  1. They already have that at SFOG on Halloween. It's just under the name: Gang Fight-The ride.
  2. 19. Never wear spandex 20. If you are a girl and overweight, please cover up your body and don't be hanging out of your clothes. It is not sexy, it's *edited*. 21. Don't go around spouting facts about the coaster you are in line for when the facts you have are about a coaster at Cedar Point. (Especially if there is someone in front or behind you that is a TNR member). You beat me to it.
  3. Here's my list: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/count.php?userid=3194 "New" parks for me this year were: Beech Bend - eh SFKK - blah Lake Winnie - nice! Holiday World - very nice!
  4. http://www.carowindsconnection.com/community/index.php?showtopic=926&st=15entry12931 ^ Check it out. Post 4. I hope this happens, I really do. Tweetsie for those that don't know has been having some problems lately, and now they've got the positibility of their land being sold off (they lease like 2/3 of the park I think). Hopefully this will happen and a classic park will be saved (and maybe a clone of Thunderhead or Ozark Wildcat will be built). he he I would love that, since I'm only like 2hours from Tweetsie
  5. That sounds like a suggestive question... :o lol! Anyway, they are no bigger than 20mb each. They aren't very long, plus I haven't done any video editing and such, so they are just straight video footage. I only have about 5 so far at most.
  6. That's a cool looking ride. Although it looks like they got the idea from S&S's Screamin Swing (which is a blast by the way!!) I've never heard of that company. It's funny how many of their rides are remakes of older rides like the paratrooper.
  7. I voted Sheikra. Although I haven't been on it yet, I have watched the video and it looks awesome. (Thanks Robb for the vid!) Also a tie to that one would be Hades(also haven't ridden yet). It looks awesome. How many times can I use awesome in a post? It would be so awesome if I like got an awesome award for using awesome so many times! IJST is the only one on the list I have ridden so far. It's a fun little coaster, but nothing to write home about.
  8. It's still doing this thing where you submit your post and it errors out. It gives you a blank page, but still posts your reply anyway. It's just not taking you back to the thread.
  9. ^ It depends on the operator though. By the time we got on they had switched ops and that one didn't do it. I thought it was cool. You are now 100ft, 150ft... and it has a speaker on the very top so basically the riders are the only ones that can hear the op. The one I recorded was like you are dropping in 5,4,3 (and then he'd let them drop). lol
  10. http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2UKG351OB8JID1QHTN404AV8QX Here's a link to the vid. Hopefully it works ok.
  11. Hi Robb and Elissa... I was wondering if you know of a good place I can upload videos? I've got some footage I wouldn't mind uploading for people to view, but I'm clueless what a good site is. Thanks. Wes "knows nothing about video hosting" Connell
  12. Now if they only built an interstate highway to Spain. lol I've got some decent footage of Acro in action, but I don't know of a good place to upload videos. Any ideas?
  13. You guys are all off. It's going to be "Escalator: The Ride" Like in Robb and Eilssa's video!!!!
  14. Yeah, we're flyer stealers. And proud of it!
  15. Last night I watched following... Mutiny on the Bounty - Yeah it's an old b&w, but that doesn't mean it's going to suck. I've seen a lot of color movies that sucked. lol By far this is one of my favorite Clark Gable movies. (My favorite is probably "It happened one night" then Gone with the wind after that.) Considering this movie was made in 1935, they had some decent "at sea" scenes and such. Kind of made me think of Russell Crowe's movie Master and Commander - The far side... (which is in my DVD collection). A good movie, if you can stand watching B&W's. Grade - B *** Dreamscape - I either had never heard of this movie or had forgotten about it. It's a scifi/thriller from what looks like 82 or 83. My favorite line was "Who does your decorating, Darth Vader???". It's about Dennis Quaids charecter who is a psychic (if he was one, then he would know not to do that horrid movie Cold Creek Manor) lol Anyway...he's recruited to help people with their nightmares by entering their dreams to help them (think The Cell without all the nice sfx). That's about all you need to know, it's a thriller/sci-fi movie using the genre pretty well. Christopher Plummer (Sound of Music) was excellent as the villain. I don't think I've ever seen him as a bad guy. Considering the age of the film, the sfx were pretty good. It's got one of the first uses of "morphing" I can remember seeing. Although you can tell what they did to morph the guy. Overall considering the age of the film B+ - For some reason they didn't have a rating on it, it'd easily get an R rating for about 3 uses of the F word. Other than that it doesn't have much except a little violence.
  16. Hi again... Acrophobia is at Six Flags over Georgia - Atlanta It's a great drop ride. The tower itself used to be one of those plane rides where you got in a "biplane" like from World War I and it just rotated you up to the top of the tower. They took the plane ride off and put the drop ride on the tower!
  17. Does it do the tilt at the top like their other tower Acrophobia? They look very similar, although Acro is 100ft shorter.
  18. Awesome looking drop tower! How tall is it? I love the theming and those shirts. lol :o 8)
  19. That's why there's so much headbanging on this ride!!! I should have known a Vekoma would do that!! Six Flags is notorious for typos and cut-n-paste errors. But they aren't the only ones. PCarowinds said that Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion had a lift hill last year. lol I want my coaster credit!!!
  20. No that one gets my vote for "World's tackiest McDonald's"!!! Man that place is so horrible looking inside. My one and only visit I didn't have problems with crowds or anything though.
  21. IOA is probably the 2nd nicest park I've been to, and that's 2nd to BGW so that's saying a lot!!! I loved the layout, loved the fact that it's complely flat and the coasters (adult) that they do have are awesome. CP however has many more coasters, so I picked CP. IOA is a much nicer layout and park though IMO.
  22. ^ Anything is possible. It's just not probible. I can't recall any park except the Six Flags parks adding two major coasters in one year. And we all know what happened to the finances of Six Flags now don't we??? Busch is too smart to go into debt up to their eyeballs like Six Flags did. Busch seems to be very conservitive when they invest and they usually wait and do something really good instead of just adding a crappy coaster every 2 years. I just don't understand why it's taken so long for BGW to get a coaster.
  23. ^ There were also rumors of a lawsuit. It's strange that they've kept the Drachenfire station and the houses for the trains!!! It makes me think we might see another coaster in the spot sometime soon. I've been wishing for a woody or a custom floorless for BGW for a long time now. They need a new coaster badly. 1999 was Apollo. Since then they have removed 2 coasters. One problem with that. Dukes of Hazzard has nothing to do with Europe. BGW is a European themed park.
  24. ^^ What I normally do as far as going around the park is park at the South Gate, I hit Top Gun first then go to your right around the park. You'll next come to Nick Central and our beloved flyers!!! Or if you go counterclockwise you can hit Thunder Road (racer woody) and then finish with the flyers!! It seems that more people use the North Gate. But it's hard to tell since I'm always there an hour earlier than the GP for Platinum ERT!!! 8) Oh by the way.... If you are a member of ACE you get HALF OFF at Carowinds!!! http://www.aceonline.org/discounts/
  25. ^^ NASHVILLE VALLEY has gone out of business. That's what a Nashville local told me. I don't know, maybe because I've been to a few really bad Six Flags I didn't think too badly of Beech Bend!!! LOL It's not somewhere I'd go all the time, but I enjoyed my time there. But the park was empty on a Sunday morning when I went in May so I could ride everything multiple times. Surprisingly the little looping star or whatever it's called wasn't too rough. It's a traveling model, so I wasn't expecting much. The loop is pretty intense since it's so small. The gravatron though felt like it was going to fly apart during my ride!!! Not the kind of scary I like on a thrill ride!!
