Roller Coaster Queues
Jerrykoala2112 replied to kk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I remember in 2008 when I went to the park, it literally took us 5 minutes to walk to the coaster, they were soooo smart planning the queue path. And we got lost when we walked through it. There were queues everywhere and we had no clue where to go. You must of went on a busy day, but after you wait through that, you get in a building with more queue. We got lost before the building. -
La Ronde Discussion Thread

Thunderhawk at Michigan's Adventure was super smooth. In the front and in the back seats. I rode it 2 times because it was that good. Now if Six Flags does this right, this SLC could be something amazing. FYI: I like Thunderhawk better then BTR and Raptor. -
"Crotch Crushers"

Hmmm...These are also found on B&M stand ups. I really hate them. I think it is also on rip tide at Valleyfair. I know it hurts on some rides. Not sure if the manufacteres really think about this. I think they think it is ok of how they design their restrains and suck. -

Anyone else prefer Vekoma SLC's?
Jerrykoala2112 replied to jmccalip's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I actually like Thunderhawk at Michigan's Adventure a lot! I like it better then Raptor and Batman the Ride. That SLC is really smooth and really fast and I loved the footchopper in the front seat! Althought, the 3 mind erasers I rode, at Darien Lake, Elitch Gardens, and New England, those didn't seem to bad to me. -
Don't think that repainting something on a coaster means it is staying. Or anything like that. They re-did the pipeline coaster a year before the coaster closed so it didn't mean anything. They would know by 2004 how the park is doing and so they wouldn't do that. But because it did happen, don't think that repainting carts for Demon means the coaster is staying.

Whizzer use to run 5 carts and use to not have seatbelts...fun fact. But all of this shinanegans (sp) about Whizzer and Demon being removed could possibley be true. If you think about it...Chang takes up A LOT of room, removing Demon could work, but SFGAM might be talking about putting Whizzer to sleep. Might have been my first coaster I ever rode...

Michigans Adventure is the same story... The park was crowded from 10-11. Then the lines went down 70% when the waterpark opened...and stayed like that. So my opinion watch out for Michigans Adventure. But yea. SFKK is more known for their water park. It is probably far superior then Kings Island's and Holiday Worlds. So its a good thing they can expand that.

"New for 2011 at Six Flags Great America, Bizzaro! Bizarro your world and stand up to this massive standup roller coaster! Bizarro will be our 14th. roller coaster, and our third tallest standing a staggering 154ft. in the air, it'll be over 50 ft. taller than our other standup coaster, Iron Wolf. What makes Bizarro so unique is that it'll feature flames shooting over 30 ft. in the air, 2 tight narrow tunnels filled with mist, razor sharp knives, and an on ride audio system. Riders will standup to this bizzare coaster in May of 2011!"

^Well. Those are wooden coasters. Top thrill dragster and Maverick arent the same coasters. They deliver different experiences and everything but those are sit down. You don't see the same 2 inverts, floorlesses, or stand ups or dives because that is not how it works. Exception is dueling dragons because those are dueling. Chang and Iron Wolf aren't going to be dueling.
