  1. Lou is stalking me through my random report in the VIP forum
  2. Without buying anything? Duh, steal a 256 meg card!
  3. 1. Universal Orlando 2. Dollywood 3. Busch Gardens Williamsburg 4. Hersheypark 5. Six Flags Over Georgia/Great Adventure (yea, we had a really good day at G-adv) 6. Busch Gardens Tampa 7. Lake Compounce 8. Dorney Park 9. Lake Winnie 10. Knoebels - Joe, who hopes now people understand why I don't care for Cedar Point - it didn't even make my top 10!
  4. - new desktop computer - UK trip - SF Season Pass - best of all, I get to see my girlfriend in a few days after not seeing here in more than a month That's more than enough thank you
  5. http://sfog.parktrips.com/ My update today includes: - photos from the topping off (yea I know, old) - photos from last week incl. the first drop (ditto) - an interview with PR manager Jim Taylor concerning Goliath I'll take some photos of the current construction tommorrow! Anyone in Atlanta knows today is a really crappy day so I didn't get a chance to take any photos. Tomorrow is gonna be sunny though 8)
  6. He leaves his lapbar up because he's so damn fat!! Actually, that show took place before the seconf accident at NE, back when the ride was much more spacious than today. There are a few reasons why it looks like the guests at those two parks are strapped in better. First off, it's the cut-off-circulation-if neccessary Cedar Fair safety practices that are taking place! On top of that, there's actually AIRTIME on Superman as opposed to any of the rides at Cedar Point and Dorney! (sorry Jay Superman owns Steel Force!)
  7. "It's Son of Beast and it doesn't care about you one bit..." "Son of Beast will have you questioning your sanity..." LMFAO!!! Always good for a laugh, like when they said the GA Scorcher has five inversions Paul Ruben. knuff said! - Joe, who can't help but watch a marathon of coaster shows
  8. Robb gives blow jobs? (sign me up!!) - Joe, who needs to add something useful to this post, so yea, I'll be riding Voyage next spring 8)
  9. hey that's ok I can see where you're coming from! Very true.
  10. Probably 10-15 rides later... I still don't "get it". I've never gotten anything, especially nothing to brag about. Just me though :-/ (oh yea, I like Fire better myself, as if thats not the oldest topic out there) Cheeseburger in paradise.. yummm!! We love the random things in Toon Lagoon too I should do a retro TR from Universal since I may not make it down this winter...
  11. Water is a bad example, its a very unique case because its one of the few things on this planet that are more dense as a liquid than as a solid (hence thats why Ice floats on water). He's right though, most of the time when things heat up they expand, and when the cool down they contract, basically because the individual molecules are moving faster/slower (depending on which condition your in). I see your logic, but you just happened to pick a funky case!! - Joe, who hates Chemistry anyways
  12. I went with a local and from what he told me you got lucky. I mean, my buddy has been going to the park since Laser openeing and it wasn't until we were there in May that he got his first front row rides :-/ Glad you got to ride in the back... I do have a joke to end this post: Larer's lifthill.
  13. Jeremy - if you're out there, you just ain't right!! LMFAO. And to throw in a "Take that SoCal bitches!!", oh man.. wow
  14. This is why I think more parks will approach the new rides like Holiday World, where they hint at it and actually build anticipation towards the announcement as opposed to a leak and everyone knows and the anouncement day is merely a formality at that point.
  15. "I didn't know Optimus Prime was a Jew..."
  16. Robb, remember commenting on how "its definatley the off season.." Sex, btw. I could live without coasters... not sure about sex!
  17. pic below in case you need help too... http://www.thehelpline.org
  18. Dude Top Gun is awesome but there are better ones out there!!!
  19. Ghost trains at SFOG. ::shudders:: Assigned seating on Laser. Don't DARE question it either. You also have to take everything in your possession on the ride with you. Mind you, this is a ride that pretty much always has 1-train operation... so I rode with my camera bag, my girlfriends multiple bags of souvenirs (which gets a on its own) and some extra clothes that we had since it was a cold day. I believe the former Viper at Astroworld had a no single riders policy too. I get a kick out of the rides that let you reride so long as its not in the same seat.. Thunderhead was like this, as were some others. Paramount parks - you can reride, but only twice. Why twice, why not three times? Why limit it?
  20. Tim - Thank you for your insight. Since there are so few installations left, and most are at ultra-small parks, info is hard to come by. I love it. The ones at Wonderland are the new models. like the ones at Dutch Wonderland. I would have loved to try them but didn't even know they were Lusse's until after I visited the park. That's great to hear of another set in Oregon, I suppose that even if the one wasn't enough to draw me to Oregon while in the Pacific NW at some point, a second set will definately pull me away from those woodies in Idaho. Those look beautiful. Skooters in the Ozarks to? I guess an upcoming trip to Branson will take a detour. From what I understand, the Skooters at Bushkill are in serious danger. I didn't even pick up on the fact that Hoffman's had a split set - we got lucky and picked up the regular old ones. I will never forget our one ride where I was hit so hard I got a big gash on my knee.. Larry - I know you like that contsant banging down the straitaway move.. you pulled it on me a few times!! - Joe, who actually believes that the one's at Hoffman's hit a little harder, but Knoebels can't be beat with their ride cycle
  21. This thread kinda sucks now.. people are repeating quotes left and right .. that peanut butter jelly time thing has been said like five times already :-/ I did, however, LOVE the Thanksgiving dinner one 8)
  22. Plus a locomotive to SFOG and two flats to SFOT... oh, and the Texas Cyclone to whoever wants to move it edit - Jeremy posted before I could edit my post :-/
  23. Absolutely. There are more important things in life. If I was really into coasters a lot, we would have went to SeaBreeze instead of the Rochester Zoo, probably would ride every Boomerang and SLC I find, wouldn't have left Boulder Dash ERT early because my girlfriend was tired (even though BD was running amazingly!), and probably wouldn't have left SFNE without at least riding the two woodies because, again, my girlfriend wasn't her best (not to mention I probably wouldn't have spent 3 hours in the waterpark only to ride two rides!!) Yea, I love this stuff in a way, but its still just a nice hobby to do with some cool people and fun times. Other than that.. there's more important things I can think of that could facilitate my "departure" from being an enthusiast..
  24. Oh man that's awesome!! At Hoffman's my girlfriend managed to hit the divider.. head on, full speed without me driving her into it, just totally on her.. I don'w know how mut it was one of those laughing my ass off moments.. but man, I would have loved to see THAT! - Joe, who never actually BROKE anything like that !
