  1. Agreed! I had no idea these people existed. I mean, watching a show is one thing, but obsessing over it and collecting the same toys that my 5 and 6 year old GIRLS play with is something else. Weirds me out on a whole other level. Oh, and the updates were awesome. Hilarious stuff!
  2. First, a little background: Me, my husband, and a few friends of ours are working towards starting our own community theatre group here in Gadsden, Alabama. We're aiming for doing our first show (Brighton Beach Memoirs) at the end of August. Eventually we want to apply for non-profit status (totally different situation I'll need help with!), but until we get ourselves established and get a few shows under our belts, we're working as a fundraiser for a local historical society. We've come up with a name, The Yellowhammer Theatre. Here's where I need graphic design help. We need a logo. I can draw, but when it comes to computer graphic design, etc., my knowledge is extremely limited. Basically all I can do is download new fonts. Does anyone have any free time and want to take a stab at coming up with something? I can't really compensate you other than free theatre tickets if you're ever in Gadsden, Alabama, and probably a poster signed by the cast. But, hey, that poster may be worth something someday! And of course we would give you credit for the design in any programs, etc. We just want it to say The Yellowhammer Theatre, and incorporate a yellowhammer in it somehow. Any takers?
  3. Great stuff, guys! The Kingda Ka pictures are awesome! Looking forward to more.
  4. Beautiful scenery! Although I am afraid of heights, so I'm not quite sure I could do it.
  5. Wow, that looks delicious! I LOVE pulled pork. I like a tangy sauce with a little bit of sweetness to it. And by the way, view of your yard is beautiful!
  6. We went to the drive-in Saturday to see a Battleship/Avengers double feature. We really weren't all that interested in seeing Battleship, but it came on first so we watched it anyway. It was pretty good. Nothing that blew me away, but it wasn't terrible. The acting wasn't phenomenal or anything. I was disappointed that Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgard didn't get that much screen time, though. But it was worth it to sit through Battleship to see Avengers. We loved it! I agree with whoever said Mark Ruffalo was a great Banner. And, of course, I love Robert Downey, Jr. Everyone was great, actually. I'm sure we'll be owning this one.
  7. Looks like an awesome trip! Never been to New York, myself, but hopefully one day. I haven't seen Newsies (the movie), but I LOVE Evita. Not so sure about a musical of Ghost.
  8. We don't even own a grill of any kind, so this definitely intrigues me!
  9. Wow, a chocolate festival that actually has chocolate! Who'd have ever thought of that! Not the people in Alabama, unfortunately. Glad your chocolate festival actually had chocolate to partake of. Looks delicious!
  10. Congrats on the win, Brian! Nice job! Big Mike, glad you and Megan made it there and back safely. And congrats to Megan on #300!
  11. Yay! I'm glad you read all three! I need another good series now, too. And no one say Twilight! Not gonna happen!
  12. Hey Pretty Mama - The 23 String Band
  13. Perhaps she had a piercing that gravity was getting the better of.
  14. Always love to see your pictures!
  15. Before I got the Hunger Games trilogy I was on a classics trend. Re-read all the Jane Austens, plus The Woodlanders, Free Air, A Room With a View, Jane Eyre, Villete. All public domain, hence free e-books for my Zune.
  16. You HAVE to read all three! I just finished the third book last week and I'm seriously thinking about reading all three again soon. They are that good. Two and three are just as good as the first one. Even my husband was totally engrossed in all three books. We only bought one copy of each and took turns reading. Luckily he works third shift so he would read when he got home in the morning and I would read when he left for work at night. We both are so excited for the next two movies now! To be considered a YA series, the books have a good share of violence and gore.
  17. I love the proposal! What an awesome idea. I bet she was shocked when she saw that photo.
  18. I have to join in with those who pass on the SCAD tower! I'm such a big chicken with heights, even secured in a coaster, so there's no way I could just fall like that. It gave me chills just looking at the pictures! Love the Custer State Park scenery. And the baby burros are so cute! Love that you can just get out and interact with them!
  19. I was going to say the same thing as Nicole! Looks like a ghetto fair on the beach. Thanks for showing us all these obscure places, Big Mike!
  20. Wow, what a beautiful place! Thanks for showing us!
  21. Danny and I went to see The Hunger Games a couple of weekends ago. We loved it. You do have to get used to the shaky camera gimmick, which is totally unnecessary at some points. But overall we thought it was great. We both had read the book beforehand, though. We rented Drive last weekend. I had mixed feelings about it. Danny was enthralled with it. I thought the storyline was a little bipolar. First it's a heist story with him playing the getaway driver; then no, wait, it's a romance with him falling for the girl next door; oh no, just kidding, it's a racing movie, he's going to be a race car driver; no, kidding again, it's a mob movie. I stayed awake for the whole thing, though, which really says something coming from me. I hated Country Strong, too! I had heard several people say it was such an amazing movie, but I was bored to death. Terrible music, terrible story.
  22. Great stuff, Erik! All of these Dollywood reports make me want to go so bad!
