'big' new ride in 2018.. can't wait!!

earlier i saw a mom and her kids who lost contact with her husband. maybe a good sign. major prayers being sent to the community.

this thing looks frickn cool.. would love something like this going to Dollywood for 2018 season.. glad this design won, it certainly looks thrilling.. this is gonna put Energylandia on the map for thrill seekers

When exactly does 'avatar land' 'toy story land' and 'star wars land' open?

any word on the new expansion plan? looks promising for new rides but haven't heard anything as of yet

Dollywood 10 year expansion with 300 million to spend 2014: family launched steel coaster 2015: dreammore resort; parking lot 2016: launched rmc wood coaster 2017: drop tower; zamperla kid steel coaster; sideshow spin removal 2018: revamp of park; new flat ride; new park/guest features 2019: new themed area; interactive dark ride (maybe sfx style) 2020: hyper/mega coaster (longest ride in the park) 2021: family inverted steel coaster; new flat ride 2022: water coaster with themeing 2023: tall drop steel coaster with inversions with the addition of new shows and upkeep - this should be around 300 mil (and they said they can always add more $$)

looking forward to the whistle punk chaser and hoping for some nice themes. I think the theme for the ba-a-a coaster at europa park is the best for a kid coaster, would like to see something like that here. would be awesome if Dollywood put in a hyper/mega coaster for 2018. they can shoot for the longest roller coaster in the theme park, maybe even go for some other 'firsts'

no way, that's awesome, could you even imagine what could come in the future? a hyper coaster, massive dark ride, intamin, maybe a water coaster? i have a good feeling about 2018!

thanks, i figured i just wasnt sure. guessing the vortex will ride through the building and go out the building and into the air similar to superman at SFMM then reverse? hopefully we get some updates from these 2 soon. that sfx coaster though looks sweet

lol and maybe they have a plan to remove sideshow spin in the future and replace it with something else. time will tell!! im really liking this ten year expansion, and we still have 7-8 years left. off topic but does anyone know how much of the 300million remains? dreammore 150mil lightning rod 20mil firechaser 10-15mil ? parking lot expansion 5mil ??? still looking pretty good

it just seems so much similar to sideshow spin, just a little longer, seems strange to add a coaster that looks practically identical to one they already have. either way still excited, and the drop tower everyone has been waiting for on here for some years so am happy its finally happening

these 2 rides are looking to be way cool. im thinking the one going out of the building is the launch coaster but in the pictures on rcdb, makes it look like they are the same coaster. maybe a mistake? id love to travel to dubai to make my way here sometime, look way fun

sweet, i sure hope its a larger version like the one from cultus lake or maybe a different but similar layout. sideshow spin is already there but with this new addition im sure it will be removed at some point

looking forwad to the drop tower. hoping for a nice layout of the new zamperla and not the smaller one. was it confirmed officially its a steel zamperla?

with LR up and running and 2016 coming to its end, is there any word on what the 2017 season might bring? new shows, a new flat maybe?

I have officially moved to TN )))) I am about an hour from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.. hopefully soon will move to Sevierville. I plan to go to Dollywood in the next couple weeks for my birthday, unfortunately I have not been 'up to date' on anything new in the area of PF/GB. If anyone lives around the area and wants to get together ever, I am down with that!

There seem to be a lot of rumors circulating of RMC do a launched woodie for Alton Towers and some people are thinking Dollywood might get one. I'm really curious to see what will happen and who will get one if any.

why do they say it has the first 'high five' , isn't there one in Japan or something? Or was that taken down and I never knew about it. and where is the track station or did I miss it in the video??
