  1. I'm sure there's another side to this which we're not hearing, but it's still an interesting read. Kudos to USO on enforcing their dress code policy though! Father Thrown Out of Universal Studios Over T-Shirt
  2. Haha! I'm actually all for this! I'm probably one of the few people who actually misses Hammerhead! It's better than Riptide if you ask me!
  3. Interesting...I thought I had read a rumor somewhere (may have been here) that WOF's Windseeker wouldn't be the full 301 feet due to height restrictions, but I guess not! So if Knott's Windseeker is in fact going to become SteelHawk at WOF, then I guess this clears up the rumor as to whether or not the whole tower will be used (it was suggested that maybe not all the tower sections would be used)! What's also interesting is that they gave this one a different name. Guess Cedar Fair is hoping to end the "curse" associated with the Windseeker name!
  4. Neither. After the investigation, it was found that the victim was too large for the restraint. Here's a report about it, although there's no source listed: Intamin: Perilous Plunge rider was too big for restraints When the accident occurred, some of the guests who were on the ride stated that not all the seat belts had been checked, but other than this article, I can't find any evidence that this is true (again, no sources listed so I can't vouch for the validity of this article): Intamin says 'Plunge' is safe; riders say seat belts were not checked While nothing official has been released yet (as far as I'm aware), it's speculated that what happened recently on Texas Giant at SFOT is very similar, if not exactly the same, as what happened on Perilous Plunge.
  5. I just remembered that the 2010 WCB was the year they did the "TAKE THE TUNNEL!" soundtrack on Terminator/Apocalypse!
  6. It's true! The sad thing is that, even if they started now they'd still more than likely barely make (in other words, completely miss) the projected opening date!
  7. If no one is able to check, I'll be there on Friday! I'll be sure to get pictures. Glad to hear that it got some TLC!
  8. Haven't taken a hiatus, but I too am also sending everyone on 24 hour tasks and only checking it once a day. Hopefully a decent sized update will come soon...I would hate for this game to fall by the wayside like some of the other games I've played (although it already looks like this game is potentially headed that direction)!
  9. That's how faded the track has become! They have repainted the supports (for the most part, anyway), so maybe they'll get around to the track eventually. Can't imagine it being a high priority at the moment (given the expansion plus Windseeker and Haunt coming up), but I'm sure it'll happen!
  10. Any reports on if (or if not) this rehab (looking at the "long" in the rehab here) has made a difference to how Ghostrider is running right now? If anybody has ridden in the front seat lately (where you can see light brownish-yellow track if there is any), how much retracking has there been done during this long rehab? I rode the first train of the day on GR. My friend and I sat in the front car but during the ride I couldn't tell/see if there was retracking done. And yes, there's a huge difference from the front and back seats. I'd say the last 3 cars are death, but the ejector airtime was great And btw, all 3 trains were running, gold, copper, and silver. They were running all three trains at the same time? I was there yesterday as well...when I went on it (maybe about an hour or so after park opening), only gold and copper were running. There was a temporary delay while I was in line (I was downstairs), so it's possible that they may have pulled silver at that time. But I know for a fact that when I rode only 2 trains were running.
  11. I was there on Tuesday, and I found some interesting things in the Flags store: Yes, it's real. A SFMM YOLO shirt! Closeup...why? Because YOLO, that's why! On another note- YOLOmerch is in! YOLO keychains, iPhone skins, and magnetic frames! It's in 3D...also known as YOLOvision! More YOLOmerch! One of the shirt designs. Another YOLOshirt. Yet another YOLOshirt! Take some YOLOshots! Or an even bigger YOLOshot! It has the YOLOcoaster logo at the top, and says "Live it. Be it. Ride it." The "Thrill Levels" are: Fearless, Brave, Daring, Gutsy, and Bold. It's a YOLOpack! Reusable YOLOcup! Another YOLOcup! YOLOjacket! YOLOlogo. "Elite"? Really?
  12. It's the basically the same as before- that area was just repaved, so the ground has new blacktop, but that's about it. They did move the gift stand that was located to the right of Bigfoot's entrance- it now sits across from it. And the dryer was moved to where the gift stand used to be:
  13. Just so everyone knows, Whacking Day has been extended to the 16th! Check the info button (the ? icon) and look at the bottom. It now reads "This event ends on May 16th"! Also, thanks to whomever left me 57 eggs last night (Shawn?)! Thanks to you I was able to get Willie before the original deadline! With that said, who wants to trade? I'm roughly 2500 snakes away from the Coliseum and 5000 away from the Sleep-Eazy. Hoping we can help each other get to 12500 before next Thursday! I have about 200 eggs available at this moment.
  14. If anyone could leave me about 150 eggs in my town (1337me_69), I'd really appreciate it! I have 150+ eggs available I can give you in return.
  15. Got my survey last night. I was asked about Cookie Monster and Hot Wheels. One of the questions asked how I'd feel about a "Cookie Monster extreme coaster." Needless to say, I said I'd make a special trip for it! But then they asked the same question about Hot Wheels. If they really are going to attempt licensed rides again (that aren't DC or Looney Tunes), I think a Hot Wheels themed coaster would actually be pretty awesome! Actually, that might have been a cool idea for YOLOcoaster...
  16. I'm about 500 snakes away from getting Willie (I'm not going to get to the Coliseum or Sleep-Eazy), so if anyone has eggs they'd be kind enough to donate, I'd appreciate it! I still have to visit neighbors today, so I'll probably end up getting most of what I need, but if I could get maybe 50-100 eggs that would be great! Let me know if you want some eggs back. I don't have many (less than 100 right now), but I can give out eggs too!
  17. Not surprised. As a CM, I hear stuff like this all the time!
