  1. Next year every Six Flags park is going to get a Giant Sofa Moon Bounce.
  2. Haunted Roller Coaster at Krazy City at the Palisades Mall! Cha ching!
  3. Looks like a good fun trip, as expected. Maybe next time T&J have a gathering I'll show up and make it that much better! I miss those skillet potatoes big time!
  4. Tonight I start out with another gift from Adam, the Hazed and Infused from Boulder Beer Company. While it has a really nice hoppy aroma, it didn't really deliver, and was kinda watery. Not bad, just not amazingly awesome Heehee, the name is funny
  5. ^Don't worry, Dave, once the offseason comes around we'll probably attempt a BACT Attack in your area and we'll confiscate you and Mary and introduce you guys to some other beers that you'll surely love. I'll save the whole Adams BACThelor Party for another thread on a different day, but let's just say it was 4 hours of open bar at Heartland Brewing in NYC, so there is PLENTY to add to this thread, if I so chose! As for yesterday, I couldn't go without drinking (and surprisingly, no one was hung over or anything! Go BACT Team!) Another weekend well spent with coasters and beer! When I got home, I decided to have more of the same, thanks to Adam's generosity Lots of pumpkin spices, and not too strong of an ale overall At Adam's I started out with the Shipyard Pumpkinhead, probably my favorite pumpkin ale ever
  6. ^Don't worry, Heath's so good he didn't even touch the faucet (which explains why its running off his cheek!
  7. The Pre-bachelor party ended at Tom's house (why hasn't Adam been here for any of this!?) where Heath broke out the goodies... and I think its the best Stone brew I had all night! The boys dig it! And in a Dan needs photoshop sort of way, its a perfect pour for all! Tom pours... Heath reads the poem on the bact....errr back of the bottle The night ends with some Stone Ruination IPA We all agree its better than the Dinn coaster ever was! (and boy do I look fat!) Later on, Hercules makes his return to Allentown! (this time as a Great Divide Double IPA) Heath finally has the chance to do what he always wanted to But Heath is starting to scurr me! Later on I'll finally have the chance to try the Imperial Pumpkin Me and my Heathface are proud to enjoy the Dreamweaver Wheat But he was happy just getting the Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale finally On tap Tom went with a Troegs theme, Dreamweaver and Hopback
  8. Dinner was at a Japanese restaurant, BACT style! For those about to cook....FIRE! (we salute you!) Kirin Ichiban (Japanese for #1) for those of you planning on the TPR Japan trip and Heath As do I Tom enjoys the Kirin Ichiban!
  9. What a fun weekend its been thus far. BACT started out at Bethlehem Brew Works, eventually moving on to Adam's bachelor party! Heath dug the IPA though, so much he had 2 Whoa! The Hops Explosion IPA did not affect her at all! She's good Kim enjoyed an iced coffee??? Good stuff, no Three Floyds Drunk Monk, but it had a nice banana flavor At BBW it was all about the Hefeweizen for me, since the brewer came from Pyramid, master of the hefe
  10. The worst thing with the accordian restraints was that they would continue to come down. On a ride such as Zonga (Taz when I rode it) by the final inversion, the G Forces pushed down far enough to push the restraint down further. You'd end up either scruntched up in the car or have the restraints somewhat uncomfortably digging into your shoulders. It wasn't too bad compared to other rides, but it would really be a hinderance if they were stacking trains and you were left sitting there for a while like that. Another thing you may want to consider is the noise level. I know that when it was at AstroWorld, it was refitted with anti-rollbacks on the lift (due to the humidity in Texas causing slipping on the lift tires). They were very loud when it was there, not sure if they ever got silencers on it when it moved to Marineland or not. I think adding Thriller (with the original name back) to a park like Thrill-ville would be amazing. I know I'd be booking a flight out there to ride it again pronto! The only Schwarzkopf looper that may be better intensity-wise is Olympia, and I'll be riding that in less than a month. Look for my report on that and its restraints soon thereafter!
  11. Well, China didn't work out too well. The government confiscated all my beer and tried to force me into drinking only tea. So I hitched a ride to the docks in Shanghai and took a freighter back to the States. I needed a beer badly, so luckily I found a hotel that served Pyramid stuff. Eluding papa Hoffman is going well so far! Oh crap! As I sit in my hotel room, eluding Hoffman dad, I wonder exactly where I am Well, its back to Pyramid Thunderhead IPA. A local brew(?) the waiter told me
  12. Still on the run from the Hoffman dad, I abandoned Australia after the Aussies kept trying to steal my beer. I ended up north, and was going to check out some new coasters in the area, but I was afraid to leave my beer behind. I'll just have to save riding coasters for another day! Whoa, that's a big wall. Papa Hoffman is gonna need some mightly climbing shoes if he wants to get over here to me! Awww, it looks like the pandas really want to try the Magic Hat #9. Too bad they only like bamboo
  13. I'm really surprised the park lasted as long as it did. Typhoon was hardly a kid friendly coaster and while some parts of the park were nice, a good portion of it was left to fend for itself. And the employees were really not friendly. Seemed a bit expensive too for what they offered.
  14. Wow, I just assumed it would have the indoor portion, especially how hot it gets in the summer down there. A Supersplash is a bit more disappointing, especially considering the quality and depth that was put into JTA at SWO.
  15. That's some sad news dude! Maybe you can just switch to the low carb stuff you guys brew or something. I raise this Steam in your honor, Wally
  16. ^^From the marker I saw earlier in the year while riding LNM, it's gonna come pretty close to the station, or at least the support for it. Unless they altered the plan a bit.
  17. That's quite true. I thoroughly enjoy SheiKra, and believe Griffon will be good too. Just seems kinda odd that Busch would go and get something so similar to something they already have when they've never done that before. Still, perhaps its because its such an untested ride type. The little differences like the second Immelmann and the floorless trains should make for something a little more unique. At least Busch doesn't give everything the same name and logo. 2007 is looking at being another good year for coasters! Now if only parks would go back to getting the new ride opened on the park's opening day instead of 2 months later!
  18. Well, with the announcement, I can say that I'm glad the northeast is getting a dive machine, the floorless aspect will be a bit different (especially with the watersplash, I think the backrow may get a bit wetter). Should be another good ride for the park, but I'm kinda disappointed in Busch for going with a design so similar to what they've already got.
  19. Fiesta is supposedly getting a Gerstlauer spinner, much like Mr Six's Pandemonium at SFNE. In any case, looks like another good addition. I know the park was brutally hot the last time I was there. It'll be nice to be able to get wet! Maybe a return to Texas is in order for the future, though the idea of turntables does worry me a bit, meaning more risk for downtime.
  20. Gooday mates! Keeping away from the Hoffdaddy is pretty tough work! Anyway, I was getting cold and really tired of sharing my beers with birds that can't even fly, so I broke off a chunk of ice and sailed onward to Australia. I hoped the Aussie @$$holes would put me up for some room and board, but the punks wanted beer in return. So instead I got a job at the zoo, working right under Steve Irwin. While so close, I decided to check out the opera house with my Indica. There was some good music playing, ya know. My friend here wasn't too sure what to expect from an unfiltered IPA, so he let me enjoy it all by meself!
  21. If that happened, you'd win the trip report contest easily! Keep that idea in mind though for the next trip we do together, whenever that may be
  22. And I agree too! As someone who is pretty much doing a Photo Trip Report each week, as nice as it is to have people comment, I think it benefits everyone more if they keep their comments until the very end. Granted, some times I don't finish the report all at once if I'm still on the trip, but the majority of the time I wait until I'm home. It just looks nicer and seems to flow better for all readers if the entire report is on the first page, instead of scattered between 2 or 3 pages from people commenting. As many people as there are that like to comment and give compliments and such, there are many more lurkers who just enjoy the pictures, as is evident by how many times pictures are viewed. Maybe the rule should be if you don't want people to comment, tell them to hold all questions, comments, and concerns until you give the go ahead after your final photos have been posted?
  23. LOL! And Nicole thinks I'm the only person who says she takes a simple shot and makes it blurry! At least she's cute! Nice follow up, though as much as I love my woman, I'd rather be in California than Canada (but Canaba, that's a different story!)
  24. Tatsu, back row on Saturday with buddies Jimbo, Chris, and The Hoffman Girl
  25. I haven't been to Steel Pier since the late 1990s, but the place had a totally different feel from the other pier parks along the Jersey coast. It was more carnie than park, at least to me. The closure doesn't seem that out of the ordinary to me, with the accident on the flume last year, and the park just not really caring about adding anything for the last decade.
