It would be tough considering production costs, then trying to get advertising. No theme park magazine would do well in "mainstream", and specialty magazines are usually too costly to produce. ACE and ECC's work because it's included in club prices, and therefore, they can afford to make them.

I din't know Robb was such an ass
TheGreatOne replied to paramountguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
You're not making many friends around here, Paramountguy. You have terrible grammar, you ask people for their opinions (but then try restrict people from saying anything YOU don't want to hear), and now you're calling out Robb (who is just trying to keep HIS site a decent place to post). As EBL has said, this is a discussion forum, not instant messanger, so your manners and grammar should follow accordingly. If you don't like Robb's rules, don't post here. It's his site and he can do whatever he wants. -Bryan "Ironically, you're making yourself the ass, not Robb" Wood -
That was great. Also, I loved all the hints that Justine Bateman's character was a prostitute. Such as... on the dot-matrix printout it said "conslutant" instead of consultant. or Michael on the phone "you forgot to add away at the end". Then he tells someone (I forget who now) "He said she's blown everyone away." Also loved William Hung and the Hung Jury and Franklin wearing the "George Bush hates Black Puppets" shirt...classic!

The last two episodes really felt like a series finale instead of a season finale. I am forlorn.

^Sure beats watching the "pagentry" of the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics. -Bryan "Come On!" Wood

Love Monkey on CBS was a good show...but CBS got so impatient, they cancelled it already. Running it against Law and Order didn't help ratings. I also love Cheap Seats on ESPN Classic. It's basically Mystery Science Theatre 3000 meets the sports world.

Favorite SFKK Coaster
TheGreatOne replied to paramountguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thunder Run is the only roller coaster at SFKK that has been consistently good during my visits, therefore, it is the best. -Bryan "whoever voted for t2 is on crack"Wood -
Magic Mountain Strategy for 02/12/06 (sunday)
TheGreatOne replied to Skyscraper's topic in Ask Alvey
Yeah, Ninja opened a few hours after opening when I visited on January 6th. It was even posted on the "today's closed rides" sign at the gates. It was a nice surprise to see it open later in the day! It only ran one train, but it was a walk-on thanks to the low number of people. -Bryan "the walk up that hill is CRAZY" Wood -
I won't ruin it for you Westcoasters, but tonight's episode was fantastic...and The Office afterwards is tearing it up right now. My favorite part of tonight's show was the "fish" sequence and Earl's brother trying to figure out a laptop password. Christine Taylor guest starred and was looking mighty fine. -Bryan "Had a crush on her when she was Melody on the Nickelodeon show Hey Dude!" Wood

That's a bad idea. Sounds like you have Cedar Point Syndrome. Just because a park doesn't have a lot of coasters doesn't mean it's not worthwhile. BGW is a prime example of this. It's my favorite corporate park because it has a little of everything. As far as coasters go, I'd really love to see any well-themed coaster. A terrain Intamin launcher with a twisting dive towards the Rhine River would be excellent.

Wow...that looks like a miniature Busch park. Thanks for sharing! Share more if you have them! -Bryan "loves seeing international parks" Wood

Intamin Accelerators
TheGreatOne replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Volcano is an LSM Launch and not Hydraulic. I've been on TTD, Xcel, and SR. Storm Runner is my favorite because of the layout and wicked airtime in the frontseat. Xcelerator has a more intense launch to me than TTD(which is more drawn out), so Xcelerator is #2. -Bryan "rode Storm Runner before everyone and is a tool to brag about it" Wood -
The refs sucked, but Jerramy Stevens failing to back up his mouth and Josh Brown missing two long kicks hurt Seattle worse. Oh yeah, the terrible ball management and the end of each half didn't help. -Bryan "The game needs better refs regardless" Wood

I think it was a fluke. Family Guy is fairly smart and witty for a low-brow comedy. It's biggest thing is having so many laugh-out-loud moments. One episode didn't really deliver that(outside of Stewie's parachute and Stewie hitting the bus), but I can even think of great comedies that have thrown out stinkers.

Shapiro visits SFKK
TheGreatOne replied to M_Force_4_ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, that's how I feel. For people who think some of these things aren't good ideas, remember, these guys have a huge mess (financially and in the parks) to clean up. It's such a problem that the solutions have to be harsh and brutal until things clear up. BTW....have they painted t2 recently? It really needed one in 2003. Heck, they should spend the money on removing it instead of re-painting it. -Bryan "Give these guys a few years, heck, most of these parks haven't even opened for the season yet" Wood -
