Considering it seems like half of Pittsburgh has filed for bankruptcy in the past 30 years, it can't be too surprising. Outside of the nice part of downtown(and Kennywood), Pittsburgh is a depressing city.

I've had a few minor problems with Firefox 1.5. 1) Major cramps that sucks up 200mb of free RAM on my computer. (although I reinstalled it and this problem hasn't come back) 2) Right-click box does not always show up when I right click to save images, copy, paste and the like. 3) A few major slow-downs at random without any pages that demand high usage.

The 202-foot-tall concrete structure dropped slightly, leaned a little – and stopped. Onlookers at viewing spots all over downtown groaned and gasped – with a few jokes mixed in. ``The leaning tower of Zip,'' one woman said. ``The building won!'' yelled another man, to the cheers of onlookers. The abandoned feed mill elevator, widely considered the tallest building in South Dakota, was being demolished to make way for office and retail space. The property owners had turned the event into a fundraiser for the Dakota chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Residents bought T-shirts and $1 raffle tickets for the chance to trigger the blast, and stood outside with temperatures in the teens to view the tower's demise. Crews had drilled holes into the tower's supporting columns and stuffed them with explosives, intending to drop the tower like a falling tree. However, the rear of the tower was so rotten that it wasn't stiff enough to push over, said Jim Redyke, president of blasting specialist Dykon Explosive Demolition of Tulsa, Okla. ``As the weight was transferred to the back side, it crushed the back walls and it crushed the basement wall,'' Redyke said. The tower collapsed into the structure's basement and got wedged. Crews planned to return to knock it down with a crane, but that might not occur until Thursday, said Jeff Hanson, spokesman for the site's co-owners, Raven Industries Inc. and Howalt-McDowell Insurance Inc. Officials and the contractor in charge examined the site and determined the tower would hold, but the site remains fenced off and watched by security guards. The blast may well have been enough to knock off the tower's tallest building status. Qwest Tower in downtown Sioux Falls hadn't been far behind at 195 feet. The tower was opened in 1956, one of the most modern feed elevators of its time, but ceased operations in 2000. It sits on a bare lot in an industrial section just east of downtown along the Big Sioux River in this city of 134,000. For much of its history, Sioux Falls' largest employer was a livestock meatpacking plant. But about 25 years ago, Citibank moved its credit card division to Sioux Falls and started a change toward more white-collar jobs. The Zip tower is being replaced by a $15 million office and retail center, and possibly a new events center. Construction could begin this spring. The raffle tickets raised $25,000 for the charity. Corporate sponsorships, VIP admissions and T-shirt sales were expected to raise the total past $140,000.

Both woodies at Camden Park in West Virginia...it's honestly shocking that those things are both still standing! Size and speed really doesn't scare me, but the anticipation provides the rush. I'm sure Voyage will be the new-to-me ride this year where I'll be psyched up as I'm traveling the lift. I'm so lucky I'll be moving within a few hours of the park! Are you serious? I think it's the worst ride in the park. I'd take the Chance, Weber, Zierer and even A.R.M.'s versions of the Falling Star over Dorney's Joker. I was so disappointed with that ride, it was run like a kiddie ride (but then again, so is their Top Spin).

I can't wait to visit Dollywood...April 3rd, 2006 on the way back from SFoG and Carowinds!

Or: Just ride it in a downpour. It was painful getting beat by the rain, but Twister was unbelieveable in the rain. It combined the great lats with Phoenix-esque airtime. It still ranks as my best lap on a coaster I've ever had. Unless I missed it, Thunder Run at SFKK hasn't been mentioned. Easily the best (or Top 2 or 3) Dinn coasters. Tons of airtime and a fun little layout. I had 3 or 4 outstanding rides back in 2003. The park sucks, but Thunder Run was worth the time.

I don't know much about Rendell or his politics, but he loves his parks and knows the value they mean to his state. He was giddy at Storm Runner media day...which surprised me...a politician with a personality!

^ Exactly. Knoebel's almost always preserves buildings that are outdated, and they probably don't have half of the budget that Dorney has. Heck, that park has been hit by floods time and time again and they keep the buildings in pretty good shape. Are they the nicest buildings? No. Are the modern and up to date? Not close. But they are a piece of that unique and "homey" atmosphere that gives you a warm feeling even on a cold fall evening. Dorney Park, even though it is clean and has fun rides, has an empty and cold feeling even on a bright and shiny day. Most CF parks feel this way to me, save Frontier Trail at Cedar Point. Bare, open areas with an ordinary buildings don't have soul. I'd love to see what some of the older locals in Allentown have to say about the park now. Modern, thrilling rides are great, but they shouldn't come at the expense of the soul of the park. Dorney had so many unique attractions...if they would have kept just one or two of them, it would change the atmosphere of the park immensely. Let's not forget what else Cedar Fair has done to this park: Removed: Journey to the Center of the Earth (was last remaining PTC Mill Chute) Traver Circle Swing Indoor PTC Cuddle Up Lusse Auto Skooters (and replaced with modern crap) Indy 500 Electric Car Race (also one of the last remaining) Numerous park-specific facades and entries The Parking entrance tower Renovated: Thunderhawk's station, razed the pre-lift tunnel, now just a concrete trench I'm probably missing some others here. I've been to Geauga Lake about 30 times, Kennywood over 20. I grew up riding the Big Dipper and Rocket Ships every summer.

My first concert was New Kids on The Block at the Coliseum in Richfield, OH. I owned two of their cassettes. I blame my cousin and her obsession for me actually liking them. I may be one of the few born and raised Northern Ohioans who loathes Cedar Point. Every time I visit, I realize how much I like other parks.

Well, since Britney and Paris have been covered, let me add a few: Lindsay Lohan (I honestly can't believe no one has posted this yet) Jennifer Lopez-I hate diva types Ben Affleck (he's been photographed smoking around his pregnant wife) and my #1... Sean Penn. Moron does not even begin to describe him.

I love the ARM Tower at Castles n' Coasters. Lightning fast drop the second you hit the apex, and the brakes hit at the very last second. It's very unnerving and fun. In fact, I'll take it over Power Tower.

These were not balls. There were two lights, white, and they were over an area were there are no mountains (East of Thunderbird Park in Glendale and Northwest of North Mountain/Lookout Mountain). They had a distinct path and were by no means temporary.

Dear God, This ride is the opposite of pointless. Both myself and Scaparri were laughing after our first ride. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun on a ride during my first time. I saw two lights over Northern Phoenix (about an hour north of Ahwatukee) at the Loop 101 and I-17 interchange around 7:15. It sort of just hung up in the air. Then, it made a crazy down-left dive (to give you guys a parallel....think of Raptor's first drop). I wasn't sure what to make of it, and dismissed it quickly. Laser at Dorney Park always gets me on the second loop. It's the only ride that's done it to me every time. It's a brown out more than a black-out. Double Loop at Geauga Lake got me as a kid a few times.
