  1. CARP!!!!!!!!!!!!! They used to have those at Carowinds under the bridge over by Runaway Reptar. Don't know what happened to them. Maybe the ACErs ate them at C3 one year! Cool report. I didn't know you were from Seattle. I want to get out there someday and see the flying fish and ride a few coasters too.
  2. Sad that Roar isn't running any better. My last and only trip in 2003 it was awesome! I can't believe the stupid water ride is finally working. Oh wait, I think I just heard it break down again.
  3. Great pics! Did you use photoshop to put the different images together? They look so seemless.
  4. They should use this as an example in Business 101 of what NOT to do when starting a business. Sad.
  5. Now THAT's what Kings Dominion's Tomb Raider should have looked like! Awesome report as always.
  6. ^^ Trust me, Ricochet's brakes right now are the worst I've ever experienced. They need to have a medic there at the exit to check for internal bleeding!
  7. Robb I just feel now like I'm in some "Chains of love!"... *crickets* Seriously kids, go check out the groups he listed. Depeche Mode and Erasure are both great. I know you young whipper snappers think that only boy bands are awesome, but you need to go check out some real music. Thanks Robb for bringing back some good memories. I've been slowly seeing a lot of bands from the 80s that I never saw in my teen days... last summer I saw Poison, Journey, Cinderella and Def Leppard (2 concerts)!!! I'm seeing Weird Al for the first time at Carowinds Aug 4!
  8. Yeah, you would never see it if you weren't in the kiddie section looking for it. It's kinda towards the front of the park, on the right when you first go by that Nickelodeon splash section. It's cheesy and out of date theming wise, but it's fun and cooky!
  9. Hey guys...just added a video from the trip! It's nothing fancy like Robb does, but hey it's something... I guess.
  10. ^ That's not pathetic. You're 12, when I was 12 we hardly did ANY parks, we didn't even do Carowinds every year. Carowinds (multiple times, home park) Ghost Town in the Sky (construction tour) Ober Gatlinburg NASCAR Speed Park (Pigeon Forge) Dollywood Geauga Lake Cedar Point Kennywood NC Zoo (hey, they have a carousel!) Busch Gardens Europe Kings Dominion Still to come...Ghost Town in the Sky.
  11. ^ Yeah I saw that...but I agree with it too. Millie is still my #3 steel coaster, but yeah the CP fanboys make it out to be the best all the time when it's obvious there are better coasters out there. And dont' even get me started on all the fanboys saying Maverick is the best coaster out there...it's not. Not even a Top 10 ride for me.
  12. Since apparantly my question is a dumb one that is going nowhere, might as well close this thread. I'll keep my questions to myself next time.
  13. Yeah the nerve of me asking a question that I didn't know the answer to. I get sick of people that are like...."that's a stupid question, you should know that.". Well obviously, I don't work at an amusement park and don't know everything about coasters, even though I've been riding them for decades now...that's scary. But I thought it was a valid question, that I've never heard answerd before.
  14. I wanted to do Idlewild last month, but I was so tired from my midwest trip that I didn't add it on. Now I wish I had I guess. But I'll get there someday and do the lopsided Vekoma mouse!
  15. But no matter how great these parks are, they'll never steal your heart from Carowinds. Right? Cool reports.
  16. You should go back when it's finished...oh wait, it is! I like architecture and random stuff like that as well. Great PTR!
  17. LOL! I didn't even notice that either for shock of the length of the line! That looks like one of those stupid camp games where you had to pass the egg from one person to another without using your hands. Man, talk about sucking face.
  18. Pretty much any park this size is going to be busy on a Saturday. I was there on a Thursday last year and I did all the coasters in like 2.5 - 3 hours tops. Longest waits were Boss and Mr Freeze (probably 20 minutes tops even with only one train). BTW, do they run both trains on that ride anymore?
  19. The kid died. Very sad. I feel very bad for the parents and family. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/display.var.1550123.0.man_dies_after_rollercoaster_plunge.php
  20. Great report. I just discovered it this morning and read through all the updates!
  21. Cool report. I really liked SF St Louis on my first trip there last year. Of the 4 SFs I've been to, it was my 2nd favorite! The spinner looks fun too.
  22. Someone needs to take their happy pills. Next time, if you have a problem with a thread, why not go to a mod instead of acting like a butt.
  23. If my body goes from an upright position, to upside down...then it is an inversion. The only time it's not, is like the 1/2 loops on the Vekoma flying dutchmans. Borg is only 5 inversions, but Carowinds said it had 8 because they counted each 1/2 inversion. If you don't count an inline as an inversion, they you shouldn't count an Immellmann as one either.
  24. So I was thinking today (yes, I can think every now and then). What happens when say your nice and shiny Arrow suspended coaster needs wheels, but Arrow is no longer around? Maybe that's not the best example, but what do parks do when their ride's manufacturer is no longer around? Do they build wheels and such in-house, or are there companies out there that still make the parts?
