  1. Me at the Harry Potter land in February! Love the walls of people surrounding me...
  2. Not sure if this was mentioned, but a webcam feed that updates roughly every 10 seconds is now available online! http://www.riptidebay.com/webcam.html So far, the tube slide seems completed, and the loop part of the duel looping slides. Looks exciting!
  3. My visit to both USF and IOA in July of 2009 was jam packed, and I still had a rockin' time! To me, the rides at these parks are totally worth a long queue, especially because the rides are 2-10 minutes long! Granted, my ride on Incredible Hulk after waiting over an hour was beyond awful... I don't know if it was the heat, or just the back seat was extra shaky, but they really have to improve the way their fast passes work. Although, it seems my last 3 visits to the parks (2005, 2009, 2011) seemed to be packed in the morning... The crowds eventually slow down by the time the sun sets! Which is just great news for the next time I visit.
  4. I really like the way the ride looks! Especially the main lift-drop tower, the supports are pretty eye catching. The area the ride is in looks a lot better now that a bright colored ride is placed there. Hopefully, the screams on the ride will liven up the area. I do agree that a euro-fighter with a 2 hour line might not be worth it, but if you're only at SFOG for one day of the year, one would probably wait through the line... (Or see if DDD is on the Flash Pass system!) If I'm hearing some good reviews for the ride, I should consider coming down for Deep South Bash! Especially to pick up the missed credits from my horrible 2009 visit!
  5. Did anyone happen to download this video when it was still public? If I'm not mistaken... This should be the exact (but a lot less quality..) video that was posted. Even if it isn't the same video, it's still offers some great footage.
  6. Gardaland looks like an amazing park! But now that it has X-Raptor, I should pay a visit sometime in the near future. I am not sure why Sequoia Adventure was stuck between the corkscrews, but I guess they wanted to make that area of the park more alive? No idea. I do have a question though... How is one suppose to get into the Observation tower? The "stick" holding it looks really small.
  7. Ordered my ticket and a Club TPR renewal! So excited, haven't been to SFOT since 2008... One of my favorite Six Flags parks!
  8. 10 / 20 But to be honest, I only knew 6 of the answers
  9. Where can you confirm this? I love the antique cars at SFGAm.
  10. To continue onto this, having the wingrider style coaster being turned into a 4D B&M, might be a striking idea, but like mentioned above, Six Flags and B&M have had many firsts, so it could be likely. Has the Great American Raceway departure been confirmed?
  11. Voted! Nice questions as well, can't wait to see the outcome
  12. Also for what rides to go for first, I'd go for Scorpion and Cheetah Chase, as those rides don't have the best capacity and the lines will be longer even on non-crowded days. Sheikra, Kumba, and Montu are people eaters and are usually walk ons throughout the day. Hope that helps!
  13. They posted an update on their Facebook.... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?fbid=198633770158459&id=124473544241149&aid=45201 So far, the ride seems to be going well. No information on testing yet, but the ride is still set to open on opening day, May 7th. The ride actually looks pretty fun and turned out very well, glad a park would do something like this. ADMIN EDIT: I went ahead and uploaded all of the photos to the thread. Thanks for sharing this with us!
  14. It takes a lot for me not to like a coaster.... but Great America Scream Machine at SF Over Georgia in the back was traitorous... Beyond awful.
  15. Am I the only one that noticed how intense the first drop's descent is? Sure the ride isn't that tall, but in the back, the first drop will be amazing!
  16. I actually enjoyed the Jimmy Neutron ride! Sure it might not be a Spiderman or a Mummy... But a lot of the Nickelodeon shows used in the ride was stuff I use to watch, and riding that ride really brought back some awesome memories. I do think it was a smart to strip the ride down later this year, as it is pretty outdated with what's in the ride. Rugrats, Hey Arnold, and Rocket Power are used in the ride, but I doubt many people know who they are because the shows are canceled... I'm all up for a Madagascar, Shrek, Kungfu Panda, Over the Hedge, How to Train Your Dragon, and Despicable Me style ride to replace it. Heck, an Avatar style themed ride sounds nice.... But farewell Nicktoon Blast! Rode you twice, and had fun both times
  17. Although I won't vote yes in the poll, you still got me as very interested! Flights to Texas are running pretty expensive, but that should stop me! Six Flags Over Texas is one of my favorite Six Flags parks, so visiting again would just be a plus with all the ERT!
  18. I have yet to not enjoy a ride at Universal Studios! At Universal: The Mummy is my 2nd favorite roller coaster, totally intense and truly what I love in a coaster! Simpsons Ride was an awesome replacement for Back to the Future, probably even better. Men In Black is just awesome, one of my favorite shooters. I haven't been on Toy Story Mania, so not sure how it could compare. Jaws could be a little better, but the ending kind of freaked me out. Hollywood RRRRRR is also really fun, especially in the front! Insane air, and the speaker technology was pretty interesting. Shrek 4D and the soon to be gone Nicktoon Blast were both definitely worth riding, and are both pretty long rides, a nice break from the heat. Haven't been on Twister or Disaster yet, so I cannot rate those, both had long lines last couple times I went. But E.T. has got to be one of the greatest rides ever made! The movie was just awesome, and the ride is totally relaxing and enjoyable. At Islands of Adventure: First, Harry Potter World is awesome! Forbidden Journey got me sick halfway through my first ride, but I rode it again anyways! Dragon Challenge hasn't changed, still awesome! Spiderman wasn't as good at Forbidden Journey for me, but it's still pretty high up there! Incredible Hulk was really fun, probably rode it 10 times out of all my visits, I love the layout, although it does die a little after the mid-course brake run. Dr. Seuss Landing is really great, heck, I'm in my mid-teens and I liked the monorail and Cat in the Hat... Jurassic Park has always scared me since I was little, so riding it against earlier this year reminded me of how awesome the ride was! Now I have yet to ride the log flume and the rapids rides, so maybe on my next visit! Universal Studios (and Islands of Adventure) still remains my favorite theme park / amusement park anywhere! Hersheypark and Liseberg following close behind!
  19. Sounds like my visit in August 2009 On that day, it took us almost an hour to park, and just to enter the park was another 30 minutes. They stopped me because my appearance didn't match my season pass, because my photo was from 3 years before (Six Flags Great America always mailed our passes, with the pictures from the previous years) and that all wasted time. On top of that, I got on 6 coasters in the whole day, flash passes were sold out! I do think operations on Goliath can be a heck of a lot better, as they open the station gates over 5 times for employees to get through. Just a horrible visit to the park. I just got to remember to book flash passes online!
  20. All I can is... Awesome! I waited a good 25 minutes for Shockwave is scorching hot weather, by myself, but I somehow managed to enjoy the ride! The layout is just totally lopsided and it still remains as a unique experience. It was fun, and like you said, it is reliable and definitely re-rideable in my book!
  21. I'm very interested in the upgraded facilities that were mentioned in the article. I found the park to be very bland, color wise. Sure, the rides were totally awesome, and well worth the many re-rides I did, but looking down the boardwalk with the dull colors of brown, grey, and white just made the place look extremely run down. I really hope in the upcoming years, some of the rides and shops on the boardwalk could get some repainting... That's all I ask for!
  22. Am I the only one that seemed to love this flyer? It's so flippin fun, it has an awkward layout and seriously really messed up, which totally makes an awesome ride in my book! Very enjoyable, as I re-rode it a couple times. And this might be the first roller coaster that I may ride that I have ridden before and after it's relocation! I wouldn't mind having one installed in my backyard...
  23. So before I cleared my camera, I took a picture of my bag of amazing crap and I forgot to post it!!! Robb, thank you SO much! I collect those theme park maps, and the ones you sent me were just phenomenal! (Great addition to my collection) Let's see what I got that I can remember... -TPR Mints -TPR Pen -Epcot Maps -Holiday Park Map -Oakwood Maps -Six Flags Tatto! -Stickers! -Kennywood Post card -Busch Gardens haunt map! -Pacman game! Which I love - And a whole bunch of other stuff! Got it all in one pic! Thanks again Robb!
  24. Got my package recently!!! Have yet to try it Nacho Lip Balm!!!
  25. Here are a couple photos of the construction of the new water slides! I'm sure SFGAm has lots of experience at building new attractions in the snow... There is still over a foot of snow lying around that hasn't melted in over a month! Not sure if any vertical construction started, but building water slides shouldn't take as long as a roller coaster (not much testing needed...) I take it the Go Karts have been removed. One can only hope they don't relocate to the old Splash Water Falls area, that area could be used for a much better attraction! Pictures are from SFGAmWorld.
