Final Destination 3
timetrial3141592 replied to KrakenKing's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Rollercoaster: The beginning: Let me get this straight. The gum. WTF does that signify? She senses that she will hit the broken track, fall down and onto the corkscrew (of course, as a train passes and she gets killed.) (By the way, if you hit the track and grab on, if you are less than 90 feet away from the ground and there is no track below you, for GOD'S SAKE LET GO! Two broken legs and maybe a few cracked ribs is SO much better than death. But what a way to go!) Anyway, the asshole with the camera lets it drop (a neat trick, considering that he is secured to it) (wait. The girl's camera was taken from her. Why not the guy's camcorder?), it wraps around the rail (which is physically impossible), the coaster hits that rail and the camera strap, instead of breaking, hooks onto the train. Now, logically, if that were to happen, the camera would be treated to a short ride, to the next crossbar, where it would break. The restraint system catch was already frayed, hence the sparks. The camera strap somehow breaks the restraint catches on the entire train, one after another, (a pretty damn neat trick, seeing as the restraint catches are on the SIDES of the train), the restrains pop up en masse, the camera pops one wheel nut, the coaster goes through the corkscrew and some metal doohickey in the train breaks, both wheels fly off (again pretty impressive), the train goes through a hill, the metal doohickey neatly slices through the track, the coaster stalls in the loop, the kids are stuck, somehow this gets resolved(honestly, using a cherry picker to get them down would be the smart thing to do, not trying to run the coaster.), the train decouples (see Death's Design), the train hits the break, it flies in the air, people fall out, (by the way, I would hold my restraint down and pray to God that the coaster's mass would cause it to land upright. Given the laws of physics, this should happen.) and the people who got off die in sick ways. Morals: 1) Don't try to cheat death. They didn't say they wouldn't make a FD4. 2) Death is one sick creature. 3) Secure your camcorder to your hand with duct tape. Hurts lice hell, but it's safer. 4) NEVER ride a coaster called "The Devil's Flight." 5) Leave the videorecording to the Alveys. Please. I thought about this idea of sick Death. "How can I be killed?" I realized I was sitting directly beneath a light fixture. So I moved. THen I thought, "Now it can bounce up and kill me." So I put a book over my head and went back under the fixture. -

RCT 1/2/3 Rants!
timetrial3141592 replied to Luxo's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Okay. RCT1: What is with the "must get lost on paths of more than one square wide" mentality? It was a good game, though. RCT2: I like this one a lot, so I can live with its faults, but: They took out the boosters. The scenery can be horrendous. What is with the expansion packs? they're worse than useless. The coaster designer stinks, the peeps are STILL stupid, the Six Flags parks are not even CLOSE to anything realistic, and the staff just bumble. RCT3: Lags, impossible to design buildings, no custom supports, all swinging coasters can glitch upside down, they put Zero G Rolls on the WRONG coasters, the peeps are even stupider, the land tool is frustrating, the coasters themselves are horrendous, the overbanks aren't, the coasters lose speed too fast, the Strata is useless, all coasters start out black, the colors are ugly, the peeps are ugly, there is no trainer, the tutorials are useless, the scenarios are too hard, the VIPs are pointless, and many of the track designs are locked until you beat scenarios. WTF? -

DCA's Sun Wheel

Mobius coasters count as 1 credit, but riding one side gets you that credit. Any coaster where you want to stop and examine the queue counts as 2: the coaster and the queue. (DD is thus 3.) -
And now: the "Painting the Great Nor'easter Show!" BOB: Hey Bill, let's paint this coaster. BILL: Great idea! *At the paint store* BILL: Ooh ooh! Let's paint it this red cxolor! BOB: All of it? BILL: Yeah! *1 month later* BOB: Great job, Bill. ACE GUY: That is the ugliest coaster ever! OTHER ACE GUY: Meh, it's a credit. *fade out*

I am surprised nobody has filmed the queue of DD. Do you know where I can get a video of the queue?

DCA's Sun Wheel
timetrial3141592 replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My rules: - Racing coasters count as 2 unless they are mirror images of one another AND they do not run one side backwards. - If you ride XLR8, there are 2 credits: forward and backward. - Powered coasters are credits, but any non-powered coaster where I am taller than the biggest drop and are not portable (e.g. Goliath Jr.) does not. (Got that?) - TOGO coasters count as two credits, as you have to force yourself to ride them. - Sun Wheels are not credits, but Alpine Slides are. - X's left side and X's right side are each a credit. -

I know somebody from Japan, who consistently refers to himself as "it." It is probably the fault of a bad translator. -

If they put Zonga back the way it was when it was Thriller, then we could really enjoy Anton's masterpiece. It WAS more intense... -

So far, ArrowFanMan's video is the best. "RollerCoaster (tycoon) 2" I just realised, someone should have made a parody of "Final Destination 3." I mean, Superwirbel is *identical* to the vekoma deathmachine (literally) in the trailer. -

How did you get your screen name?

"Time Trial" was my first rideable coaster in RCT2, and I always append pi to my screennames. -
