Some goodness from the weekend. I left off stuck at the airport on Friday, enjoying a HopDevil while I waited for my flight. The flight was delayed 3 hours, so I got to try another bar! Hooray! OK, if you have Blue Moon I guess I'll go with that D'oh! Out of that too! (same thing with Sam Adams Summer Ale) Ok, we'll go with Anchor Steam! But sadly they were out Including HopDevil, woohoo! See?! Jet Rock, located in pretty much every terminal in Philly, but this one had a lot of taps!

So I'm sitting here in Philly, waiting for my plane to take me to Orlando, only to discover its 3 hours delayed thanks to people not being able to figure out there are storms EVERY day in Florida between 2 and 5pm. So what else do I do but drink! Oh, I think you know! Hmmmm, which one will I get?? Yup, Independence Brew Pub So where do I go!?

Looks like the Alvey curse of 2006 strikes another victim. Oh, and I blame HMOs, otherwise more people would go to the doctor and get diagnosed properly. HMOs suck, pretty much all of them. But if I have to pick just one, I'm going with Lance Bass.

I'll ride it next year, but it doesn't really look that amazing or special to me. At least this one worked right from the start and didn't take an additional 6 months, and then just BARELY made it. Thanks for the report.

Great, there goes next year's trips to Japan, Spain, and the Midwest. TPR is putting all those on hold in light of this new ride and is going to Australia, thanks to Elissa's influence and love for rodents and Robb's love for sex.

Are maintenance workers forgetting to check for loose boards this year or what? With shotty work from RCCA and CCI, you'd think they'd check these things more often! At least no one died.

"Everyone looks forward to Thursdays" just doesn't have the same ring to it. Nice update, its fun looking at foreign places and the way things are there. Its nice to see that insane ride outdoors, which is the same thing that's inside Trauma Towers at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I totally want to ride a camel to get a hot chocolate!

Another sweet update. But honestly, beer, sex shop, food, video games, and bumper cars...you really don't need more stuff to make it an awesome update...except maybe Dave Thomas showing his distaste for some fat chick with a mullet. Now that'd be awesome!

Nice PTR. Yes, Playland is a strange sort of park, and the derby racer is one of the "must sees", though all the darkrides are really cool too. I'm looking forward to returning here in another 2 months, as I haven't been there with the wristbands yet.

The only one that has "pulsed" for me is Kingda Ka. "Pulsing" is when the train shifts (actually its the motor shifting) kinda like what would happen if you were in a manual car and tried to go from 0-100 in as fast as possible, there is a moment where you are neutral, almost thrown forward, before being thrown back in your seat before the next gear is achieved.

I hate it when the local media is all "OMG, we're in a heat wave, its all hot and people are dying!" Hello, its July, therefore its summertime here in the U.S. its supposed to be hot. And exactly why are people (primarily the old folks) dying, do they sell their air conditioners and fans after August passes each year???

As cool as Typhoon was (semi-indoor frisbee type), Thunderbird is still the standout ride in that park for me. The boomerang was nice too with its new trains and magnetic brakes, but I think I actually liked Joyride better. I opted not to ride Booster, but Thunderbird was worth the trip up there alone.

Truth that you can't catch diabetes from just touching it.

I vote for a "My Name Is Earl" simulator where you gotta try to help Earl cross something off his list while keeping Randy and Joy from screwing everything up. Then you could add a restaurant next door called the Crabshack and have Darnell working there (hows it going, Crabman!)
