  1. Kennywood is a very fun park. Hersheypark is a three-hour drive from Pittsburgh with toll roads. If you've never been to Hershey, I'd recommend going there, but if you don't feel like driving an extra three hours, stick with Kennywood. -Bryan "Either way, you'll have a blast" Wood
  2. Wow, that's sad that you would think that. Indiana Beach is one of my favorite parks, and I had crappy weather during my visit and was soaked to the bone. They've got a classic pier/beachside atmosphere and some very well-run rides. I'd take Indiana Beach over SFKK or Geauga Lake (and Geauga Lake is a sentimental favorite of mine since I grew up there) anyday.
  3. Frankly, I'd be surprised if they can maintain the increase in attendance without adding a big thrill ride every three years or so. No matter how much you spend, Six Flags will never be Disney. Six Flags carved it's niche with great thrill rides mixed with family "fun". -Bryan "I like some of the things I hear, but I remain skeptical with some other things" Wood
  4. PKI's version ran a lot better than PKD's to me. I last rode both in 2004 and PKD's was heavily trimmed...I didn't even know the ride had trims because PKI's always flies! As far as rethemeing, I'm for it. Being in the queue line a few times a year becomes pretty boring, especially since that video loops every 5 minutes. -Bryan "I wouldn't miss FoF all that much" Wood
  5. From what I've been told, in the old Whirlwind spot. -Bryan "It's a good trade-off" Wood
  6. What's sad is that this project will take a backseat to El Toro in the area (at least with the GP). I'm really excited for this one-of-a-kind ride. I can't wait to get back to Knoebel's this season! -Bryan "Twister is sooo underrated" Wood
  7. I don't scream much, but I do like to show my "o-face".
  8. ^Awesome song. I just downloaded HIM's "Wings of a Butterfly" as my newest ringtone.
  9. Thank you for stereotyping. People smoke everywhere. I have a hard time seeing the bigger SF parks being able to enforce this. Holiday World can easily enforce it because they're a smaller park and there's not many places where you could sneak off and light one up. Can anyone else see people trying to light one up in a bathroom to get a quick fix like kids in high school did? -Bryan "Smoking is disgusting"Wood
  10. There are some parks out there that don't jack up prices to compensate. Knoebel's and Lakemont come to mind...I'd be amazed if Lakemont makes any kind of profit since they charge only $7.50 for an all-day wristband.
  11. A rocket coaster at Space World? That doesn't even make sense! I mean, try to stick to your themeing, folks! -Bryan "sarcastic" Wood DISCLAIMER: This post contains heavy sarcasm that really isn't even funny. If you actually believed that someone is stupid enough the think a Rocket coaster wouldn't fit at Space World, then you yourself are a moron.
  12. Well, they didn't visit me in Phoenix...so that can't be the theme. -Bryan "One arrogant S.O.B." Wood
  13. Here's some of me at SFMM... Woohoo! I figured it out! Trying to figure out the effing moose straw at Mooseburger Lodge at SFMM...
  14. I'm pretty sure Nogales wins that argument. Their slogan is: Nogales: Our City actually does smell like ass and Taco Bell fire sauce.
  15. That is foxy. Can't wait until May! -Bryan "Loves GCII" Wood
  16. Mantis isn't a rough as people make it out to be. Most enthusiasts are wimps with no tolerance for pain. I do agree that the closer to the front you ride, the less headbanging there is. As with most CP steel coasters (save Raptor, Magnum, Gemini), the quality of Mantis' ride has went down over the past few years.
  17. The key for me right now is the one lane (each way) highway. I think it's a given they were on I-40. The newest highway picture is in the "high desert" area in Northern Arizona/Southern Utah/Southwestern Colorado/Northwestern New Mexico. The highway looks a lot like State Rt. 89 in Arizona. I'm going to interpret the "Cliffs" clue as literal cliffs off of mountains. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the pics of the beer is from Tiffany Tree Lounge at Little America Hotel outside of Flagstaff...and the cliffs are from possibly Walnut Canyon near Flagstaff?
  18. Whenever Robb and Elissa need hot women emoticons, I'll be happy to help if they'll send hot women my way. -Bryan "there's no such thing as too many beautiful women" Wood
  19. I can only see my own AIM, I can't see anyone else's AIM! You know, now that you mention it, I can't see anyone else's either. It won't show up in anyone's profile on the "member bar" below each person's post....except for me. -Bryan "Talks to myself way too much and doesn't need to do it on AIM on top of it" Wood
  20. Lord of War- A really great movie...some great camera work and well written. Of course, Nicolas Cage carried this movie. Jared Leto and especially Ethan Hawke give great supporting performances. Too bad the DVD is special feature-less, because this movie was interesting enough for me to want to watch some. But alas, there is hardly anything (unless they come out with a special edition). A solid 4 star movie for me.
  21. That is effing awesome. Where did you find Arrested Development wallpaper and the Chicken Dance screensaver? I've got Family Guy on mine right now but am looking to change it. My ringtone is Avenged Sevenfold's "Bat country"
  22. To answer the question in the post....EVERYBODY!
  23. Cliff's is a seasonal park, so that couldn't be it. They could be taking I-40 to 17 to 10 to get to Phoenix where Castles n' Coasters is...but I can't imagine a scenario where they'd want to drive to a place where they already have credits and is ghetto... -Bryan "one more week in Phoenix then I move" Wood
  24. Most sports people would believe that my name would be inspired by the legendary Wayne Gretzky, but in fact, it's what your mom called me after we slept together last night.
  25. Loans to bail a park like Williams Grove that doesn't make too much money can be tricky. Just ask Conneaut Lake. They've been riddled with debt for years now and court battles have ensued because nothing is being paid off (up until recently). -Bryan "loves small parks, even ghetto ones" Wood
