Remember photos must be .jpg should not exceed 800x600 (Unfortunately, many people have submitted photos that are too large for TPR to use or in pdf form.) High quality photos (not blurry, distorted or out of focus). Lastly, we are not adding kiddie rides or major upcharges at this time, but we are at the point where family rides such: transportation rides, carousels, ferris wheels and bumper cars are being added. We are also not adding FECs (Family Entertainment Centers) to the Park Index. And if you have to ability to scan your park maps, feel free to submit those for the years that all not already in the Park Index. Of course any PTRs containing superior photos or entertaining captions and a variety of pictures including multiple rides and areas. (Not just one or two rides/attractions) are always valued. Attention has been given to every previously submitted Photo TR. Don't feel discouraged if we can't include every one. PTRs must be downloaded onto the Theme Park Review server (not Imageshack, photobucket) that way we know a Red X will never appear to be added to the Park Index. Lastly, if you have photos of a different ride that is not in TPR's Park Index, please submit that also.
  2. Awesome stuff as usual Shane.
  3. ^ouch, Moderator being abused by another Moderator. Yes, I forgot who bought who. As I work in advertising I still think of ABC as the larger entity, even though it is the Walt Disney Company.
  4. Please keep us updated as they continue to finish the "new" Bracalandia. I have added the park to TPR's Park Index
  5. Six Flags does not have put itself up for sale. All you need is one entity buying up a majority of shares. Six Flags doesn't really have a say and can't prevent it unless management owns 50.1 percent of the shares.
  6. Forts generally weren't built in times of war, they were built to protect in area in case war was to break out in the future. Since the Spanish colonized Florida earlier than California, San Marcos is older. Since both areas were colonized by the Spanish (probably within 100 years of each other)the style of the forts should be similar.
  7. ^No, I'm a dork, just not a Disney dork.
  8. All Americans should just do themselves a favor and watch SyFy all day on Saturday, from the moment you get up until you go to bed.
  9. Well that would be a valid question, if you replaced the word "loose" with "lose". A question better answered by Disney than by speculation. If someone in this situation finds out a answer from Disney, let us know.
  10. ^Agreed However, better corporate management = better fiscal practices = higher prices on season passes. That is what the parks need, but a lot of enthusiasts are just looking for the cheapest price.
  11. ^Good catch. I'm a non-Disney dork, and didn't know the Polynesian Village opened the same year as the park. I never stayed at Fort Wilderness, so I don't have any of the train photos.
  12. Is there a question or statement in this poorly written post? Are you assuming that your "Premier Passport" will be automatically renewed each year? If that is your belief, why would you make that assumption?
  13. ^Matt - I sent you a PM, let's discuss this through PM thanks
  14. I'm next and I moved this into the "Say Something Random" Thread.
  15. I never heard of that policy at Legoland. For the record, this is how it works at Busch Parks. You leave a deposit on your credit card at the front gate and if you don't return in an hour, you get billed the full admission price.
  16. ^Thanks I added the Moto coaster - I've done a poor job in keeping track of what is needed for China parks.
  17. ^Because the foreign parks are not owned by ABC.
  18. There is really no need for anyone to get all worked up over this speculation because there will not be a merger. Apollo is not taking over Cedar Fair, shareholders are not voting that way. In my opinion neither company taking over the other would wreck anything, because both companies are a mess. Both companies have proven that they can not expand successfully when this much debt is involved.
  19. Although sometimes you renew via e-mail and the park tells you they can't send you a pass because you have to come in to take a new picture. That happened to me this year.
  20. This is already being discussed: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51113
  21. If rides are closed, no one will have an excuse to miss Mystery Lodge.
  22. Thanks Will, I didn't realize and have notified Hanno.
  23. That's cool, I would love to have them updated before TPR's second British Invasion occurs. Shawn and Will - thanks Patrick - thank you but we are not adding smaller FECs.
  24. ^if they want to be a viable company long into the future they adopt the Cedar Fair season Pass pricing policy. A company can not make money with the Six Flags season pass pricing structure, sorry if that prohibits all the cheapos from bying a pass, but that's reality.
