  1. "I am Cornholio! TP for my bunghole!"
  2. Looks like you had good seats and great weather, luckily it was an evening game! Thanks for the photos, its the only way I'll probably ever see the ballpark.
  3. I think if you got arrested, the cop had a pretty good reason for doing so and you're therefore guilty! I also think that the retired, unemployeed, and welfare people should be the first ones chosen for jury duty since they've got nothing better going on!
  4. Guy is gay!? He told me he wanted to snuggle because it was cold outside and it would keep us both warm... I feel so violated right now But man is he hot, and he knows how to change a tire!
  5. I don't know about that. GCI is building a coaster at Toverland next year, I didn't know that! Maybe CCI got back together and is secretly building a coaster at Valleyfair. Or perhaps its GCI. Or maybe its a B&M. Perhaps its a spinning coaster. Or maybe its not a coaster at all but a monorail. Whatever it may be, the suspense is killing me! I've put off my trip to the VF! until next year now just because of this mystery attraction. Whatever it may be, I'll ride it! (unless its an Evolution run at super slow speeds)
  6. I wonder if they sell Disney tickets in those stores. I could use 1 for my trip next weekend, and I'll be up near Darien Lake this weekend. I could just swing by there to pick them up, it'd be a lot easier than going to the mall
  7. ^Its gotta be really hard to tie her shoes though!
  8. If my ride on Robb will count as a credit, then I'm totally booking the flight right now! Looking into flight now on American, beauty! The times fit perfectly, but stills boy its expensive. Its probably worth flying out for, I've never been there for one of your parties, and I want to ride Tatsu before the park is paved (not even counting on getting on Deja Vu anymore). Who cares if I'm flying back out to SoCal on September 3rd. Lift and wind may make the flight there a little bit longer, but that's just more time to sleep before having to be back at work! If my work schedule permits me to leave early to make the flight, I'll be there so put me down as a "maybe"!
  9. Tonight my mom took off from work, so I decided to take her to Canal Street for some good food (and some Legacy beers for myself!) And Mom went with the Filet Mignon since she wasn't paying! I had the Italian chicken with capers and artichokes And I followed up with Legacy's Bixler's Alt since they were out of the Triple H (Heavy Handed Hops) As well as a cup of tomato dill soup They were sadly out of the Midnight Wit, so I had to go with the Reading Pils They've got various stuff on tap, but I'm mainly interested in the locally brewed Legacy goods Here's Canal Street Pub, located on Canal Street. Clever huh!?
  10. I'd much rather hang out with Guy than Ryan. At least Guy's posts have a point, most of the time.
  11. Sweet! I'm looking forward to hearing more about this, such as maker, design, etc. If it looks good, I hope its on the agenda for the TPR Japan Trip. If its not, there's always expensive taxi rides.
  12. ^Yup, Wizards Cavern used to be Lovebug at Palisades, and before that it was Broadway Trip at CP. There were pictures of it in the CP museum. Glad they're bringing a similar ride back to the area, though I'm curious how "ready" it will be for summer, since the summer is pretty much more than half over. Looking forward to the construction pictures.
  13. Tonight much to my surprise I came home to find a copy of the new TPR DVD waiting for me. Since the wife was at the movies with her friends, I decided to sit back and enjoy the latest installment from the Alvey clan. Once again, they've packed 3 discs in 1 box; containing the usual park experience and antics put to music, the POV video, and the video contest entries. With a beer and some watermelon, I enjoyed the blockbuster of the summer. I only watched the actual "Around the World with Theme Park Review" video so far, so I'll comment on that, but won't spoil it for everyone. The video starts off strong, basically emphasizing how insane this group is, jet-setting from California to Tokyo, England, Hong Kong, Vegas and all points in between. While its a different type of video, concentrating less on the wacky hijinx of its supporting cast (like me, I'll sign autographs), it focuses more on a select few, with the always "did he live near power lines and eat paint chips as a kid" Robb leading the cast. The funniest part is the fact that this is their "off-season" video, as they spent a good majority of their summer traveling across Europe with some friends. Well known parks featured in this video include Celebration City, Mt Olympus, SFGAm, Busch Gardens Tampa and Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea, but also include new comer Hong Kong Disneyland and cameos from Vegas (including High Roller), Blackpool, Dania Beach, and a whole assortment of random Japanese goodness. As awesome as the Japan video from 2 years ago was, this one is way more obscure and cooler (literally, as there is even snow on the ground!). For anyone debating whether or not to go to Japan the next time TPR offers it to you, this video will have you booking your flights shortly afterwards. If you've enjoyed the past TPR assortment of video goodness, you won't be disappointed in this installment. While it doesn't contain too much more than Robb, Elissa, and a few "supporting cast", the craziness you've grown to expect is still packed into 69 minutes of fun and enjoyment to be enjoyed by the whole family (even your senile grandmother and crazy Uncle Karl!). The main selling point though is the really strange Japanese parks and coasters that are rarely seen (and the Japanese TV footage is worth the black market selling price of your left kidney alone!). If there is anything to hate, its the fact that don't have the vacation time to do all this wackiness with them!
  14. For some reason I decided to stick with Victory beers tonight. After my selection, I'm almost not sure why! This is my emotionless face, which is how this beer made me feel Next up was the Dark Lager, what I used to drink frequently Which really was too heavy for this season Started off with the Moonglow
  15. Great photos, Mark. You sure know your stuff when it comes to rides and such!
  16. Maybe someday I'll have enough vacation days that I'll be able to stay at KennyKon thru the night, but the last 2 years I've really lucked out with no traffic on the Turnpike for the drive home. Made it in less than 3.5 hours on Sunday! But I know if I waited until Monday to drive back, there'd probably be construction and conjestion, etc.
  17. Yup, you are correct Mr T., same station and everything. Shame they couldn't keep the ride and add Tennessee Tornado somewhere else.
  18. I have some photos from inside the boat, but they're dark and really didn't come out that well. Shame you can't take pictures on the ride, I'd have loved to get a picture of the viking raiders or the sea monster that attacked us on our journey back to America!
  19. Today's selection: And I decided to enjoy it outside where it was finally 69 degrees thanks to the current thunderstorm going on To get rid of the buttery taste in my mouth, I followed up with a Double Simcoe, as displayed in this bad picture (I can't wait until my new camera arrives) By July it tasted kind of weird, almost buttery I started out with a bottle of Old Dominion Pale Ale from back in April
  20. Its currently 91 but the heat index is at 99. Luckily there's a nice thunderstorm hopefully a coming my way within the next hour! Yesterday's hi was only 93, but the heat index had it at 103. If this keeps up, next year I'm taking all my grass out and putting a giant pool all the way around my house!
  21. "So Far Away"- Stabbing Westward
  22. ^Once Jersey changes its rep, we'll get some new material. Until then, enjoy living in the armpit of America.
  23. Seems like a very honest report to me. I've only ever experienced Holiday World during coaster events, so I suspect everyone is told to be on their best behavior (and knowing some ACErs, they'd go right to guest relations if someone wasn't smiling). Of course, maybe it was also the heat, crowd, and the annoying locals that were ruining the mood for the employees. But I believe you when it comes to them possibly not being as friendly as they seem. As for the waterpark being voted highly always, I suspect that's because lots of people who receive the Golden Ticket surveys don't actually go to waterparks. They automatically vote Holiday World because they visited the park and looked at the waterpark from the distance. Its things like this which prevent other parks such as Water Country, Adventure Island, and Whitewater from getting recognized, because they're not attached to the actual amusement park.
  24. Nice job so far, Soren! I'll be down at Disney again next weekend, but I'm only doing the Magic Kingdom this time around, staying at the Polynesian, one of the few hotels I've yet to stay at. So far I agree, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge are probably my 2 favorite resorts at Disney, though if they had monorail service they'd be even better! Their pools are fantastic!
  25. Parkwise I'd go: 1. Carowinds 2. Canada's Wonderland 3. Kings Dominion 4. Kings Island Coasterwise I'd go: 1. Kings Dominion 2. Carowinds 3. Kings Island 4. Canada's Wonderland I haven't been to PGA yet, thats on the agenda for next year. Figure soon enough they'll take another 2 coasters out of there for no real reason.
