  1. ^Most likely the closest thing to rain that you will experience is the mist on heavy in all of the queue lines
  2. I would honestly rather ride Viper at SFMM than Scream and Riddlers (I'm on the fence about Batman). Viper is an exceptionally good Arrow though, especially now that it's so much smoother
  3. Very interesting trip report man, even though Dback has been photographed from about every angle ever possible, you still kept the pictures of it fresh
  4. Aww the Liquidator is dead? That made one of the best Malcolm in the Middle scenes ever! That was a great tr of a decent looking place, I suppose I should get down there one of these days
  5. ^Right now everyone gets in for 20 bucks which is pretty damn cheap
  6. I voted for Silver Bullet because X2coasterfreak and I understand that somebody needs to show that ride some love....somebody who has also only been on SB and BTR at SFMM
  7. ^I think that would set the record for world's largest schlong right there, I really think they'll find some way to fit a traditional cable lift in
  8. ^This one seems like a good place to start
  9. Are you going to list off the amount of votes that each picture got? Or just the top 3 and a bunch of honorable mentions?
  10. I don't think a lap bar would really work, unless it came from the side like on an X car, or over the top like on Blue Fire and Pilgrim's Plunge
  11. How come Dback was announced August 6th, but we have to wait 20 more days for this and the KD coaster? I really wanna know what this is! But the 'Record breaking' intrigues me
  12. Just ask SFMM management about that one (I'll give you a hint, it's cheaper!) Sounds like you had a very fun day at the park, although kind of bad hearing that Dback can't really deliver like it should in the back row (Although the Intamin fanboy I am is jumping for joy hearing that )
  13. Even though I've never been within like 800 miles of it...It's always sad to see an old Arrow go, especially one as classic as BBW. Good thing we still have 4 at SFMM
  14. In car microwaves that go in between the speakers on the sound system of course ^^Damn that sounds cool....still not worth eating Del Taco food though
  15. I think I'd take onboard audio over flames, but flames that cook bacon that you can then eat when you get off would take the cake
  16. I've seen my fair share of ghetto coasters, but that is the most ghetto coaster I have ever seen, it seems to have less craftsmanship than the Blue Flash!!! Although you can't blame them since it's in a country that has been cut off from a lot of the world. Good find though
  17. The supports could also be telescoping supports and hiding inside the midgets' pants
  18. ^They'd still find a way to get the onboard audio and flames on there
  19. ^^The bird show is definitely a must see, especially when sitting in this row... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtDIwIVLg4U&feature=channel_page Skip to 1:00
  20. YES!!! 5 whole r!ings!!!! That increases the ride's excitement level by 5!!! Does anyone know if the r!ngs are gonna do something cool at night? (seriously though, I can already tell what's coming from the sarcastic posters)
  21. ^Someone said that they're hiding supports in a secret staging area
  22. ^Knott's has about 3 rides with airtime Xcelerator: It has great air, but only in 1 spot Perilous Plunge: Same as Xcelerator Ghostrider: You're too concentrated on not dying on that thing to enjoy the airtime ^^ Yes, SFMM does have a few bone crushers *looks at Batman, Goliath, and Tatsu's pretzel loop* which is why they need a ride that delivers a good amount of airtime. Termy does a pretty good job with keeping you off guard though
  23. This is turning into a B&M v Intamin thread haha, but I will counter your statement by saying, "At what price?" B&M never really tries anything crazy in their rides to keep them reliable, which is great for keeping down time at bay, but really can't give you the "Holy crap what's coming next?" experience that a coaster should do. Their hypers mainly just go up and down now rarely switching things up, and their looping coasters just go: drop, inversion, inversion, inversion, inversion etc. There are no quick changes of direction or changes to the pacing of the ride (except for the obligatory helices found on most of their loopers). Now compare that to Intamin, lets say...Maverick. Maverick= a crazy ass drop, super fast turns with lightning quick transitions, some inversions which everyone seems to like, and then a launch that seems to come out of no where. Plus stengel dives which I hear are nucking futs. Of course that eats reliability due to the extra stress put on the trains and the complexity of the launch. So as I have stated about 5 times in this thread B&M is a park's greatest dream to own, but Intamin always wins with creative layouts. And to get this thread back on topic: God I sure hope they get this thing up and running already
  24. ^I think he meant 2 trains on the course, which sounds really odd figuring as that ride has 50 block sections
  25. California in general lacks airtime, there's barely any at SFMM,some on Xcelerator (but only the tophat), SFDK doesnt have any, DCA has a bit on Screamin, Sea World, forget about it, Universal, forget about it, I'm not quite sure about CGA since I havent been there, but it sure doesnt sound like much. Of course rides like Drop Towers and Perilous Plunge etc have them, but the majority of Cali Coasters really lack airtime. SFMM would be taking the cake for pretty much all of California if they made a ride with lots of airtime.
