  1. Here's maps that I'm willing to trade from this year (and from last year)... It might not be much, but it's something! All my maps are in fantastic condition. Busch Gardens Africa - Brochure - 2010 Canobie Lake Park - Map - 2011 Coney Island - Map - 2011 Dollywood - Brochure - 2011 Great Escape - Map - 2011 Holiday World - Map - 2010 Holiday World - Brochure - 2010 Islands of Adventure / US - Map - 2011 La Ronde - Map - 2011 Lake Compounce - Map - 2011 Quassy Park - Map - 2011 Six Flags Fiesta Texas - Map - 2011 Six Flags Great America - Map - 2011 Six Flags Hurricane Harbor (SFOT) - Brochure - 2011 Six Flags New England - Map - 2011 Six Flags New England - Brochure - 2011 Six Flags Over Texas - Map - 2011 Six Flags Over Texas - Brochure - 2011 Six Flags St. Louis - Map - 2011 Universal Studios / IOA - Map - 2011 Wild Adventures - Brochure - 2010
  2. OMG! That's awesome!!! When I rode those same exact ducky's, my duck didn't fall of the platform. Gotta spin faster next time!
  3. He's just complaining that Six Flags Great America hasn't added a large roller coaster since 2003. He just can't seem to grasp the fact that we already have plenty of large roller coasters.
  4. What are you expecting when you ride a Floorless? A airtime filed Intaimin? Seriously, that's not what Floorlesses were made to do. You're the only person that I have ever heard from that hates all 5 of Six Flag's Floorless roller coasters. Superman was really fun, and very unique with it's quarry location. And you complain that all of them are force-less, when all of them have tight turns at the end of the rides. And keep in mind that Dominator use to be a Floorless roller coaster built when Six Flags owned Geauga Lake, but that somehow avoids your "Six Flags Floorless 5" list.
  5. Dang, this ride looks AMAZING! I really hope I have a chance to ride it next year, I love the way it interacts with the 2 roller coasters and the midway!
  6. Looks like the park went to a turn for the worse since my visit in 2006. I managed to ride the Flying Coaster on my visit, and it was loads of fun! And after Sidewinder, everything else was pretty boring. The drop tower had the biggest line of the park, so we skipped that too. You summed up what I thought about Mr. Twister, which still isn't good news... Is the rapids ride even open? I remember it was sitting there with no water, and hopefully, some little roller coaster/ a flat can be placed in Flying Coaster's old spot.
  7. Six Flags Great America added Ragin Cajun in 2004. The next roller coaster they added was Dark Knight, both of which are wild mice. Granted, 1 is spinning, but their is still a huge similarity between the two.
  8. I really don't want to think negatively about this ride, it looks pretty pleasant. But I still remember when the renderings of I305 came out and people were beyond disappointed, and now, it seems to be a very well-liked roller coaster. I'm glad they B&M went back to the old style trains.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised, there's La Ronde with their 2 Inverted roller coasters, along with Six Flags Great America having two wild mice. But the sad thing is, the last 2 roller coasters Great America added were wild mice, so at least New England is getting a major addition since what... Pandemonium?
  10. Great Adventure was a fantastic way to end the North East trip! It was nice following all your reports, so I thank you for posting them all. Even though you didn't get many shots of El Toro, I think everyone knows just how awesome it is!
  11. Yeah, I wouldn't even consider Mount Olympus a theme park. Their water park is fantastic, especially the wave pool, but the park is definitely mediocre. I enjoyed Hades for what it does, especially the short turns in the tunnel, but everything else was pretty bad. And if you didn't like Ragin Cajun, you wouldn't like Opa... So that was a smart move on your part... Thanks for posting your report though!
  12. That is probably what they will announce on September first. I rode American Eagle yesterday and the blue side's line was at least 30 minutes longer than the red side's line, so people are really excited to try it backwards. But might I add, I rode the blue side before when it went backwards, and it's not as good as it use to be. It's trimmed to death now and it nearly stalls on the final airtime hill. Still a neat experience though.
  13. Six Flags Great America has 2 parking lots. One is closer to the park, which was 25 dollars, and then there was a parking lot further away that was 15 dollars. I think Six Flags Great America found the pricing useless because the the back parking lot would fill up 5 times faster than the closer one. So starting this year, both lots are 20 dollars. Not sure what to complain about, Parking Pass was only 70-80 bucks
  14. Make it a party of two. Sooperdooperlooper is a fine family ride, but it is very weak for a Schwarzkopf. I have to agree. I just find the run "fun" and the loop isn't even that forceful. The ride is very easy going, but still one of my favorite Schwarzkopfs because of it's placement on the hill. And about Skyrush, I'll be sure to check it out sometime, although I question the comfort of the seats, the layout looks fun
  15. I have to agree, Quassy was a great park to start off the North East Trip! Wooden Warrior was such a little coaster that really packed the punch, it was just loaded with airtime! The Timberliners are very comfortable and appealing to the eye, I'm glad Voyage will be adding them soon. Hopefully, Quassy has "fast delivery and good luck" with their new water park additions for next year. Can't wait for the future updates!
  16. El Toro on the last night of the North East Trip during ERT... Amazing!
  17. Really? You must be visiting on the wrong days. The 15 times I've visited SFGAm, only in May was when both of them were not operating. Plus, what's the reason to have two flumes operating unless it's super crowded.
  18. I know the Mindbender accident was mentioned, but I thought a picture would help make it look more intense. Three people were killed
  19. 11/20 I was doing good until the 2nd round of questions came... But I never knew Riverview park was the largest theme park at one point
  20. Carnivore looks great! Although don't you think that the queue is a tad too long for a ride that has a huge capacity? Everything else is so well executed, though!
  21. I gotta agree with you, Hersheypark is one of my all time favorite parks as well! The ride collection is great and has an awesome atmosphere. You were lucky enough to ride Sidewinder with it's newer trains, when I rode it. it was as good as rolling yourself down a hill inside a barrel. Sooperdooperlooper is great though, thanks for posting!
  22. Am I the only one that thinks that the train goes a wee-bit too high on the straight spike
  23. Question - Is the triple down right after the brakes that goes underground? I don't remember much from when I rode the ride, and after watching the POV, I still don't know where the triple down is.
  24. I have to agree, my visit to Little Amerricka was never this crowded, but still didn't look too bad. For what the park has, I think it's great for what it has with the Roll-o-Plane, train that goes to a random farm, and the awesome go karts! Toboggan wasn't that fun for me either... P.S. I've never seen that kind of parking
  25. Yeah, you really have to head back here and try out Shockwave, definitely one of the landmark coasters at the park! I'll be sure to ride roller coasters before ERT starts on the North East trip, in case anything gets canceled! Rudie, you were totally right about Shockwave, it blew me away and is my favorite ride at the park!
