  1. Got this for drawing an ostrich about to get run over by a roller coaster, but I like to think this was my birthday present from Theme Park Review (turned 21 yesterday) because this is hands down the most awesome thing I've ever gotten in the mail (next to my Chrishankwansivus gift, but that just shows how awesome TPR is)!! Contains: TPR Delicious Mints TPR Pen Coaster Expedition Volume 7 Robbie Knievel Tattoo Flamingo Land Map Wonderland Fun Park Brochure EPCOT Map Legoland Billund Map HUGE Magic Mountain Map Aussie World Map (and event info) Not one, but two Movieland Park Maps Adventureland Map Gulliver's Map Camelot Theme Park Map (since it closed, I think this is the only way I'd ever get my hands on one) And my favorite.....a Knott's 2012 West Coast Bash Shirt Thank you so so much!!
  2. HOLY @*%~!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULXED3b31T8
  3. Dropkick Murphys - "The State of Massachusetts"
  4. Trailblazer at Hersheypark in either 1999 or 2000.
  5. My older sister is convinced that I rode sooperdooperLooper back in 1999, but I have absolutely no memory of that. Unless proven otherwise, Scorpion was my first.
  6. A couple weeks ago, I finished reading One For the Money by Janet Evanovich. My girlfriend recommended it to me because I've been looking for good comedies to read. To be honest, I thought that the plot was ok. It sort of played out like a slightly more sensual episode of CSI. But what really saved it was the strength of the lead character. The character, Stephanie Plum, has a very distinct, very odd, very different personality; and that was where most of the good comedy came from. The supporting characters also left a good impression on the book. Unfortunately, it's not really the kind of funny novel I'm really looking for; so I probably won't be getting as into the series as my girlfriend. I am currently reading America Again: Re-Becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't by Stephen Colbert. Parts of this book have me in tears from laughing so hard. So far, I think it's funnier than I Am America: And So Can You. If you love the Colbert Report, then you'll love this book. As much as I'm liking America Again, I still want to pick up a good, funny novel/work of fiction. Anybody have any recommendations?
  7. ^It looks like Tidal Wave in Ocean City, Maryland. It's definitely a Boomerang, though.
  8. On a POV of Patriot on Youtube, one person left a comment saying, "I believe that your camera is upside down." Part of me thinks he is just being a smart@$$, but that part of me is usually wrong.
  9. Rise Against - "Broken Mirrors"
  10. My closest coaster is also Hell Cat at Clementon Park. Oddly enough, I have never ridden it.
  11. I absolutely love Bizarro's (SFNE) layout! To me, it's the perfect combination of out-and-back and twister. Sure the spaghetti bowl may not be the most compact, but I love the way all the elements interact with each other; and the dive into a mist-filled tunnel gives it plenty more points. Also on my list: Gwazi. It's a shame the coaster beats the living snot out of you because the layout really is one of the most beautiful things I've seen coasters do. (A lot of GCIs are making the list!!)
  12. System of a Down - "Science"
  13. With the Nor'Easter coming up there have been so many Finding Nemo jokes on Facebook.
  14. Filter - "Hey Man, Nice Shot"
  15. ^^That hill over Rolling Thunder on El Toro was definitely the first one that came to mind. Also, the first hill on Skyrush; going over an 80 foot crest after a 200 foot drop
  16. Such a perfect milestone video. It made me laugh, it really shows the awesome colors of Theme Park Review; not so sure where the ostrich sadism derives from, but I think I can learn to play along
  17. On the southeast corner of campus, they are putting together a tower crane on a construction site. When I saw the pieces of the crane (in the triangular shaped beams) scattered amongst mounds of dirt, literally the first thought that went through my mind was, "are we getting a skycoaster?"
  18. Just sent mine in! STAR JET #1!!! No, I generously put Star Jet at 90/103. But here are my top five: Millennium Force Cedar Point OH,y,n,1 Bizarro SF New England MA,y,y,2 Skyrush Hersheypark PA,y,y,3 Favorite Wood Coaster Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,4 Nitro Six Flags Great Ad NJ,y,y,5 These are the "I freaking love this ride" coasters; after Nitro, all the great coasters seem to just clump together, so I really don't have a definitive top 10 list. As for the bottom five: Fav Powered `Coaster' Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,99 Fav Zamperla Volare Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,100 Ninja Six Flags Over Geo GA,y,n,101 Fav Zyklon Loop Any Park Anywhere **,y,n,102 Shockwave Kings Dominion VA,y,n,103 This is my first steel poll ballot, so I'm really excited to see how it turns out!
  19. The Black Keys - "Howlin' For You"
  20. About four hours ago, it was cloudy out with the forecast predicting clouds for the rest of the day. When I took the garbage out ten minutes ago, there was about a quarter inch of snow covering everything, and the stars were out o_O
  21. I don't usually jump on the meme wagon, but this thread has been a lot of fun. So I'll give it a shot. (Also, for some reason memegenerator is not working for me. I had to find another one)
  22. I recently watched Top Secret!. I remembered seeing it as a kid, but it has been maybe about ten years since the last time I played it, so I had forgotten just about everything except for some of the more memorable moments. I'm a fan of the Zucker Abrahams Zucker movies, but everyone only ever seems to mention the big ones like Airplane and The Naked Gun that I almost forgot that Top Secret even existed. Let me just say that it's been a few days since I watched it, but my throat and my face are still sore from laughing so hard. The movie is every bit as funny as Airplane and The Naked Gun, nearly every single joke got a big laugh from me, the characters were very likable, and the storyline was surprisingly easy to follow. If you had told me a few days ago that there was a movie combining war spies with an up-and-coming rock and roll star, I would have instantly told you that the movie would suck. But in my opinion, Top Secret is not only underrated, but an example of a parody/spoof movie done right; I just wish there were more of those in this day and age.
