  1. ^^ You should get a prize for the work done on the kid then. Only dozen or so more to go.
  2. Amazing to think swine flu only trails the regular flu by about 35,999 deaths in the US. The school where my fiancee works was missing around 25% of kids and had industrial sized bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere. People walk away from me because I get a cough each allergy season. Simply amazing what 24/7 news can do on a slow news week.
  3. ^^^ I actually have no problem with the locker policy. There is really no need for people to bring 2 backpacks of the stuff to the park anyways. On top of that, walking in exit lines, I've had objects flying at me that could have caused big problems had they hit. I've seen cell phones on Raging Bull, camera bags on Viper at SF Great America and last Saturday saw a girl get a cut due to around 2 bucks in quarters flying at her on Batman: The Ride at SF STL. If nothing else, it prevents people from dodging objects or trying to jump the fence to get them back.
  4. ^ You mean like at SF Great America where season pass parking cost 1 cent more then a season pass? Or single day is $15 for the back lot around 30-40 rows back and $25 for the front one? I just paid $320 for 2 Cedar Fair passes. Yet, at that price, I still feel better in they did not charge me $80 for the ticket and $80 for parking like Six Flags does. We also did not have any printing fees when I bought them online, so I feel better already. Just charge it to me upfront and don't pull a ticketmaster.
  5. For those that said Cedar Fair charges it, no fee at King's Island for a Platinum Pass.
  6. With Cedar Point, remember the 5th is the first day of Coaster Mania, so you might see an increase of people there. If you have a Cedar Fair SP, you can get some free stuff and ERT.
  7. ^ Children are great...if you can give them back after a few hours. < Loves RC Cola V Is a secret ACE member.
  8. Took it from Springfield IL to Chicago Union a few times for the last year. Defiantly worth it for the 30 bucks round trip when gas was around 4 bucks a gallon. Are you going to any coaster enthusiast events in the rest of the year?
  9. WTF??? I'd hate it if that happened when I was in a Monopoly contest, too. Though at least you had a good story to share with us all on this ever useful thread. I was pissed for about 10 minutes then said "It's just a game" and moved on. It is Hasbro and Pogo, my hopes for a smooth tournament were slim.
  10. ^ The two guys are legends in Mexico for both wrestling and bad acting < Just had Wendy's, yay Wendy's V Is trying to set-up a tent indoors
  11. I just got an ad in the mail for some guy running for local school board. The guy have zero education experience outside of, in his words not mine, "helping his kids with homework," his qualifications are being a Family Association Pancake Breakfast chairman and his main qualification is "A position on the Board of Education would be my contribution to the important job of providing our children the quality education we all value." The simple fact a tool like this can pick the education makes me long for the days of farmers picking the education where I used to live. At least they asked professionals for help. And people wonder why US education blows.
  12. I'm not even sure if I own a decent tie any more, unless a three stooges one count. Have you ever watched PRIDE Fighting Championships?
  13. ^Wish I could have gone and the avatar is of El Santo and Blue Demon acting < Is trying to figure out how to protest someone running for school board V Likes the movie Wall-E
  14. ^ Stupid down pointing arrow < Just got season 3 & 4 of the original Twilight Zone v will eat Panda Express soon
  15. Have not tried the service, but just picking up a package at the post office required a signature and photo ID.
  16. ^ Had a bat once sneak into my college dorm under the door at 3 am < Hoping Six Flags St. Louis avoids rain on Sunday V Wishes they were at Disney World for a Dole Whip
  17. ^ almost 2 years from college < wishes the degree actually helped find a job V loves spinning wild mouse coasters
  18. The boss on the straight away after the first drop and before the double down is awful. While not a coaster, the Fright Fest welcome machine/pumpkin head at SF Great America is way too loud. You can hear every word clearly from the McDonalds that is about 3/4 a mile away from the entrance to the parking lot (about a mile plus from the entrance and there are many things between the two.)
  19. I participated in the 2009 US Monopoly Championships semi-finals today on Pogo. Everyone plays 2 games and the top 23 scores on a point system move on. In my first game, the PC accepted a trade that I clicked reject, which cost me game one. Not only that, but the moderator, aka the paid employee, of the chat was not there as she was "taking a break" 20 minutes into the first game of the day when we got no break. In game two, a player got disconnected and the computer took over. The computer proceeded to un-mortgage then mortgage then un-mortgage all his properties until he has no cash. The the computer rolls for the guy, bankrupting him on my opponents property giving me no chance. Mind you, we were not allowed to accept or make trades with the computer. So a big thanks to the programmers at Pogo's Monopoly for screwing me (and others who had problems) out of a trip to the US Monopoly finals in DC next month.
  20. Yes, it's why I went with a netbook over a new desktop. Do you drink diet soda?
  21. ^ Not a chance, the sheriff just changed parties from Dem to Rep when the local Dem candidate for US House of Reps lost...he is the best of the bunch. Do you own a Netbook computer?
  22. It means you look like a damn hippie. As much as it shouldn't matter, it does. I've had hair down to my middle back, but people just saw me as a hippie. One hair cut later and they listen to me more, which is a very sad statement about people.
  23. The worst job I had was part of a school photography company. I trained there a grand total of 5 days then quit. In 5 days, they taught us how to hustle kids in grade school, to give each kid only 25 seconds and during out breaks, who sold the best coke to keep us awake. If that was not bad enough, we got no over time, no pay for drive time (most jobs 2-3 hours away and had to stop at office to equipment) and if a light bulb went out, it came out of your pocket. They actually paid me for my week there, but got my social security number wrong for taxes.
