To be fair, there's a certain charm for some that the theaters provide. It's a traditional, albiet expensive nowadays, night out that's good for most people. To be honest, that's really the only place I feel comfortable watching most movies. My rant? Life. Why is it that as things are supposed to get more easy, more relaxed, and more simple, the new things have created a society of hurried, arrogant, self-righteous pricks who don't have time for fun in the little things anymore while parading around under the guise of trying to be helpful and efficient. I guess that's a part of growing up and realizing what the world is really like, but still, it pains me.

Christmas wishlist 2010/Official list?
Ace Of Spades replied to SymphonyWorld's topic in Random, Random, Random
Eh, I'm not really even thinking about Christmas this year, I've got too much else going on. Regardless, I wouldn't mind sliding the following down a chimney near me: Little Big Planet 2 Hangover, Inception, Ocean's 11, Quantum of Solace, or Avatar's Recut on Blu-Ray ... Wow, I really am not in the spirit this year. -
I'm on one of my many "character highs" right now. Basically, when I find a fictional character that I tend to like or find relateable, I start to take on their voice and personality traits for a couple of days. You can usually tell what character I'm on my checking my avatar at the time, so look to your left for who I am right now. Call it schizophrenic, multi-personality immaturity, or what you will, but I love it!

Geauga Lake Discussion Thread
Ace Of Spades replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just went through the Geauga Lake site you guys linked to...checked out a couple big topics, read some commentary... Wow. I mean, just, seriously, wow. I used to think some people on here tended to lean to the fanboy side of things... They are NOTHING compared to the people on GLT. Where do I even start?! These people have banded together to do precisely jack. Seriously. Any conversation about anything that might even CONSIDER the possibility of anyone ever liking anything about Cedar Fair or its staff is burned like a witch. A large number of them support Kat. And they'll even go OUT OF THEIR WAY to avoid doing anything to benefit the Cedar Fair parks (so they claim), and yet they still frequent WWK, which is, guess what, A CEDAR FAIR PARK. IDIOTS. Whew...I need to calm down...okay, in all fairness...the site's a joke. Hell, I'm not a big supporter of that many sites, I don't even think this site here is the almighty lord of theme park sites (if I don't pick favorites, I don't get called a fanboy), but what they're doing there is just...damn. Oh, we were talking about Kat again? Carry on. -
Man, third time on the page. >< Anyway, mine's now (and will probably stay as) Tack from The Thief and the Cobbler. The movie sucked like nothing else, but Tack as a character was just so...awesome!

TPR and Theme Park Artwork
Ace Of Spades replied to sfmmFREAK's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Just when I thought your work couldn't get any more stunning...just...I'm floored! Actually, have you considered doing prints of your artwork before? I'd buy a copy of both! -
^Happy birthday! It's (barely) snowing today. It's pretty lame, but I call win!

I'm sure you know about it/have been, but the Arizona State Fair has one of the best flatride collections I've ever seen at a fair. -

Heard from my parents that we might be moving back to SoCal (I lived with one side of the family there, and now the other side is looking at an apartment in the same city)...that would be so great.

Re-discovered my favorite podcast! (Coasterbuzz...yeah, yeah, I know not a lot of people like them, but I do, so deal with it) Gotta admit it's good to get back into the swing of listening to these every week. Also, because I need to be random...BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA -
^No kidding. What's worse is this is the first I've heard of it.

Cloverdale [RCT2]
Ace Of Spades replied to Corkscrewy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The sad thing is, that station (version 1) looks exactly like one of the ones I call my best. I guess I've lost my edge. Anyway, I like the coaster a lot, and the first drop looks pretty sweet to me! I see what you were going for, and I think you pulled it off pretty well. My only advice would be for the last part, just make it a steep drop and then maybe add a small little bunny hill or something. That's what I'd do, I suppose. -

[RCT] Fantasy Village

Man, these parks...just...stunning can't even begin to describe them. The best and best looking parks on TPR imo. As for new coasters...a Vekoma flyer maybe (only if it's in the bench you used, of course).
