2025, everyone will be complaining when they remove Frozen for the next big thing. I personally see it as progress. And like someone else said, Aladdin has had more then enough time in that theater. I'm looking forward to seeing something new.
  7. Not necessarily. A similar ride at a park the size of CP would have more trains and cars. They could easily do a duel station which would allow 3 trains on the track at one time. The possibilities are endless with this! Though I do think GG aught to consider a boost on the return trip for future iterations of this. Overall looks great though!
  8. I would kill to have a beer with John Murdy. It would be really cool to pick that guy's brain. Very excited for this year! I haven't been since they moved some of the mazes onto the backlot itself.
  9. I'm not sure either, as Gravity Group is a design firm, not a construction company, while GCI is both, if I'm correct. Maybe Gravity Group has had GCI construct some of their projects before, but I'd doubt it. I would assume that the work is being completed by a local contractor with oversight by a few engineers from the commissioned vendor, whether that's GCI or RMC.
  10. Unfortunately, SFMM has proven they don't really know how to operate a duel loading station in a way that's efficient. So while in an ideal world, that would work, in reality it wouldnt because SFMM.
  11. Timelines always get pushed back and plans get scrapped. Who knows if it's falling in line with their original plan, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did plan major projects a few years out.
  12. ^ that would be great and I thought about that too when they announced they were removing the swings. I was always a little bummed when they removed it in the first place, but if it comes back better than ever and refreshed, I couldn't be more excited. Knott's is really bringing back a lot of what was lost the last decade. On another note, this popped up on reddit. Some one dug up footage of Xcelerator testing at speeds of over 90 mph. I didnt even know it was tested at those speeds! [youtu_be]http://youtu.be/-6NHkMDPx7Q[/youtu_be]
  13. Well . . . griffon doesn't have one. They've got the overpass. I count that, though you're right, it's not technically a tunnel.
  14. A dive machine with no tunnels? It just doesn't feel right!
  15. Six Flags is making all the right moves with their attraction additions. Now if they could only wrangle in their operations...
  16. Personally like MF. I wanted Maverick's transitions to feel more like i305's but they felt like more of a jerk rather than that rotational snap i305 has.
  17. Keep in mind, this is only based on the rides I've been on. There are rides that exist in some of these states that popped up after my last visit US: CA: Tatsu WA: Timberhawk ID: Timber Terror OH: Millennium Force FL: Kumba KT: Lightning Run IN: Voyage Virginia: i305 NV: Desperado
  18. Oh God no. Trust me, it's better to have Silverwood remain as is. It's a great park and your community should (and is) very proud of. I'm sure it won't be long before they add another world class addition.
  19. Woah! Looks like its Premier's turn to rebuttal with a better skyloop model
  20. After reading more of what Robb said and considering the market Robb is trying to capture (social media users with a casual interest in themeparks I guess would be the term to profile them?) I suppose there is a real oppurtunity Its also an oppurtunity for the casuals to be exposed to a bit more information then what they would likely find and no about. I would think TPR's youtube page which, from what I can gather, has a HUGE viewership consisting of the general population could be a start to help drive that casual market to thag subreddit. Also it makes more sense for some one new to simply subscribe to a new subreddit rather than register for YET ANOTHER site. You would be eliminating a barrier to engage the community. (How many long time lurkers are there that have never gone through the process of making an account) Another thought is TPR having its own website is an archaic model. The future might be a subreddit. It could eliminate the need for such a robust site in the future and possibly only concern itself as acting as a facilitator for trips and related merch purchase. Just some thoughts as I've considered it more
  21. There are theme park & roller coaster related subreddits already available. They don't get much discussion honestly. This IS the best place to discuss those topics. There's no sense in splitting your audience across 2 different sites
  22. 1. Raptor 2. Alpengiest 3. Dueling Dragons Fire 4. Banshee 5. Batman clones
  23. Hah! HAHAHAH! HA! Not even close. Gemini had ok airtime but it doesn't hold a candle to i305
