The terrible towels are not happy that so many people are picking the Packers. They shall curse you all. Go Steelers! -
I expect IP/Circus Circus/etc to be dumps - I thought Hard Rock would be pretty cool, and I did not like the vibe much at all. Just because it's not the worst doesn't mean it can't still be a disappointment!
-
^ I fully enjoyed our gut-busting Wynn buffet. And the price tag kept out the Vegas trash!
-
I was thinking it was more of an issue of the time / effort needed, just relating it to money.. but yeah, there are definitely lots of wusses out there
-
It was creepy how dead that place was on a Friday afternoon - good riddance though. One of the most disappointing casinos in Vegas.

cause capitalism is the devil! Why do ~40-50% of Americans sign up for organ donation, yet less than 10% give blood? Because blood donation is also unpaid, and time = money, right? I really do think compensation should be explored as a solution to organ shortages. It's not like the medical professionals completing the transplant aren't benefiting financially from the organ donation dollar dollar bills, y'all

I'm amazed to hear that the city got worse. Actually, I would have called it 'comically bad' when I visited almost 10 years ago. Now it just sounds bad, such a shame
-
you better hope you don't have to undergo an autopsy! I am not an organ donor, and do not plan to be anytime soon. I would, however, consider giving my body to a local medical school - I'm sure they'd love to study what my abuses can do to a body I do not like how there is no compensation for the organs whatsoever. Obviously, if I'm dead, I don't really need it, but even 5-10k to cover funeral expenses would be a nice gesture towards the family. I'm sure you'd get more people to sign up - but I figure they also don't want everybody signed up, because there's a lot of work involved in harvesting organs, which can really become a waste of time & money if the organs aren't able to be salvaged.

Photo TR: Orlando 2011

I really can't believe how many people seem so upset over a dude marking his images. They really weren't all that bad - I'd liken it to a nude photo of some hot chick. If he had put his mark over her "fun bits", then yes, I can see disappointment coming from the audience that is TPR. However, it's more like she was wearing socks... and are you really gonna go limp just cause she's wearing socks? Obviously the dude was an ass in his response, but c'mon guys... it wasn't THAT hard to look at. [for the record, I've never marked any of my photos, I support an artist's rights, and I hate socks] -
The Maybach is nothing too crazy - there are a few in my city alone. The MC 12, however, is incredibly rare. I think there are only 12 in the US

Photo TR: Wacky Worms of the World

Can I count a Wacky Worm that Richard hasn't been on as a rare credit? -
My thoughts exactly. Just not something I'd like to see Ferrari produce.
-
Right, cause they totally named it after the band, and not the one of the most important electrical engineers of all time! They run about $100k if I recall correctly It means you can use it in HOV lanes in California, even if you are driving solo

I'm thinking (hoping?) the new trains will, at worst, just make the ride seem a bit jerky, since there is no harness to bash your head and neck into, without causing discomfort as the trains on Huracan did. What is an over-head lap bar? Just throwing it out there, I have a gut feeling that Brad is right
-
for the record, I don't hate the car. It has some good parts. But I just can't believe Ferrari went there...
-
that's a shame

Mellow mushroom is also generally a pretty good place to get some good craft beers, but they vary greatly from having an amazing, wide selection, to having Sam Adams Boston Lager, which is ok but available nearly EVERYWHERE, as their best beer. They have a corporate philosophy to favor good local craft beers, but it doesn't always translate to the stores.

North Korean Theme Parks
ParkTrips replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wonder how many shots you need to visit North Korea -
Well, they did at least make it to where the guy in the plane needed to take a 45 minute cab ride to the dock. The car won, despite the boat and plane both being able to go faster, and the car getting pulled over on US1. It was "close", however, probably due to editing as you said. The traffic he encountered going to Key West was minimal too, almost like a closed set
-
yeah, it was cool - I know you would have liked it. High-powered boats and cars is all you would need

some nerd thought an article about another nerd wasn't necessary, as the subject nerd wasn't quite big enough of a nerd to warrant his own wikipedia page, and the first nerd used his ultra nerd powers to delete it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Robb_Alvey

To rehash an old subject, I loved last week's US Top Gear - Vegas, a Ferrari (even if its a wimpy one), and making fun of the Panamera's atrocious looks

I'm going to suggest some beers that I know are available in Alabama, I don't know what all you guys get since distribution varies so much Coffee: Terrapin Wake-n-Bake, should be about $10/4 pack, can be found on tap occasionally Chocolate: Terrapin Moo-hoo, should be about $8/6 pack, also on tap at places. Fruity is a bit wide - IPAs can give fruitiness (mostly tropical, like grapefruits), but also come with bitterness of varying harshness. There are some fruit beers of various styles available, usually noted as such on the bottle or in the name. There is a place called the Blackstone Pub And Eatery in Gadsden that sounds like a place to get a good beer, thought it's mostly bottles. They offer Chimay White, which I have a feeling you would like. I can get Chimay at Publix, so maybe you can too. There is a place in Birmingham called the J Clyde that may be the best bar in the state for getting good beer - ooh, I noticed they have Hanssens Oude Gueuze in a bottle for $11, which is actually quite a deal for lambic, that may also be a style you like (though, as it is dry, a bit musty, flat, and has a bit of tartness, so this is also a beer you may despise!). Mellow mushrooms often carry some good local craft beers that you can try. Most places are willing to let you sample a beer out of a small glass, so when in doubt, just ask to try some stuff and compare.

Depends on what tastes you like, really. Beer can cover such a wide variety of flavors
