  1. speaking of VW, what's up with the Beetle having a Cayman-like ass? And that's not meant to be flattering..
  2. ^ I saw that. What is this, college? I can't believe they were even collapsible, or that fans of a pro team would tear them down...
  3. Truth is, German's don't even drink beer...
  4. I can assure you that Kristen did not have a beer! There is a quiet minority of people who opt not to drink, however, I'd personally feel really out of place if I did that! Not to mention that beer is slightly cheaper than coke, would you really rather pay 10 euros for a litre of coke...? Learn to drink beer
  5. hey, we still made it up! even we just weren't as graceful about it as you ert would mean even more long-lasting scars on my legs, yay!
  6. NICE! At leas the interior looks ok! I keep telling myself I want a small roadster (like a Z3), but I can't bring myself to buy another really impractical car
  7. ^ as much as you'll laugh at me for committing to this (or anything), sign me up now!! I'll be done with school by then oh how I have a love-hate relationship with this time of year - I love seeing the photos, but hate not being there! My little town's oktoberfest tomorrow just won't be the same =( and, Olympia Looping will never be retired - if they decide to sell, I'll just have to buy it!
  8. lol Esso is WAY out of the way of anywhere you should have been
  9. Amusement Today encourages people to vote for things they have not even ridden in the 'new' category, saying something along the lines of "we understand that you can't get to every new ride every year, so take other peoples' trip reports and reviews into consideration to make your selection" The multiple-choice ballot really skews the results towards the given options. Millennium has had more than a decade for people to ride it, Texas Giant has only had a few months
  10. I didn't mean to imply that I can join, but I was just suggesting something!
  11. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/9/806375/restaurant/Atlanta/Texas-Roadhouse-Douglasville A Texas Roadhouse is awesome enough, but this one may please any coaster nerds as they have a giant mural of Goliath on the wall! [Exit 36/Chapel Hill Rd]
  12. From a students perspective, Thursday night games are awesome. Class - tailgate - class - tailgate - game - post-game party. So happy that my school plays at least one every year! (... but I can see how the athletes are screwed up. Never thought of the away team having somewhat of an advantage either, but it makes sense)
  13. ^ Depends on how 'close' and or 'good' you want it to be ...? the closest decent sports bars places are probably a good 15 mins away, but you could probably find a restaurant with the game on over on Thornton Rd 2 miles west of the Six Flags exit)
  14. yeah, I know its a stretch - but I figure that, in the event of mega-conferences, the ACC will keep most of its teams and add some from the big east, which would not exactly be my preferred choice for football conferences! I do think FSU, Clemson and GT could be interesting since that makes 3 big rivalry games SEC matches too (and they could expand to a 9/10-gm schedule), but I doubt that will ever happen =/ ACC: FSU over GT. Yeha, I picked my team to win their division, only because our schedule is beautiful and I don't think VT will roll thru the rest of the league as they normally do Big 11: I hate going with the front-runner, but Oklahoma. Do they still have a championship game? If so, it sounds like Baylor is motivated enough to get one last shot at the title (joking) Big East: is it basketball season yet? Big Ten: who cares? Pac-10: Stanford. I like nerds. SEC: South Carolina over LSU! A bit of an upset over the western powers, especially considering last year's SEC title game, but I needed to pick an upset (and LEs Miles is always capable of coaching his team down to the opponents/into defeat)
  15. ^ I hope GT ends up in the mega-SEC! We're even practicing the whole improper benefits thing, I'm sure they will have figured out how to do it by next year
  16. ^ There's like 17 waffle houses within 5 miles of the park (slight exaggeration), but no Starbucks within about 10 miles since the area is a mix of industrial parks and ghetto. Waffle House has better ambiance anyways
  17. Their average per-day attendance for the year probably isn't too far off from Magic Mountain..
  18. heh I remember when the bottles came out last year, I got one and opened it about 2 weeks after bottling, and it was wonderful - but we opened another bottle up about 2 weeks later, and it had changed significantly. First time was amazing, second time was just pretty good IMO
  19. doesn't matter, the world is going to end next year anyways
  20. ^ I dig. ^^ Whaaa? Nicole? Still drinking beer
  21. Asking locals is still a nice alternative to googling if you aren't familiar with the area. In this case, half of the results on the first page are an hour+ drive away, and one of the more 'interesting' places to camp in Atlanta (Stone Mountain Park), wasn't even on the first page.
  22. haha that's amazing! I can't wait to get my car detailed
  23. I bought the wrong car though, I should have bought a 1MC, sold it for almost 2x msrp, and then bought the Z4MC and modded the hell out of it with the remaining proceeds
  24. ^ NICE! Kern Citra is one of my favorite IIPAs, as is Pliny! Would love to have both right about now. BUT IIRC didn't Black Butte 22 have some problem? 23 was delish too I'm currently drinking: You'll have to hook some of us poor souls with some Heady Topper
  25. Old E would fit the neighborhood well.
