::cries:: Marlins got rid of Juan Pierre, my idol. OK tribute time if things work out the right way... -
OK we have some flat ride threads here and there but now for the end-all thread - the Lusse Skooters Love thread! Share your stories here!! I love these damned things, a lot! For those who don't know Lusse Auto Skooters are what most people would refer to as bumper cars, but these are no ordinary bumper cars. They are run faster, hit harder and can actually be a total blast compared to most bumper car rides which are about as tame as Taco Bell mild sause. Time for some pics: Tim O'brien seems to think the ones at Knoebels are good: I think the best ride was when a few of us were at Knoebels this past may, and I don't know, it was random but we had a blast. Larry t-boned me pretty good, that's all I remember from the sheer insanity. The ones at Hoffman's are legendary in their own aspect to me, the only ride to draw blood from me. As far as I know those are the only two ful, operating sets of Lusses left, with some newer ones here and there and a mixed set at Keansburg - am I missing any?? I would soo go out of my way to ride them! - Joe, who knows some people will think he's crazy...

^ Thank you!! People give Snyder crap about not having amusement park experience, but most seem to forget/overlook/not know that the current group didn't either!! -

ParkTrips replied to CoasterFanatic's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What I don't get is the huge gap between it and the one at Darien Lake, but Robb's weird anyways so it should be expected! (at least he pt it above Millennium as did I) edit: iy anyone cares my ballot is the only one with the name "Joseph" attached to it -
love ya babe 8)

Derek's Year in Review
ParkTrips replied to DerekRx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OK guess I'll do the rundown 8) January: Universal Orlando (both parks) - three days February: Stone Mountain Park - Don would probably count the sky ride as a credit so it counts as a park for me - one day March: SFOG (five days), Carowinds (one day), Kings Dominion (one day), BG Williamsburg (one day) April: SFOG (four days) May: SFOG (one day), Great Adventure (one day), Dorney (one day), Hershey (one day), Knoebels (one day), Conneaut Lake (one day) June: Martin's (one day), Darien Lake (one day) July: Canada's Wonderland (one day), Martin's again (one day), Darien Lake again (one day), Lake Compounce (one day), SF New England (one day) August: MB Pavilion (one day), SFOG (five days) September: SFOG (three days + Goliath announcement), Lake Winnie (one day) October: SFOG (two days), BG Tampa (one day) November: SFOG (one day), Dollywood (one day), Camp Snoopy (one day) December: Carowinds (one day) My year: the only truly "dry" month was February, and I spent about 50 days in parks this year, almost one per week... awesome 8) .. and as you can see I only do my homepark when its not busy -
Photo TR: Winterfest at Carowinds
ParkTrips replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was there yesterday.. if anyone heard someone yell "oh sh-" (yes, I cut myself off and censored myself - after all its in the kiddie section!) after losing his hat on a killer snap, yea, that was me 8) Honestly I thought the Winterfest was only "decent". The fountains were awesome though, big points there. - Joe, who says if you want a great Christmas celebration, go to a Herschend property -

I visited about half as many new parks as you (about 15) yet picked up more credits than you (about 80)... how the hell does that happen? You must have been whoring it up at all of the Jeepers' - Joe, who had a crazy year as well but not 91 parks crazy! -
Top 10 Video Games of All Time
ParkTrips replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Random, Random, Random
Not much of a gamer, but I was as a kid so here's my top 10, no order assigned. Civilization III Mario Bros (the one from the NES) RCT Tecmo Football Call of Duty (the original.. did Robb work on this game too?) Madden football (but not from the past two or three years) Sonic the Hedgehog (the original one on Genesis) Railroad Tycoon (best Tycoon game ever IMHO) GTA 3 (man we used to play that one for hours) ...and any of the old Intellivision games that my dad had (bootleg Atari.. yea!!!) I'm not much of a gamer, but those are the ones I've enjoyed the most. -
Wes.. Let me know when you guys come to SFOG so I can break Canyon Blaster again and deny Elissa a credit

Crap! I may need to find a new mass consumption beer.
ParkTrips replied to CoasterFanatic's topic in Random, Random, Random
Does Yuengling count as mass consumption beer? I've never had it but a good chunk of my family in SW PA drinks it... - Joe, who has the collection of the IC cans from the Steelers' Super Bowl Titles in the 70s, and a Pitt national championship one for good measure -
I was picked for this program in 9th (?) grade.. didn't go, it was WAY overpriced IMHO. I love traveling and all, but what they were asking was a good 25% (probably closer to 50%) more than what I could pay for the trip if I did it on my own. I hope you love it - other than the price the program sounded awesome and I'd love to go to Australia!!

MAGNUM FORCE AND BULLET GONE!
ParkTrips replied to Chris Benvenuto's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I find it funny that you say that Revolution won't be taken out because its historic. My park had a historic ride too. .. if anything, the location will help it. If they built Tatsu around it, I doubt anything will warrent Revolutions removal. But to say historical significance is why they would keep it is somewhat foolish IMHO - look at Knott's corkscrew, it left and it was a historic ride as well. Alex - it is quite a shame. Zonga probably won't last long either... 54, wow, that's maybe a third of his rides -
ah I got ya. Misread, I thought you were asking for the translations! - Joe
-
OK not to be mean but isn't it "wrong" for us to do your homework? For the ride translations I'm sure they have an English version of their website.. or, you could do what I used to do in French and use one of these
