  1. I'm pretty sure people would rather not ride BBW than die. Alright dying may be a bit too extreme for the circumstances, but if it's broken, it's broken! That's why they're taking it out
  2. I really havent had a problem with it at all this year, I guess everyone has different experiences though
  3. ^When was the last time you rode Viper? Because now that it's smooth I really love that thing
  4. When I went to SFDK, Tony Hawk had about a 45 minute wait when the other rides were walk ons or at least near walk ons
  5. ^And what would make you think that? I personally think it'll be the rumored gigaquatrax in HW's future
  6. ^Well that's one very good find. How tall is the Eifel Tower though?
  7. Which is why I will always be an Intamin fanboy and not a B&M fanboy
  8. How about a crapload of transitions and a giant soupbowl? ^^^^Alright you owned me on that one, Goliath was a bad example Edit: Honestly, how does this Credit: About.com Look like this? Credit: Travelandleisure.com
  9. ^But hypers can do so much more! Just look at Bizarro, Expedition Ge Force, SFOG Goliath, Walibi Goliath etc. That's what I really wanna see B&M do Edit: But honestly, there are so many rides that I'd trade all of the Cali Coasters for, not like we have anything too good around here (well maybe X2)
  10. Please coaster gods, let this coaster do more than go up and down with a couple of helices thrown in.
  11. All you have to do is ask my good buddy Scream how a bad setting can make a bad ride worse
  12. ^^Calling the handicapped "Loser" is pretty damn classy. But it does sound like they were nice to you on Tatsu Just a 2010 thought here, around what time did we start seeing markers for Terminator?
  13. I think a 300 foot tall 95 degree drop would cause a few heart attacks. But the rest of the layout looks great
  14. ^^Screamin is my number 2 being outranked only by X2. I still like it more than Xcelerator, Medusa, Tatsu, and everything else in Cali
  15. He's trying to say that you stated "Morgan...are starting to make some more original coasters..." but Morgan hasn't actually had a coaster built since 2004 (and technically that one was produced in 2002.) So when you say "They are starting to..." doesn't really make sense because you're implying that they are an "up and coming" design firm yet they haven't actually designed a coaster in about 8 years. --Robb Well, I wasn't really looking at the year, I was looking at the chronology, if that makes sense. And also, I wasn't talking only about Morgan, just the topic of all Morgans being the same made me think of the progression of modern coaster companies... While there are companies making huge progression, I don't think B&M should really be listed, but hear me out. Griffon isnt really that original of a ride, it's a slightly altered Sheikra with a 2nd inversion (of course it still looks great). Also Behemoth and Diamondback look pretty much the same to me, their element line up is pretty damn similar in relation to each other. Of course Manta is a pretty good original layout, but it really doesnt push the envelope in anything (when not crediting theming). There's also a huge difference between cloned rides and similar rides. If Six Flags and other parks that had bought BTR's wanted a different layout, they would have asked for it, it wasnt B&M being lazy. So while B&M has progressed over the years, I find that it's nothing too major, Gerstlauer and Intamin would probably have been better choices. I also think that Morgan really hasnt done anything innovative, Phantom's Revenge is their most innovative, and that was partially due to Arrow's great work on the first 2 drops, and Morgan's own creativity.
  16. It constantly breaking down is most likely the reason why they're giving it the axe...
  17. I've ridden 6 B&Ms and have yet to experience a great one. Although none of those are hypers or dive machines If KBF got a B&M, it'd probably be a mega coaster since it's easier to build those over things, that would be a welcome addition for me. Though I havent ridden D'Back or Behemoth, those two dont look very impressive to me at all, of course I havent ridden them so I could be wrong, but it seems like the world class mega coasters (BizarROS, and Ex Ge) seem to have a mixture of airtime and transitions.
  18. ^Or you can look at SFMM Riddler's=meh Batman=beastly, but too short Tatsu=boring except for the lift and pretzel Scream=The worst piece of crap to come from Switzerland since *insert something bad about Switzerland here*
  19. ^How dare you say Timberline Twister is the worst! As far as tiny kiddie coasters go, that ride is awesome, it has good airtime for the little ones, there are much worse kiddie coasters in Cali
  20. It'd be really dumb to replace a ride with crap capacity (I'm looking at you Boomy) for another ride with crap capacity, even if Zac Spins are exponentially cooler
  21. I actually prefer theming because it makes the rides more re ridable (Kill me but I'd rather ride Space Mountain 10 times over Goliath [sFMM] 10 times). Although I really havent ridden a truly world class coaster so I can't say if I'd rather take an amazing ride over a themed ride. (I'm pretty much stuck in California)
  22. Topspins or pretty much any inverting flat ride, stick me on a coaster any day (even V2 at sfdk) but hangtime on a flat ride just is uncomfortable for me. Drop towers also freak me out, although I finally rode Supreme Scream at Knott's so my fear of them has been eased...although the only Intamin tower I've ridden was Freefall at SFMM
  23. ^^^ All of those deserve a major tisk! Although Goliath's ending does suck, the helix is the only good part Best: Terminator Salvation: The Ride (entirely due to the tunnel) Space Mountain DLR Ghostrider if it were smooth Viper SFMM, gotta love those double hangtime filled corkscrews Worst: Ninja (but I still love it) SFMM Ghostrider (ow my spleen) Scream (the ride flat out sucks, and gets nailed in its coffin after the mcbr) SFMM Goliath SFMM (Where's the airtime?!!! At least it has the wonderful death helix) Any SLC (oh the pain)
  24. Does anyone else thing that the Sit Down side on Battlestar should have been the intense one? Thinking about it, the blue side will most likely attract much larger lines due to the appeal of inversions and the inverted coaster.
