Bumping this to the top of the page, since it obviously isn't being read. -

That was the only other part that bothered me a little bit, too. I don't mean to sound harsh (especially since I can't make anything in No Limits that's close to this), but from my experience in other projects I've posted on YouTube, I find real criticism to be much more helpful and refreshing than "ZOMG ur teh best!" I also forgot to mention how much I love the quick turns that come right before the hops. It felt like the ride was rampaging through the forest at incredible speeds. Also, I wasn't sure what to call some of the inversions since they seemed to be a cross between a corkscrew and a zero g roll. I say again, fantastic ride. -
I second that. Much MUCH worse than Mean Streak.

9/10 I loved the setting, originality, and support work on this ride. Being picky, though, I do have one minor complaint. Pretty much every inversion (other than the vertical loop) was a zero-g roll or something very close to one. It got a little old after a while. Other than that, fantastic ride. -
Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
MrX8991 replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was in the front seat also my first time and saw the drop, but it still caught me off guard because I didn't know what was going to happen. It would have been better if I were in the back, but oh well. At least it's a hell of a lot better than most coasters, that just meander around with nothing to look at... Also, to each his own, but how is an animatronic Imhotep (2 actually) that looks exactly like a real mummy/person moving around "not that good?" If anything, it's some of the best animatronics I've seen on a ride. Meh, can't please everyone...some people are so picky and will still complain NO MATTER WHAT. When I went, Imhotep's mouth was moving side to side, not up and down. Somehow, I doubt that was working properly. Oh well. Although I never find audio-animatronics to be as realistic as some other people, I still like them better than slapping up a video screen and calling it a day. -
Is anybody really surprised? This whole ride has been one disaster after another. I could understand if they got the ride built and then had delays due to technology, but all of the problems seem to be in the basic construction of the coaster. I mean, the lift hill issues, the firehouse issue, this banner, the cracks in the welding, this is pretty much just shotty construction. When I was there in mid-July, the other side of the lift hill structure had chipped paint and much of the ride had scratches on it upon close inspection. I smell a law suit of some kind on the horizon.

Way to spoil the ending... If you read the last two pages, everything I said has already been mentioned. -
Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
MrX8991 replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've already posted on here earlier, but I've got two more good/bad endings. Good: Kraken at Sea World Orlando. I love the tunnel straight into the corkscrew. Bad: Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Orlando. I really don't care for this ride. I think it is mainly because Universal played it up as the greatest ride ever, and I thought the effects simply weren't that good. The false ending didn't fool me because I was in the front row and could see a relatively big drop right in front of me, and the stop was so abrupt that it was painful and I knew that a stop like that couldn't be the real ending. Besides, since when does glass breaking equal being splashed with water? Anyways, the real ending is even worse. "Hey, welcome back! I hope you enjoyed yourself. I would have enjoyed this interview a lot more if I had gotten my cup of coffee!" Seriously, what were they thinking? -

I think this is one of the best words of advice. One problem you have is that you're building rides that are way too advanced for beginners of No Limits. As for pre-fab elements, I understand using elements that come with the game, but ripping them out of somebody else's ride is terrible. I mean, you "only" stole one element (not counting the pre-fab top hat)? That's about 10% or more of your ride. That's like if I wrote a 10 page report for school and I plagiarized "only" one page of the report, I'm sure my teacher wouldn't let it slide, and that's putting it mildly. Plus, as was stated, the ride was horribly over supported, except for the top hat which most likely would have collapsed from the stress put on it. You had brakes right after the top hat, which defeated the point of having the launch that fast and the top hat that tall. As for the parts you actually made, well, see the g force meter at the top? When the g's shoot up to 10 and are red, that's not a good thing, unless you're literally building a death machine. To summarize: 1) Don't steal work 2) Start smaller 3) Pay attention to the g forces 4) Don't kill people on your ride 5) Take more time to smooth out the ride. Good rides take many days/weeks to get right. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

Actually, it does. It's known that 12E is on the side of DT in blue paint. It's on the Carowinds Teaser box in blue paint as well. 12E stands for the 12th coaster themed by Eric B. Clakf or, if you put it all together, it makes EBCLAKF, which is ALSO on the Carowinds Box. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm?entry=f64f6de4-a425-4f1a-a853-5998ec97e3aa I still think that we're all thinking too much into this. I honestly think when they wrote IZ 12ENUF, it was simply referring to Carowinds' number of coasters. If I'm wrong and there is this huge tie in with Disaster Transport, I'll eat my non-existant hat. Besides, back to Kings Dominion. Has anybody seen any more track recently? -

IZ 12ENUF = Is twelve enough? Carowinds currently has 12 roller coasters. All that says is Carowinds is adding a roller coaster, which everybody already knew. That has nothing to do with Cedar Point. -
B&M and 240 feet...
MrX8991 replied to itsasamccormick's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That may just be the single best post I've seen on any forum ever. Anyways, I think the answer to why B&M won't go over 240 feet is a combination mainly of the fact that no park has paid them to, and I think the weight of the chain may also be a factor. Plus, you really don't need a coaster to go over 240 feet to make a good ride anyways. -

I've been working on a boardwalk park similar to Indiana Beach. I've never been to Indiana Beach (I'd love to someday), but the idea of a park that's short on space on the water that is essentially built in layers interests me. This is the first park I've ever used some custom scenery and custom rides in. Okay, I have a small problem. I had to do a little editing using 8 Cars because for whatever reason, the guests weren't using both entrances (there's one for the front and one for the back of the park). I didn't have any problems until recently, where guests are getting stuck after leaving the park. Every once in a while, a few guests "break" out of the group and actually leave the map. I don't really consider it a major problem, though, as people can still enter the park, and the park rating isn't effected since they've already left the park. Any ideas on how to fix it? Close-up of some of the rides, including the park's wooden coaster, Crystal Comet. Overview of Jefferson Piers. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Wicked Twister is over 200 feet and is thus the world's first hyper inverted coaster. -

I think the clues mean one of two things. 1: They're throwing out random companies that don't have anything to do with this project. 2: They're simply sparking interest in the project which will inevitably lead to most people being disappointed in the actual project, whatever it may be. In short, they amount to pretty much nothing, so don't pay attention to them. -

Personally, I was wondering why everybody was thinking it was a space theme in the beginning considering the teaser for the announcement on their website had tire marks in the background. See? -

His problem is that he's actually trying to clean up the grammar on this board. It's in the rules of the site to use proper spelling and grammar, and he's enforcing the rules. Poor grammar and spelling plague many boards, but this is one of the few places where I've actually seen proper English rules enforced and I love it. -
I did enjoy your trip report, but I have something to clear up. There's one problem with your Underground review: it was built in 1996. It's not that old. I still remember being a kid and seeing all of the commercials for the underground. They made it seem like the ride was the most thrilling ride on the face of the planet.
