for what it's worth, using this calculator on bankrate.com, the estimated cost of living for Seattle is nearly identical to that of Hartford. Of those five, Id think Seattle sounds best for you (actually, it sounds like the only option!). HOWEVER cost of living is much higher than the other cities.
