Some of us have been there (myself included). Yes, you should definitely visit the park. You don't need a whole day, only a couple hours should be fine. Coaster is one of its kind. It might not look amazing from the outside, but once inside, it is CRAZY EJECTOR AIRTIME the whole ride. I am no exagerating, you'll be on your feet the whole ride. It's almost scary. There's a bus (public transit) that will get you there straight from downtown. It's really easy to go there. As for the city, it depends what you enjoy the most. Vancouver is very very varied. Make sure to go to Canada Place or where the convention center is (next door). Walk along the water. Enjoy the scenery. If you get a sunny day, it is beautiful! The mountains on one side and the skyscrapers on the other. Go in Yaletown for some good dining. Feel like being surrounded by thousands of shoppers, walk along Robson Street and Grandville. You can also go to the Capilano Suspended Bridge if you feel adventurous and like being in the nature(very touristic though). Well, I don't live in Vancouver, but have a second house there, so, I know a little bit about the city. I think Nrthwnd could help you a lot. He's been living there for a long time

Speaking of Nikki Sixx. Last summer, my bestfriend's stepmother, who is a massage therapists at a 5-star hotel in Montreal, got Nikki Sixx as a client. He was really nice and talked to her about his kids, showing her the tattoos he had on his legs of them. They talked music and even suggested some bands, including Sigur Rós (I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he liked this band.) My friend and I got to see him in concert later in the night. Mötley Crue still puts on an amazing show.

Missed Credits: Coasters you COULD have...
Franc replied to RIP Psyclone's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All the kiddie coasters exept for the ones I rode when I was a child or rode recently with a child. Boomerang at Knotts Berry Farm (didnt care about credits then) Boomerang at SFDK (didn't care about credits back then) Superman-The Escape at SFMM (close the 2 days I was there) 1 side of Colossus at SFMM(closed) Gwazi-Lion (closed) Superman-Ride of steel\Bizarro (closed; but got it a couple of weeks ago... 2 years after my initial trip to SFNE Kingda Ka (closed) A bunch of coasters at CW (didnt care about credits back then. Didnt ride the coasters that looked boring ex. Dragon Fire.) Many coasters wore taken down the year before I visited the park or built\opened the year\months after. -
Six Flags Tournament Of Thrills

No. It's not that great. But you know, gotta show some love to the first woody I have ever been on. I am VERY surprised that it actually is ahead by 16%. I guess the whole Province of Quebec is on Facebook. And BTW, I am really surprised that The Gazette (main English newspaper in Montreal) is stating that it is the highest wooden coaster in the world. However, in Le Journal de Montréal (The most read newspaper in Montreal) it was clearly stated that it was the tallest double track wooden roller coaster. -

Best And Worst Coaster In California
Franc replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have only been to 3 parks (SFMM-SFDK-Knotts). Best; Xcelerator Worst; Psyclone when it was there and Kong -
I actually don't know why I voted since I have only been on two of them: RR and Mantis. I did vote for RR but should have waited before voting or abstained from it.

Got free tickets to see Beyonce on the 21st. She puts a good show but something is lacking. Visually, she's not on Britney's and Madonna's level yet. But it's coming.

1- I've been trowing my change in a shoe box for a year and just counted how much money I had; almost $350. Going to do the same thing for the next 12 months. I get very happy when it comes to counting. 2- I go to bed really late for absolutely no reason. (I'm on the East Coast... look at what tine I posted this, it'll give you an idea) 3- I'll study at what is considered by many the best college in the province of Quebec, getting my International Baccalaureate Diploma in Health Sciences (hoping to become an optometrist). It stresses me out. I'll have no life. My books will become my best friends, but I made the choice to get into that program so... shut up and live with it. 4- I am thinking about taking Bartending Classes at the Master School of Bartending next year (18 being the legal age here). But I'm not sure right now if I could handle the night life. 5- I am spoiled. My mom calls me Il DIVO (which means "Male Diva" in Italian)

I am twice sorry. 1- For bringing back an old topic 2- For the double post (even though there's a month and a half between the two). I started The Four Agreements, but it's really not my kind of thing. It's not a long book at all (about 150 pages max), but don't know if I'll finish it. (I'm done with the first quarter). I am currently reading Life of Pi.

New Effects On TDK At SFGAdv
Franc replied to Retro_Gaga's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ See how things can be so different from a person to the other. I thought that the ride was much more fun that I thought it would be reading at first. Yes it's a Wild Mouse...but still I enjoyed it, more than any other. If you don't focus on the track, it's barely visible (especially if you sit in the back). It's missing theming, I agree, but again, I thought that there would be a lot less based on people's reviews. They whole time, I could hear the horn and was waiting for a truck to come our way... But when we hit the brake, I forgot about it and go scared. Totally unexpected. Still, don't get me wrong. TDK isn't one of my favorite coasters at all, but yes, I did enjoy it and thought it was somewhat of a great addition to park (clearly missing family rides). -

^^ I used to be a FAN. I do agree that they make good music, but I don't know, I have to be in the mood now. I mainly don't listen to "whatever you want to call their style of music", but once in a while, it's good to get some of the anger inside of me out. One of my favorites is "In Regards to Myself".

Someone got it before me... Saw them 2 or 3 times in concert. Yes, I used to be a fan.
