  4. Wait... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=41995&start=2430 (scroll down)
  5. I guess Knott's Berry Farm's TAKE THE TUNNEL will have to be on Pony Express. Just isn't the same.
  6. The thing is Disney has expensive admission so the Fast Pass is sort of like an extra perk included. SFMM has cheaper admission, so if you want you still have the choice to get a Q-Bot, but you obviously don't have to. I think Disney is one of very few parks that can get away with making pricey admission and including the Fast Pass with it...I just can't see that working with SFMM.
  7. That's good to hear I can probably get in the credits at SFA. Speaking of free parking at Knoebel's, I couldn't find any other parking prices on the parks' websites besides Lake Compounce. Anyone know what parking is like at Hershey and Dorney? (I have a parking pass for the SF parks).
  8. I don't know what to tell you; everyone has a different opinion on the subject. I have never had any trouble running to X2 right when the park opens. You get to the ride, wait a couple minutes for it to finish testing and get on the ride. As said on this page, there are times when X2 doesn't open with the park...but I have found that even if you have to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get on, it's still a lot better that what the line is in the afternoon/most of the day, plus you don't really have to wait in the afternoon heat. I would suggest getting to the park at opening, running to X2, and if it is broken down and won't open for a while, then if you want go to Tatsu/Deja Vu/Terminator. You still won't be far behind "the crowd". The reason I say this is to at least give it a chance, because I find running to another ride at park opening pointless because no line usually gets any longer than X2 at any time of the day. If you wait until closing or the evening, X2's line can sometimes be surprisingly short, but opening has still always worked best for me.
  9. About a month ago I booked my flights for my trip to the East Coast including Six Flags Great Adventure, Dorney Park, Knoebel's, Hershey Park, Six Flags New England, Lake Compounce and Six Flags America. I am also seeing a bit of NYC and going to a Phillies game while in the area. Some questions: 1. Sort of a typical question, but what are crowds at the parks usually like at this time of year? I'm pretty convinced that I have enough time at all the parks I'm going to (well besides SFA, which I'm running into for a couple hours before my flight home), just wondering what I should expect. 2. Like I said, I have very little time at SFA. On Tuesday the 29th, I plan on getting to SFA at park opening (10:30) but I will have to get up/leave early because I'm staying somewhere near SFGAdv/half way inbetween the two parks. Then I have to leave the park around noon to catch my flight in Philadelphia. My question is, what is traffic usually like in this area (SFGAdv area to SFA - SFA to Philadelphia) so I can figure out times of when I have to leave the park. I wouldn't expect the place to be very busy on a Tuesday morning in June, but what can I at least ride in about two hours? My main priorities are SROS, Joker's Jinx and Wild One, but I would like to get the rest of the credits too. 3. Are there any kiddie coasters at the parks that require you to steal a kid or any rides you have to be under 54" for completely? 4. Pandemonium at SFNE...I have motion sickness and I'm wondering whether or not I should bother with the ride. I have ridden Tony Hawk's Big Spin at SFDK, Sierra Sidewinder at KBF and Screamin' Demon at Castle Park, but I skipped Exterminator at Kennywood. How do these spinning coasters compare to Pandemonium? 5. What is worth riding at Knoebel's besides Phoenix, Twister and Kozmo's Kurves? I've heard the Haunted Mansion is a must, anything else besides spin-and-puke flats? I'm debating whether or not I should get the pay-one-price ticket. That's all I have for now; any additional help or answers are greatly appreciated.
  10. One month is like two years when you're 14. Amusement parks are always fun.
  11. Right. But you weren't there for "Media Day", you were there for the KROQ event. You were implying that the KROQ event, which you attended, was the same as "Media Day." Joey was just correcting you when you said "...at Terminator's Media Day (KROQ Night) the ride had an empty station..." as Media Day and the KROQ event were two totally seperate events. --Robb Yeah, what I basically meant was that it was the same day. The park's two main attractions running one train?
  12. ^ It is awesome. I don't think it should leave, nor do I think it is leaving. There's other ways the park can squeeze rides into the place.
  13. You mean May 21st? The ride hadn't opened to the public yet; it opened to the Media in the morning and from 6-10 there was the KROQ night (when X2 was empty).
  14. Yeah, X2 has definitely been a walk on before. I know at Terminator's Media Day (KROQ Night) the ride had an empty station and you could stay on, and on November 1st the station was empty pretty much the whole day (that's when atem's magical video was filmed: ). Speaking of KROQ night, does anyone know if they will be doing that again?

  16. 15/20. Missed the last one.
  17. Cool. I drove by Scandia about a month ago and saw the drop tower just sitting there, wasn't sure if it was open yet. I'll have to go check it out and give Scandia another chance.
  18. I can't help but feel a little scared for my feet when riding an Intamin Drop Tower. I like to tell myself it can't happen again, but really it can...that's part of what makes them so awesome though, they keep you nervous everytime. I definitely think riding them is worth that very, very small risk.
  19. I saw it, but I didn't do it. Apparantly Windows "cannot preform this operation."
  20. Just duck your head and sit on your hands. You might be okay.
  21. I know what you mean! It was 'pajama day' at school today...
  22. I have to go to SFMM and see the batfan now.
  23. I've been wanting GCI to do something this for a long time (not that their current coasters aren't amazing...I just want something even bigger than Troy), so glad it's finally happening! The fact that it's in China makes it a little more difficult to get to but I'll ride it eventually.
  24. Cool news! I'm a huge fan of X2 and I'm glad the Arrow/S&S 4D idea hasn't died yet. Kind of surprising that of all parks this goes to China Dinosaur Park...but I guess that's China for you. Now the only question is what is their rumored coaster for 2010? Or is it just this but pushed back a year?
