  1. Well at least our Colorado trips have 1 thing in common! Sounds like you're having a great time in the Wild West, I was just in CO over the last 5 days and boy is that place pretty, I had an amazing time even though I passed by 3 amusement parks (and Water World) and didnt stop. Keep the show rolling Big Mike
  2. I drove by 3 amusement parks in CO (Heritage (although I'm not sure if there are credits there), Lakeside, and Elitch Gardens) of course my cousin who I was staying with is afraid of coasters
  3. Expedition Everest, Space Mountain DLR, Big Thunder Mountain WDW/DLR Those are all sexy
  4. Those Del Taco marketers sure did a lot of fact checking...I mean I'd be fine if they made a mistake, but when you're trying to sound all technical and everything, you shouldnt get a simple fact like that wrong
  5. ^I hear Silver Star is forceless...of course I will never have the money to get out there and ride it so I have no real opinion. Although with Intamin's new "Less Supports" track style, they'd seem like a more formidable choice for Knott's
  6. I went to SFMM alone once for a few hours just to get the Deja Vu credit I needed. I guess that's not that whory...on a mildly related note...I often ride Canyon Blaster on my SFMM trips
  7. [quote="Top Thrill Dragster" Not going to happen. Knotts uses that parking lot for the people that come to the shopping district. ^ I don't think that'd quite work, unless they could somehow Silver Star it
  8. ^If it was X2 and Tatsu, then you missed out, X I'm not quite sure about since the 1 time I had the opportunity to ride it, it broke down when I was 2 trains away from getting on My cousin wouldnt let me attempt at getting the SFDK Roadrunner credit....and Percy's Railway just taunts me every time I go to SFMM
  9. It's just a thought, it doesnt necessarily have to be that kind of support, it could be different, plus it may not even be a lift support at all
  10. ^Somewhere around that range yeah, I've driven by it a couple times and forgot really how long it took to get down there, but it is still close enough to be considered near L.A
  11. I think Schwarzkopf should pay anyone riding Viper figuring as they're getting the message out. And I was so happy SFMM didnt have any of the really stupid advertising like in Iron Wolf's station and Mindbender, poor poor Vipey On the plus side I'm really happy that they didnt totally sell out and brought the X2 themed ads back, and that the Termy ride ops got permanent costumes too!
  12. ^Why hello there, but the footer could easily be for one of these babies http://rcdb.com/ig594.htm?picture=4
  13. ^The micechat link should help, but fast passes are by far the best way to get things done, especially if you arrive at the park opening (which is early) you can run to get FP's for Space Mountain and ride Nemo before the ride gets too long. I got there at park opening once and we left at 7 because we had already done everything and were kinda getting bored lol. But you must know that Flash Passes have no expiration time on the day that you use get them, it says that you have to come back between x and x, but really you just have to come back after x. Edit: But you must have priorities In N Out>Disneyland!
  14. While I am pleased with the X2 videos and Termy costumes, I'm super P.O'd about Viper, that is just the lowest form of advertising (I guess (a) Schwarzkopf decided to get revenge on Arrow ) Why do I have a feeling that sometime in the future we're gonna get a dark ride that will take us through 'The Wonderful World of Boca Raton Timeshares!"
  15. I cant tell, but in the first picture of the coaster, is that a massive overbank to the left of the picture?
  16. ^...I stole that picture's use from an earlier post in this thread But I'm pretty sure that's why there's a major lack of support footers
  17. SFMM fanboys must be rejoicing as Ninja's competition for best suspended coaster gets picked off one by one. First Eagle's Fortress and whatever the hell happened to it, and now BBW, soon Ninja will rule all!
  18. ^Holy crap they brought back the wipeout videos?!!!! Major props to SFMM for that one, it makes the line so much more bearable to watch idiots fall on their @$$es!!!! Down with Miracle Whip
  19. ^Irvine California, not too far south of L.A
  20. The reasoning behind lack of lift footers is the lift hill's truss http://rcdb.com/ig103.htm?picture=20 Notice how there's one relatively weak looking support holding up the main section of the lift
  21. ^He's used to Tatsu though so he has a taste of a good flying coaster....although he hates Tatsu
  22. ^I think that's the first time I've ever seen the words "ford" and "reliable" in the same sentence, I mean the huge difference between Fords and B&M's are that B&M's DON'T kill you. But I completely get what you're trying to explain and was a good point and very similar to how I think about it
  23. I'd say hit up X2 first and then hit the park clockwise since the park is in a giant circle, but last time I went X2's line got decently short around 8, so maybe do Termy first, then go clockwise and hit up X2 around 8. BTW if you're truly an airtime addict...you've come to the wrong place.
  24. Best-Steel: X2 Wood: Termy!!! Worst- Steel: Kong in the back, or Hurricane at SCBB Wood: I havent been on Grizzly, but Ghostrider is just puuuure pain
  25. Maybe they're gonna load Lightning Racers on the back of a truck when nobody's looking and move it to Carowinds
