  1. This report is so janky. PS: Haaaaaht hoops.
  2. That's great to hear. Interesting that they tried it out on Revolution first, though.
  3. I love Disneyland's Splash Mountain...definitely my favorite. KBF's Timber Mountain is also great, and Perilous Plunge is awesome, but I won't count that... The worst is either Kings Island's Thornberry Flume, which is basically a short kiddie log ride, or Lagoon's Log Flume which consists of a few turns, small lift/drop, and then it's over. It's funny though, because the turns are hidden behind trees in a section of the park I hadn't seen yet, so I thought the ride did much more. 30 minutes plus a break down later, I realized how pointless it was.
  4. Out of the California GCIs, definitely Terminator! Such a great ride that I loved when I first rode it, and continues to move up on my list. I really like Roar, too. If it had the tunnels/theming Terminator has, and was newer, I think it could beat Terminator. It definitely has the length to be a perfect GCI; one thing Terminator lacks.
  5. Pretty much any Intamin 2nd Generation Freefall. I used to be scared of them but once I got on Pit Fall at Kennywood I was hooked...now I love all of them (Kings Island's is my favorite so far). Blue Fall and Giant Drop are right next to some of the best coasters in the world on my list of what rides I want to get on the most and ASAP.
  6. I love how Goliath (SFMM), Millennium Force and Magnum fly through their tunnels, but Beast takes the cake for the most epic tunnel experience... Voyage's triple-down is great also.
  7. Magnum XL-200 towards the back (unfortunately I didn't get the very back). Amazing!
  8. I'm not an inversion person, but I love zero-g rolls. Batman The Ride and Raptor have my favorites.
  9. User Control Panel - Board Preferences - Edit Posting Defaults.
  10. ^ I agree, the front is my favorite seat on Xcelerator...snapping cables or not. I also prefer Xcelerator to the straight up-and-down ride that is TTD. I was at the park for about an hour tonight to get my pass and get a ride on Xcelerator. Luckily, the pass processing line was only about 5 minutes! The rest of the park however was the busiest I've seen in a long time (but that doesn't really say much). Xcelerator had about a 35 minute line, and then I went over to Ghostrider to see the downstairs switchbacks filling up. Anyway, it was so nice to get back on Xcelerator. KBF's ride collection is now complete again.
  11. That's odd, I have had the exact different experience for this. I think your (the OP) ride experience on X2 is easily explainable by sitting on an outside seat. The first few times I rode X2, I sat towards the front and in an inside seat; loved it, had no idea what "roughness" people were talking about. Then I tried the outside seat (front row too!) and I realized what people were talking about (it was pretty unbearable, so I know exactly how you felt). I haven't ridden in an outside seat since, and I continue to have amazing rides on X2. It's a shame you didn't get to try the inside seat, because I can almost guarantee your opinion on the ride would have changed positively.
  12. Why did Knott's even go for such a smaller model? Size couldn't have been the issue...if Demon Drop could fit in that area, I'm sure a slightly larger Screamin' Swing could.
  13. They might be a little expensive, but they're pretty compact which is key for a lot of parks these days. All you have to do is fix the capacity issue and they're perfect coasters for any park...
  14. Which is why it should be improved, or changed, to the point where you can hear it but not have it screaming in your ear like it was on 5/21. If you can't hear it now, that doesn't mean they should just give up on it!
  15. ^^ Yeah, it probably won't last awhile. Viper had the hair gel ads all over the trains and its station just a few months ago and they're already gone.
  16. I've never really found a Knott's crew to be like that, or the video, or anything close to either. If they have I guess I've just blocked it out, which is a probably what a lot of other guests do. I know there wasn't any Silver Bullet trouble at WCB, and before that on my next most recent visit to KBF in January the Silver Bullet crew was having fun, but not to the point where it was annoying, and still keeping up good operations...just like how I remember Cedar Point being.
  17. I missed Son on Beast by less than week when I went to KI last year, and while I thought it would be interesting to ride, it wasn't a huge deal. I'm so glad that this is probably it for this ride, even though it is a missed credit, because it's just caused the park so much trouble and re-theming or re-tracking it just won't help the bad image it has gotten. I don't even know why it has lasted this long...
  18. YES, 7-1 (front row, back car). I'm not lying or trying to make you kill yourself, it's the best. I always avoided the back row and rode as far up as possible, but I finally tried it at WCB and it was great...and, believe it or not...the most enjoyable part of the train. At least try it. If you don't like it, go for the front...but the back completely changed my opinion on Ghostrider (positively)!
  19. This is pretty exciting, if true. I would go with a GCI, for every reason already stated, plus if your ballpark amount is 15 million you could make a great one, while still keeping it fairly compact and family friendly with a 48" height reqirement.
  20. I was just looking at SFMM's ride section on the website and I can't find Thrill Shot anywhere on there. I also don't remember seeing it operate for a while (it was definitely closed a week ago). Did I miss something?
  21. I also got this e-mail a couple weeks ago, and I'm definitely going to try to make it. It reminds me of the KROQ Night last year on that same day, in which there were 4 hours of ERT on Terminator, Deja Vu, Tatsu, X2, Goliath, Batman and Riddler's...which was awesome.
  22. The better question for me is why ride it again. It's just common sense...if there is a coaster that makes you sick, or beats you up, why put yourself through it again? If you don't feel this way about any coaster, you're lucky. There have been a few coasters that I just hated so much I wouldn't go near it again. Luckily, nothing at SFMM has really gotten to this point yet (no...not even Scream!, I just don't "enjoy" it).
  23. ^ To add to that...what is wrong with "hating" Scream? People hate X2, Goliath, Deja Vu, etc., but it's like if you hate Scream, you're a bad enthusiast. I don't like Scream either...for the same reason's atem stated. Yeah, it'd be the "main" attraction in a smaller park...so would the other larger coasters at SFMM that people hate. I don't see the difference.
  24. I'm hardly a well traveled enthusiast, but I do give Goliath a 9/10 and it's my fifth favorite coaster I've been on. I rank it ahead of Phantom's Revenge, Diamondback, Magnum XL-200 and Desperado.
